Yep, agree with arista it's a dominance thing, maybe you could buy a book on dog behaviour? It really helped me understand my pooch as had never owned a dog.

I think you're right with that, its not much of a problem with Boris (my dog) as he usually stops if you shout at him, it does get annoying though, lol.
