In this thread, I have sought to compile a list of 100 of the greatest TiBBers to ever grace the forum. I shall find quotes, recall defining events and friendly faces, and list them from #100 to #1. The word "nostalgia" comes from the Greek words "to return" and "to suffer". Let's try to show the Greeks how to celebrate.

The whole list is entirely subjective, and by no means reflective of TiBB's opinion as a whole. I'm just an enduring old fool with some spare time. Let's play nice. Do not be discouraged if you are not included... you just clearly aren't that great. X

We kick off the list with the only real member beginning with an X that sticks out in my mind (ignoring all the vaguely chavvy x-GirlsName-x members). Sure - that might have been because a picture of his genitals circulated TiBB in 2008/9, and what lovely genitals they were, but Xander brought a lot to the forum in his prime. The creator of TiBB's very first Photography contest, Xander had a flair for the artistic sides of TiBB and was often involved with designing BB Houses and helping other members with their signatures and avatars when the forum was crazy about Forum Shops. He was also quite a level-headed, nice young chap. We hope the world's treating you, sir. :)

Although not necessarily a strong creator of anything lasting in terms of games and events on TiBB, Annie remains to this day a welcome reminder of 2008 TiBB with her occasional returns to the forum. As part of the chat and games heavyweights in that period, she was a regular in the chat threads and a great and lovely person to talk to. She also contributed to the shortlived but entertaining TiBB Radio channel, and often made threads welcoming and embracing new members into the forum. She also wanted to marry Rocko and Fom (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67675), before that kind of thing was everywhere.

Good old Ceecee remains something of a TiBB eccentric today. She hasn't posted in a little over a while but these short trips away are quite frequent, and sooner or later she's going to come back with her own unique sense of style and sass that make her so beloved. She rises above the TiBB dramas and is a good friend to those who value her, and she makes this list for those reasons.

As (hopefully not) BB has now finished I thought some of you might appreciate getting your favourite series on dvd so heres your chance.
Anyone that can take the time and consideration to post a handful of strangers (and a pretty hefty handful at that) copies of DVDs of the very show we know and love, all printed in lovely cases and even with the eye on the discs, deserves our undying respect. Sure, the offer was shortlived, but it was a gesture that was incredibly kind. Amazed that some people got pissed off about being past the deadline, really.

I see where you're coming from yes, and people shouldn't go out of their way to insult her, the spamming in the Britney thread was ridiculous and immature, but you guys need to learn to be less defensive. If I'm honest, it has got a LOT better, before you couldn't say a single negative thing without your head being bitten off but it obviously still needs work.
I'd never insult Britney without reason, yes I make negative comments in the Britney thread [usually about her miming which I personally detest anyway, and I've said the same thing in the Xtina thread] so I hope I'm not someone that's being described in this thread as provoking y'all.

Also, I don't think these 'official artist' threads should be JUST for fans. I've always seen it as a place for the fans to hang out and talk yeah, but their main purpose IMO is to post news about that artist and discuss them, be it negative or positive [as long as it's mature, obvs]
It's been a good few years since I even talked to Daren, let alone since he was a moderator and regular poster around these parts. As a member, he had a distinguishable posting style with his strange uses of punctuation;;x But as a moderator, he was pretty fair and lovely, and really threw himself into TiBB by running various music games and Hottest Celebrity polls that were pretty much adopted by yours truly in his absence. He was also a regular contributor and participant in almost every forum game going around 2007-9.

Yeah this is definitely the greatest thing he did on the forum, I'd say it was probably the predecessor to Most Loved because it focused on what users had contributed to the forum rather than being just a standard forum game and I think it really added to the whole experience of when Big Brother was running, it encouraged people to post more, think their posts through and get to know people too.

He just posted heaps of ****e about Paris Hilton everywhere on the forum and was really obnoxious about it, I maybe made one or two comments (if that) about how I thought it was a bit OTT and then he started saying I was homophobic and kept adding me into MSN conversations with all his friends and making horrible comments, it was bordering on online bullying so I blocked them, stopped using TiBB for a long while and then when I came back I didn't have any friends and had to start all over again. I used to be good friends with Princess before all that but she was in that gang and I just felt like a bit of an outsider and no one should be made to feel that way on a forum... bearing in mind as well that I think that was the first time TiBB had ever really seen anything like that, prior to the 2006 lot joining I was one of a very small minority of members who were (young) teenagers, the forum was a much more mature place, there weren't so many posts per day and having 1,000 posts meant you were a huge contributor to the forum etc...

So just the context of it all really, it was the first time any kind of drama like that had ever appeared on the forum. The forum changed in tone along with Big Brother - when Big Brother was a social experiment, the regular users were interested in discussing it. He just posted heaps of ****e about Paris Hilton everywhere on the forum and was really obnoxious about it, I maybe made one or two comments (if that) about how I thought it was a bit OTT and then he started saying I was homophobic and kept adding me into MSN conversations with all his friends and making horrible comments, it was bordering on online bullying so I blocked them, stopped using TiBB for a long while and then when I came back I didn't have any friends and had to start all over again. I used to be good friends with Princess before all that but she was in that gang and I just felt like a bit of an outsider and no one should be made to feel that way on a forum... bearing in mind as well that I think that was the first time TiBB had ever really seen anything like that, prior to the 2006 lot joining I was one of a very small minority of members who were (young) teenagers, the forum was a much more mature place, there weren't so many posts per day and having 1,000 posts meant you were a huge contributor to the forum etc...

So just the context of it all really, it was the first time any kind of drama like that had ever appeared on the forum. The forum changed in tone along with Big Brother - when Big Brother was a social experiment, the regular users were interested in discussing it. When it became a reality TV media circus that sought ratings based on faked drama, it attracted users who liked to cause drama...

It was weird because I wasn't on the receiving end of any bullying in my every day life, that was the only time in my life I've ever properly felt like I was getting picked on for no reason. I stopped using the forum in 2006 and came back every now and then and felt like I was getting nowhere so stopped using it again... and it wasn't really until 2008 that I made friends on the forum again (Shaun, Darenn and Billy) and I've been here ever since. But there was a year and a half long period maybe where I just didn't feel like I had a place on here because those guys were dominant members on the forum and made me feel worthless and would make horrible comments any time I logged in... I'm so glad he doesn't use this site anymore. I don't think you ever forgive the first bully in your life, really, do you?

He actually tried to contact me on Facebook a couple of years ago... so I deleted the message, changed my privacy settings and never replied. No interest.

Whilst certain members hold a very heavy and very potent grudge against Chrizzle :idc: I personally quite liked him in the time I was around. From what I understand, 2006 TiBB was incredibly similar to 2008 TiBB and 2010 TiBB: a lot of new members grouped together and dominated the chat and games section. The inevitable groups turned into cliques and arguments were had, but that's part of TiBB life and outside of that Chrizzle made a great contribution to the forum: he was the first one to start TiBB Nominations.

The first Man City stan on the forum (and before the takeover, too - lucky bugger), Ryan shared practically everything with the forum. I remember him needing to get stuff deleted because it might jeopardise a relationship :laugh: but snafus aside, he started the "what are you listening to?" threads trend, was a strong contributor to BB6, music and general chat, and all-around nice guy :pipe:

One word comes to mind when I try and remember TiBB's first Sam. Cute. Which is why I'm going to use more than one word in this little bio. The creator of the TiBB Apprentice, Sam took part in so many of the 2006-2009 games: Next Top Model, TiBB Big Brother, I think he was even in the Mole. He was also involved in a little bit of a love triangle with Conzors and Nicky (I'm sure you'll all be delighted to hear I remember it, and am reminding you of it now - don't worry, we were all stupid in 2007 :tongue:) I believe he changed name to Snig, too, and then disappeared off the face of the forum, probably embroiled in some camming scandal (this is a wild accusation, but everyone was doing it at the time). #83 - Sam

One word comes to mind when I try and remember TiBB's first Sam. Cute. Which is why I'm going to use more than one word in this little bio. The creator of the TiBB Apprentice, Sam took part in so many of the 2006-2009 games: Next Top Model, TiBB Big Brother, I think he was even in the Mole. He was also involved in a little bit of a love triangle with Conzors and Nicky (I'm sure you'll all be delighted to hear I remember it, and am reminding you of it now - don't worry, we were all stupid in 2007 :tongue:) I believe he changed name to Snig, too, and then disappeared off the face of the forum, probably embroiled in some camming scandal (this is a wild accusation, but everyone was doing it at the time). But yes. That face. Oooooft. (I of course mean the one he's printed and cut out of me on the right).

Amongst the usual stuff I found she had been searching for "naked butts", "dinkles", "boobs", and "snogging". I can also assume, given the amount of searches she has done, thar she fancies Zayn from One Direction! :bored:
Aaaaah happyland. Such a promising and hopeful username. But what Lee signed herself up for back in 2009 was one of TiBB's darkest and most confrontational periods :( Unfortunately on one side of the great setanta row, Lee found herself quite a few enemies early on, and for a while it looked like she was doomed. Skip forward 3 years, and we couldn't love her any more! Lee makes this list for making the mother of all turnarounds, but not just that: for her ridiculous typos (:trolleys:), her participation in just about every forum game, putting the happy in MTV's Jusy and the Happy Turtles, and being an all-around awesome lady. Shame about her Scrabble skills, really.

As far as TiBBers go, there was no one quite so sexed and sexy as Enid. TiBB's resident occasional S&M fan, Enid oozed individuality and demonstrated an excellent taste in music, TV and film. She was also devastatingly funny and effective in her put-downs, but rarely needed them as she was capable of tearing arguments apart inoffensively. She also introduced Photon to the forum (or abducted him from it, not sure in hindsight), and he was pretty cool. Just bow. Enid is flawless. :worship:

Maybe a few years down the line I'd have put Ammi even higher than this but the dozy old cow pretty much slept her way into it this time around. Joining as 'rhino' back in 2009, Ammi was a slow burner on the forum and rather kept away from the off-topic sections for a while, but after time got more and more involved. Today, she stands as TiBB's probable most popular member, and with reason. Considerate, careful, witty, attentive and creative, she's contributed a heck of a lot of threads to TiBB in every section, and wowed everyone with her songwriting abilities in TiBB Eurovision this year. On a personal level, no other member compares to a PM from her, and she's an incredibly valuable and thoughtful friend.
