We had a heck of a night on Monday with this sell out concert

its her first of the tour.....estimated 70,000 at the stadium
ticket prices started from a mere £60 each for standing on the pitch
Not sure how much front row seats were probably double or treble that

Overall tickets alone must have brought in over £7 million alone

the people we took home were all women.....dressed in foil outfits dished out by the police at the station to keep them warm in the rain, as the trains (as always) failed to estimate theyd need extra carriages to get 70,000 people home...(maybe the cops should have been out fighting crime but that's another issue)

so the various reviews were mixed from the punters....some said rhianna was on 2 hours late , others said she mimed the whole thing, one said david guetta was great, some said they loved rhianna and enjoyed it.....loads complained of aggressive behaviour of fans in the stadium and even more so where girls were fighting on the trains....one girl left the stadium early due to fighting

just to underline how much things have changed in music and music marketing......a few months ago we had a few calls to collect some music fans from a "small indoor gig" in Cardiff...when collecting them the driver asked, how was the gig, one replied, great, just a quiet gig, small crowd, but great music.........oh asked our driver....who was playing?

bob Dylan and mark knopfler (together)

70,000 pay a fortune to see rhianna.....one man and his dog turn out for the greatest musical poet ever and one of the greatest ever guitarist/song writers ever?

is this simply moving with the times? do these fans really love this music and will they listen to rhianna for decades, like others listened to Dylan and dire straits? Or is that not the pojnt? have I missed rhiannas genius? is it just the place to be seen? or are these 70,000 semi brainwashed and easily manipulated by mass marketing across the media?

The entire city seemed to have just stopped for her.

When I got to Cardiff I was so packed and with so many Valley people crawling the streets it was scary and horrible

it shocked me to be honest Ive covered almost every event at the stadium for 15 plus years and barring the odd grand slam match I cant recall it being as crazy as that
