All of the time

And I always wish I was on them (apart from the ones arriving back here that is)

I know that feeling very well. I was so tempted to apply for my Canadian working holiday visa last night. I may do it this month just so I have it incase I decide to bugger off from the UK again.

You fancy going to Canada then do you

Benjamin
02-06-2013, 02:23 AM
Yeah, I have a fair few friends there and it's the last working holiday visa I can get since I have used up my Australia and New Zealand ones.

You might as well, it makes for such an eventful life going to all of these places, I envy you lol

Benjamin

I love how people envy me. Anyone can apply for them. All you need to do is apply for it and have a bit of money, not even a lot and you can go. Work is easy enough to find if you are not fussy.

I remember one of my friends once said, "I wish I could do all that, but I haven't got the time to plan it all". I think collectively NZ took me all of about 3 hours to plan, lol. I was drunk and applied for my visa online, next day it had been accepted, then all I really did was book a flight and travel insurance. That was as far as my planning went, haha.

Alright well I don't actually envy you haha, I just think it's really cool how you can just decide there and then that you are going to do something, it's a great trait to have :)

I was wondering how long until somebody sung that, lol.

Yeah, it is a nice trait to have, but sometimes it's a pain in the arse. I find it very difficult to stay one place for long.

Usually i just look at them waiting to see the blinking red light, I'm always on the look out for UFO's, not really interested in planes.

People on planes are mostly just boring business people anyway.

Yeah....my little boy loves planes too. Last year he thought all planes went to Spain, now he insists they are all going to Bolton!

You make it sound quite simple Ben, but you have to have a fair bit of cash behind you as well as you have to legislate for not getting a job, paying for accommodation once you get there. I'm intrigued as you landed in the UK and already got a job (so you must be very lucky with work) and got a flat, so you must have a trust fund or be very savvy with money which is is :suspect:

Business people, or families of such, accrue tons of flight mileage, and therefore trips from here to there, or to way-out-there, are free. Have to build up those mileage points, Cherie!

Me? I don't do planes. Done them, yes. Over water and mountains, yes. Not a fan. Thinking of taking a raft over to see you guys there in the UK. Safe as long as the water supply holds up. ;)

As far is work is concerned, I'd most likely go with prostitution.

Yeah SA that is kind of my point, you need a bit of backing in some shape or form to travel like that, as the jobs you will get at the other end will usually pay poorly! I await Ben's response, may be he is a prostitute :suspect:

Personally this kind of travel doesn't interest me, I rather travel to places as a tourist and then come home.:joker:

..haha, I laughed out loud at that SA...but I know what you mean about flying..oddly, I used to love it when I was younger and got really excited, but if I have to fly now, I try to only go on shorter flights as I'm not comfortable until I'm back on the ground...and that's quite limiting...I do like to travel and experience different cultures though...

..I'll get right on to organising that raft building for your visit, SA..
