Nicole Scherzinger struggles to get a word in at X Factor auditions as Sharon Osbourne dominates on her first day back
Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly already struggling to get a word in at the X Factor auditions as returning judge Sharon Osbourne has been dominating the camera time.
According to The Sun, Sharon, 60, overshadowed the usually outspoken Nicole, 34, on the first day of auditions in Glasgow.
A source told the paper: “Sharon certainly made the most of her comeback. She sat in the middle of the panel and had something flamboyant to say about every act.”
While Gary and Louis reportedly ‘chuckled’ at Mrs O’s outlandish comments, Nicole was left fighting to get a word in edgewise.
The source continued: “Nicole enjoyed being the wacky one who would say silly things and get loads of attention last year.
“But in Glasgow she struggled to get into the limelight as Sharon was always hogging it.
“Nicole likes Sharon but has got to raise her game or she’ll end up on the cutting room floor.”
And it seems that Sharon isn’t holding back when it comes to being brutally honest with this year’s hopefuls.
After one particularly bad singer auditioned, Sharon failed to keep herself composed, laughing so hard that she fell off her chair.
She also poked fun at her love of plastic surgery – much to Louis and Gary’s amusement – telling one singer whose profession was tree surgeon – “Ooh, I love a good surgeon!”
Let’s hope that Nicole is able to find her feet at the next round of auditions in Birmingham.
We don’t want another Dannii Minogue vs. Sharon Osbourne situation on our hands this series.
