I've just started going, I hate the gym usually but really need to tone up and bulk up a tad.

I go just to look at the old man testicles in the locker room.
Sometimes I wonder... do they shave? or did the hair just fall out?

Came in here to say something but after reading lostalex's post I'm damned if I know what I was going to say..................
Oh yeah... I do go the gym. But not to look at old men's testicles.

Used to as my family are fitness fanatics, but not any more.
No.
I used to, but the "enthusiasts" weren't very sociable, so I took up walking/rambling/hiking instead ..... :pipe:

No, I would like to but I am poor and also, too anxious to immerse myself in an activity which involves being around random people who I don't know.
Every now and then, when it's convenient (by which I mean about 10 times a year)

I have a weights bench and rowing machine at home.
Not any more, I used to go though and go to classes like body jam a lot but there's nowhere near my new house that's convenient enough so I now do all my cardio and strength training at home.

If walking up the stairs to go to the bathroom counts then yes

This was what took me so long, and the feeling of being 'judged' but when you get going you dont actually care LOL

I take my son to the gym does that count? I like to run or walk instead.

Nope, I much prefer being outdoors going for a walk.
However I would love one of these treadmills for home

..I used to go most days, I was a bit obsessed but I haven't been for ages now..I still walk and cycle though..I don't like running...

I really don't understand most of these responses. When i'm at the gym i'm very deluded, and i convince myself that everyone is looking at me, and thinking "wow he's really working out hard, he's awesome".
I look around, and everyone else seems to be so much slower and lazier. i try to set a good example, i see myself as the leader of the gym. Everyone look to me to set a good pace. It makes me work harder
I don't understand all of this negativity.

I used to go during lunch time when I was in the City.
Now I do not need to, as I go for dancing also I moved to a town house - 2 floors. I will be up and down all the time.

cant afford the gym so i do it the hard but cheaper way at home. no need for a gym really anyway .you got outside to run & indoors to shake the bootie lift the weights and puff and pant like a 2 dollar hooker without being looked at lol
