Oh, just seen this. Yes, I loved it there, was so relaxing and all the hikes were superb. The weather was great for them, sunny, little bit of a breeze and on the lst day a storm blew over from the sea in about 15 minutes and went again.

Oh no, North island is fantastic! Bay Of islands, Cape Reinga (sand boarding), Hot Water beach/Corammandel, Waitomo and the caves/black water rafting, Rotorua for the Maori village, luging and geysers, Taupo for a great (and cheap) skydive, the Tongariro Crossing (where they filmed a lot of LOTR), Waiheke Island, River Valley (white water rafting).

Wellington is ok, not a great amount to do there though apart from a few city bits. The ferry journey over from Welly to South Island though is stunning.

North Island has a lot of adventure stuff.

..yeah I've heard that as well Jonnii and Iceland is also meant to be really expensive but I'm figuring though that if I ever get to buy that house in Norway, I'll probably be a millionaire anyway so might even have enough money to buy the locals a round of drinks...

..ahh it looked a bit like the Maldives..yeah I think though that it's a bit less of a romantic getaway than it used to be and there are a bit more of a mixture of visitors..I have a friend who goes every December mainly to scuba dive and she's a single lady..*bursts into Beyoncé*...
