It's only taken me a year but I finally did it!!!

I drove to Leeds and got some Krispy Kreme and some McDonald's!!!

Was rather fun. I may or may not have stopped before I went onto the motor way though.

be very careful and stay in the slow lane, one person dies everyday on the motorways in the uk.

Congratulations, Ninaster.

Yes as the Sherif said, be careful.

If you have to change lane, make sure you check both mirrors, front and side, (I norlmally have a look at my shoulder quickly if I am not on the motorway), if a car behind (next lane) is so near you, you will not see the car in your front mirror.

Good luck,

Marc

Well done ..... :thumbs2:

It's not easy getting used to traffic all around you, sometimes in 4 or 5 lanes, with slower (or faster) vehicles either side ..... :pipe:

thank guys :)

i didn't even do a shoulder check which I suppose is pretty bad.

but it's hard and i don't know where I'm supposed to be looking D:

I have thought of it too, but I'm getting a lot better. I think it just takes confidence.

That's the problem with motorway driving. If you keep up with the flow of the traffic you end up not realising how quick you're going. The M6 Toll road is the worst as there's hardly any traffic and the road is so smooth

If you are on the motorway, and driving fast, I would not do shoulder check before changing lane, you could glance the side mirror for seconds (of course front mirror too) to make sure the lane you are moving to is safe (enough space) to move.

Normally of course you are concentrating the road you are heading.

Oh Ninaster, 90 is far too much!!

Problem is if you have to slow down quickly for some reason, with that speed, your car won't respond streigt away, so your car could skid to ohter side cross the varier, involve other vihycles and end up in fatal accident!
You do not want to have scar to your beautiful face do you, Ninaster?
