"Miles, [producer] Kid Harpoon and me are all good mates, the song was just a by-product of our camaraderie," he said in a statement.

"Looking forward to performing this one with Miles, it's really heavy so it'll be carnage. I might even wear a paisley shirt!"

The track will reportedly head up his third studio album Growing Up in Public, which is slated for release on October 14.

The LP follows 2011's At Your Inconvenience, which peaked at number three on the chart and spawned the hit singles 'Read All About It', 'Remedy' and 'Avalon'.

It was recently reported that Green was forced to cancel a gig after being hit by a car.

I love Miles so much, I can't wait for his next album and he needs to do something with Alex again.

Not a massive Pro Green fan, but hopefully this will be good.

Miles Kane has confessed that he thinks some of The Last Shadow Puppets' material is "bonkers".

The singer, who releases his second solo album Don't Forget Who You Are next Monday (June 3), spoke about his side-project with Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner in an interview with Digital Spy.

Kane said: "There's a Puppets B-side called 'Hang The Cyst' and it's just a bonkers tune; there's all these little bits. It's ******ing great, it's just strange to listen back to those insanity tunes.

"I listen back to The Rascals and think, 'How the ****** did this… it's ******ing bonkers?!' There's a couple of great songs but there's some where I think, '******, I couldn't even do that! It's just insanity. That weed must have been strong!'"

Kane also confirmed to DS that he and Turner will release a second album under The Last Shadow Puppets, the follow-up to 2008's The Age of the Understatement.

"Me and Al', we're sort of on-par. He's gonna have his record out later this year, but whether we hit it in 2015 or something," he added.

"We deffo will. I'm so glad I've done this second record, so whether it's after this we'll see. We're both game."

It's a bit repetitive, but catchy enough, hopefully it sells well
