I've seen a thread from Patrick about how he struggles with maths, like me, and it got me thinking... in the work world, is there a difference in terms of importance between Maths and English?

I'm awful at Maths, but English is my top subject.

I've attached a poll, just to get your opinions of this.

Maths in almost every way. I hated Maths too, but no where has any Uni or workplace placed English above Maths. Then again, I did go down the Business route...

I think English is more useful in a greater number of fields, but maths is probably the most useful for qualifications and going into any occupation field that's on the business and economic side of things.

English, some of the stuff you have to learn to get a 'pass' in Maths you'll probably never use in your life if you don't go onto do further maths. You'll always need English

(i hate maths)

The only maths I have ever used in real life is basics like adding up, multiplying and such

Algebra, angles and all that **** I dont even know how to do anymore after getting my GCSEs.

I think english, it allows us to be more creative. Maths seems to be full of rules.
