CHANNEL 4 PROGRAMMES

Daily coverage on Channel 4 means viewers can keep up with events in the Big Brother house throughout the ten-day run. In brief:

* Viewers can watch live as the six celebrities enter the house
* There is an hour-long show from the house each day, including all the live evictions, nominations and tasks
* C4 hosts Big Brother’s Little Brother live at teatime each weekday
* All live shows to be hosted by Davina McCall.

Live Entry Show

This year a special live broadcast means that Channel 4 viewers can watch the six celebrities enter the Big Brother house and catch their very first moments together.

Weekdays

The nightly hour-long shows will feature a daily catch up on the latest action from the house during the past 24 hours but will also include all the live events such as live tasks, as well as the all-important evictions. In addition, this year the celebrities will be asked to announce their nominations live on air from the diary room. The celebrity housemates will have to make their first live nominations on Day 3 in the house. The first eviction will take place on the celebrities’ fifth day in the house, so viewers will be able to enjoy four full days of watching all of the celebrity housemates. From then on, there will be live evictions until the final. Davina McCall will host all the live weekday shows and of course will be the first to interview each newly-evicted celebrity.

The running order for the daily Channel 4 shows will be as follows:

Day 1 Live Entry Show

Day 2 House action from the past 24 hours (30 mins) and live task (30 mins)

Day 3 House action (30 mins) and live nominations (30 mins)

Day 4 House action (60 mins)

Day 5 House action and live eviction.

Day 6 House action (30 mins) and live task

Day 8 House action (30 mins) and live task (30 mins)

Day 9 House action (30 mins) and live eviction (30 mins)

Day 10 Final

Big Brother’s Little Brother

The fanzine show, Big Brother’s Little Brother, presented by Dermot O’Leary, will kick off events each weekday with a live early evening show, broadcast on both Channel 4 and E4. Regular Big Brother psychologists Geoffrey Beattie, Peter Collett and Sandra Scott will all be on hand to provide their views on how the famous faces are getting along, plus they’ll be a wealth of other experts, family and friends all airing their views.

Live streaming

Channel 4 viewers will have a chance to watch live streaming direct from the house late night on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the series.


E4 PROGRAMMES

Fans can find more coverage of Big Brother on Channel 4’s entertainment channel, E4.
In brief:

* E4 presents live coverage from the Big Brother house for up to 20 hours a day and for digital viewers, around the clock, via E4’s interactive service
* The fanzine show Big Brother’s Little Brother returns five days a week
* A special show re-uniting all the celebrity housemates on the weekend after the Final.

Live Streaming

Once again, viewers will be able to keep up with the live action from the Big Brother house around the clock. The action will be streamed unedited, only interrupted by E4’s core peak time schedule (which includes Friends, the latest series of The Sopranos, Sex and the City and Six Feet Under) providing the very latest from the house for up to 20 hours a day. Viewers with digital TV can view action from the house around the clock via E4’s interactive service.

Big Brother’s Little Brother

Dermot O’Leary makes a welcome return to hosting Big Brother’s Little Brother. E4 has a specially extended one-hour version of the hit show each weeknight, which includes celebrity guests and the up-to-the-minute reports from the house. The live shows will run five days a week. The first 30 minutes will be simulcast with Channel 4 but E4 viewers get an exclusive, extended version.
Phone-ins, mind-boggling statistics and interviews with the celebrity evictees, in which viewers get to ask the questions, make this a must for all dedicated Big Brother fans.


THE WEBSITE

Europe’s most popular website, www.channel4.com/bigbrother, is back again this year with all the latest news, gossip and information from Celebrity Big Brother. In brief:

* Streaming direct from the house available via subscription*.
* Up-to-the minute news bulletins
* In the Celebrity Big Brother forums, fans can exchange opinions
* A downloadable news ticker with breaking news as it happens
* Celebrity housemates information
* Tour the house

*Streaming for the website is being provided by RealOne. Viewers who subscribe can watch a single complied video stream, direct from the house for a one-off subscription charge of £4.95p. Viewers who have a RealOne monthly subscription will also be able to receive the Celebrity Big Brother web streaming, as well as a number of other channels.

A team of over 30 staff monitors all activity in the house, seven days a week, supplying up-to-the-minute news bulletins and stories on all the main events of the day, plus views and opinions from a range of experts and writers.

The website hosts video streams direct from the Celebrity Big Brother house, so fans can follow events around the clock. Users can also take a 360-degree photographic tour of the house, or check out the video news archives to catch up with what’s been happening.

The Celebrity Big Brother forums allow fans to exchange views and opinions or to chat live. The site carries vital up-to-date information, like who’s up for nomination and what the odds are of them being evicted! There are also background profiles, and as events in the house unfold, there is analysis from the show’s team of psychologists and other experts, as well as views and comment from our Big Brother experts.

INTERACTIVE TV

Viewers watching Celebrity Big Brother on E4 or C4 via digital satellite or digital cable TV can access a whole range of additional viewing options 24 hours a day by simply pressing the red button on their digital remote control. In brief:

* Viewers can vote to evict a housemate via their digital remote control
* Four different video options are available including live streaming, highlights from the previous 24 hours and classic moments to date.
* All the latest news and commentary from the house is featured on a ‘ticker’ at the foot of the screen.
* Viewers can vote in special opinion polls and play games.

The Celebrity Big Brother interactive TV service on Sky Digital* allows viewers to make a selection from four different video views of the house or to view all four at once.

In addition there’s a text “ticker” running along the bottom of the Celebrity Big Brother interactive TV screen carrying news as it happens, as well as commentary on the week’s events.

Viewers can also keep up to date with information about the key events due to take place in the house that day plus full programme listings.

*A different service is available for Telewest viewers. Fans can vote to evict as well as watch two video streams live from the house.

Eviction votes and non - eviction votes cost 25p on all platforms. 15p of each vote via interative TV and telephone lines goes to charity

MOBILE PHONE SERVICES

Text Voting
Once again, viewers can vote to evict by sending a text message from their mobile phone. Text the word vote, followed by the celebrity name to the number - 83188. Messages cost 25p per vote plus the cost of sending a text message. A percentage of the 25p will be donated to charity. At the time of writing this amount is still being decided, as it is dependant on the amount Channel 4 receives from the phone operators.

Text the Studio
Additionally, viewers can again interact with Big Brother’s Little Brother by texting the studio. Put the word studio at the beginning of the message and send it to the shortcode 83188. Messages cost 25p plus the cost of sending a text message. A percentage of the 25p vote will also be donated to charity.
