Difference there is, our midfield is embarrassing. Aside from Carrick, we have a 75 year old, a guy who's favourite position is backseat in Burger King, and Tom 'piss myself at the thought of making a long pass' Cleverley.

You need more signings but, have at least fixed your width problem some what.. Whereas us, well, never mind, 'it's Anderson's year'.

Sky sources understand Wayne Rooney is unhappy at Manchester United and is looking to leave.

Sources close to Rooney claim the 27-year-old England international striker is "angry and confused" about his treatment by the club.

All Moyes' doing. Absolutely stupid to basically say he's on trial.

How can you blame Moyes? It was Fergie who rightfully called him out and exposed him leaving Moyes to have to unfortunately pick up the pieces.

Moyes said he wants to keep Rooney. And then basically says he's on trial. Excellent way to convince a player to stay.

Fergie said he put in a transfer request, Rooney denies it. Ferguson was wrong to go public about it. As always, majority of United fans take Fergie's side. After all, that man is perfect.

fifty five million for Cavani? Daft money.

Legend killer
16-07-2013, 06:18 PM
The whole Rooney situation is a joke

Like I said many times Fergie should have called him out on his bull**** when he first did this routine a couple years back. It's great and all he did it in the end but he left Moyes to clean up the mess

The only positive is Moyes calling it as it is. Wayne the last year and a half can barely control a ball nor make a 2 year pass yet thinks he is a main player on this team

Moyes is doing a great job so far IMHO

Did what SAF didn't have the balls to do and call Wayne out
Has managed to convince our best winger to stay ( Another situation of MANY Fergie left in a mess)
Has given ADAN game time on tour
And the fact that Moyes can actually see our CM is fuken **** and ACTUALLY PUT A BID IN FOR A CM not seen for 4 years at OT

Ryan57
16-07-2013, 06:22 PM
Back when Rooney first handed in a transfer request a large amount of United fans wanted The Glazers out. Felt they were holding back money. Yet when Rooney calls them out on it, those fans then slaughter Rooney for having the EXACT same opinion as them.

Rooney still had a good campaign last season. Not up there with his best, but it was still a good one and better than most other players.

If Rooney should be gotten rid of for one 'poor' season, as some fans call it, then Valencia, Young, Nani, Anderson and possibly Welbeck should all be sold. Wouldn't mind adding average Tom to that list either.

We did make bids in the past for creative players, but we just didn't get them. Nasri was all but a done deal, Ozil chose Real, Sneijder... hmm, not entirely sure what happened and others.

LOOOL brother Rooney was a fuken disgrace. Don't give a **** how many goals/assists he managed to eat up all you had to do was watch the fatty to see he couldn't make a simple nor could he control the most simple of passes

That said I have SAID many times some of this has to do with Fergie. When not stinking up the number 10 spot Shinji should have been in Fergie was using him as a winger one week then a CM the next. I am pretty sure given a fresh challenge with a Chelsea or Arsenal( not Barca or RM A. because he can barely speak English let alone learn another language B. has the touch of a rapist) he would reclaim his position as one of the best in the PL

Valencia - You Know my thoughts on that bum

Young - You know my thought on that bum

Nani - One of the ONLY genuinely WC players we have

Anderson - Fat Ando's time is up

Welbeck - If we intend on playing him up top yes cause he couldn't hit a barn door behind striker HELL NO cause he is dam close WC at everything else

Surprisingly I would actually give Young a fresh start this year. Moyes plays his wingers a lot more narrow then SAF and I actually think that would benefit Ashley. With this in mind and if we play RVP and KAG with him Nani will be hitting WC heights BOOKMARK THAT

Kagawa was nothing special for the first half of the campaign. Granted, it was his first season and a new league to adjust to. It's just a lot are suddenly thinking he will be amazing, all of a sudden. I feel a lot must be basing that on his time at Dortmund, which isn't the greatest indication given England is a very different league.

Don't get me wrong, I like Kagawa. It's just, I don't see this confidence that Kagawa will suddenly be world class from the get go.

Even despite, at times, having a crap touch, Rooney was still one of our better players last season.

We are currently in a tough position. Missed out on Thiago (because we fart about) and Rooney looks to be all but gone. And we've brought nobody in to fix that embarrassing midfield, yet.

Edit: I would rather see the back of that hunch back Marlo Stanfield. Sick of the sight of him. (Young)

He is ALREADY a World Class NUMBER 10. He play for Dortmund was orgasmic and was voted player of the year in the league which player wise ****S on the PL and recently embarrassed an Italian team containing Pirlo and CO

Not his fault he was shoved out onto the wing which he does play occasionally for Japan however he is actually allowed to move away from the touchline unlike in Fergie's system and it's not his fault that when he did play number 10 80% of the time we had tripe like Rooney ahead of him and Tony beside him

Shinji is what a number 10 should be quick , nimple , great movement , great touch he does things that you couldn't make Wayne do on FIFA

And although I blast the mess Fergie left we are a Modric and a Fellani away from being UP THERE. And unlike Fergie Moyes actually knows this as shown in his recent interview

De Gea
Raf Vidic Evans Evra
Nani Carrick Fellaini Kagawa
Modric
RVP

De Gea
Raf Ferdinand Evans Evra
Nani Carrick Modric Zaha
Kagawa
RVP

De Gea
Raf Vidc Ferdinand Evra

Not even mentioning Jones (CB/FB VERSION) , Smalling , Adan , Clev and co

Oh, yeah, based on his time at Dortmund, yes. Last season, he wasn't world class. Struggled to settle into the English game to begin with.

Would prefer better than Fellaini, tbh. Dirty bastard with those elbows. Would love us to sign Gundogan.

Good to see you place Cleverley where he belongs. Away from the starting 11 and just a squad player.

Legend killer
16-07-2013, 07:13 PM
He struggled to play with players who would rather hoof the ball and struggled to play as a strict winger nothing to do with English football

And the Fellani comment is very wide off the mark. He is the EXACT player you need against the Bayern's , Barca's and Dourtmund's of this world. Even with Kag , Nani and say Modric you can't beat them at there own game. Fellaini is the exact enforcer type you need against these sort of teams and offers a huge amount on set pieces which are vital against said teams. Also it's not like he can't dribble with a ball he has incredible touch and skill when I have seen him

Clev is a squad player and every team needs them should NEVER start big games for us though.

bbfan1991
16-07-2013, 07:28 PM
I think if Fellaini comes to United, he will play as a DM. He can play in that position and although he has an angry streak we need someone with the technique and physicality in midfield and who can scores.

There are questions about whether he is good enough or not, but David Moyes knows him well of course and I will trust his decision if he signs the player for United.

PSG have got a class signing in Edinson Cavani. Kevin Gameiro looks likely to leave for Sevilla now!

"We probably need a wee bit more support at the top end of the field and that's something we'll look out for.

"It's not really about numbers, it's about quality.

"That'll be mixed with needing cover in the left-back position - that's something we're looking at. And we want that extra bit of quality at the top end of the field.

"If we can do that over the next number of weeks we'll be happy."

Rodgers was asked for the latest on Pepe Reina.

"Nothing as of yet," he said.

"The latest was that there was an offer to take him on loan but that's something that hasn't been discussed any further."

Thank god.. I was worried we were ignoring the left back problem

You think United would have publicised two bids with no encouragement from Barca or the player???? Moyes has done in 3 weeks what Fergie couldn't do be bothered to do in 5 years

This is a new era

WHERE YOUTH IS GIVEN A FAIR CHANCE
WHERE ATTACKING PRESSING FOOTBALL IS PLAYED
WHERE BITCHES LIKE ROONEY GET CALLED OUT

Honestly the most excited I have been in YEARS for the start of the season. We may not win as many trophies in the first few years of the transition but at least I know we plan on playing exciting attacking football again which as a fan is just as important as winning trophies. The fact we will also have a midfield next year also makes my balls tingle

Jemal

I actually think we will get Fabregas.
Why i say is because we bidded 25m. And Barcelona never officially rejected the bid. Which means it must of been negotiated for us to bid another 30m PLUS add ons. Adds on is key because that shows barcelona must of negotiated a counter offer. I think we may get him.

Well our whole backroom team should be fired on the spot because bidding pointlessly for a player we have no chance of getting is not going to look good on the club or Moyes

IN MOYES WE TRUST

not so sure myself.. if the club were certain he wasnt leaving they would reject any bids and make it known hes not for sale but instead they are obviously negotiating and waiting for the new manager to see what he wants to do.

Well the team of negotiators should of been sacked after the pathetic attempts at getting Thiago. United fans were mad after that, so what better than going for Fabregas, showing that we have bid and attempted to get a top player. Benzema and Villa et al.

Fabregas just seems so unlikely to me because;

1. I can't see him doing it to Arsenal. Admittedly, nowadays the majority of players don't have loyalty, but I think he does. I may be proven wrong, however.

2. He spent the best part of two summers trying to get this move. He's been there for just two seasons. To want to leave, after all the work to get there, would have made it pointless.

3. With Thiago gone, if he's worried about playing time, that shouldn't be an issue. Xavi is nearing the end of his career.

4. New manager will most likely see a place in his team for him. He'd be an idiot if he didn't.

Hmm, it's a fair point. As you say, they'll probably wait to see what the new manager wants to do. I highly doubt he wouldn't be in any new manager's plans.

1. I can't see him doing it to Arsenal. Admittedly, nowadays the majority of players don't have loyalty, but I think he does. I may be proven wrong, however. He took a pay cut and even payed to get away from them in the first place and one of his best mates in RVP is at United already

He spent the best part of two summers trying to get this move. He's been there for just two seasons. To want to leave, after all the work to get there, would have made it pointless Cold hard truth is there is a world cup coming up and if he realistically wants to be starting those WC games he needs first team club football and new manager or not if you think he is splitting up the Iniesta/Xavi duo you crazy

With Thiago gone, if he's worried about playing time, that shouldn't be an issue. Xavi is nearing the end of his career. Thiago was injured last year yet Fab still didn't get the gametime he will need for a WC starting place. Regardless if he is getting older there is ZERO chance of him and Iniesta being split up any time in the next 3 years the fans would turn on the manager and club just like that

New manager will most likely see a place in his team for him. He'd be an idiot if he didn'tNo doubt warming the bench for Xavi and Iniesta

If/When Barca accept a bit for him it will just show him first hand how much importance they really put on him.

Reality check. We aren't getting him. Moyes and Woodward will get us Cabaye and Felliani just before the season, if even that. Can't believe how much of a joke we have become in the market since Gill departed.
