King Gizzard
24-06-2013, 05:59 PM
Yeah I think they were doing some horse task at the time, they were doing a task each day and Noirin was umming and ahhing about telling them or something

I remember it t'was during Glasto too, my brother was there and everything stopped basically in tribute to him

My mum woke me up in the morning to tell me, I thought a family member had died the way she broke the news to me :joker:

Got to school and everyone was really down and upset the whole day, it was so weird

only thing I can't abide by him, the intro to 'Bad'. Scares the **** out of me every time it comes on shuffle. Everything else was faultless (let's ignore Invincible and Dangerous).

It was weird though because I woke up like at 3 in the morning for no reason just as the news was announced, I was like nooo! It was really weird how I woke up as it was announced, made me really sad

Noirin was a terribly frustrating housemate, didn't get the hype, ruined both Marcus and Siavash, without actually doing much that was interesting

That video reminds me how much I hated BB10, such a cringey set of housemates

I got into an argument with some friends a couple of years ago about Michael Jackson's music; I said he didn't belong to our generation (I was born in 1991), my friends laughed and said of course he did, I said he didn't because his career height was long before we were born and that while he did have hits after we were born, we certainly weren't old enough to know much beyond how to tie our shoelaces, never mind who was famous and who wasn't, and it turned into such a heated row ...

Never really cared for his music much beyond casually acknowledging it was good, it just wasn't for me, I know for a lot of people it did but his death didn't really mean anything to me... I know that he was a hugely important figure in the music industry but he never felt like 'my' popstar to get behind, you know? So I found it hard to care among all the gushing tributes because I didn't grow up listening to his music, I didn't grow up wanting to be like Michael Jackson, I had different entertainers to look up to and while I'm sure there are people much younger than myself who look up to him, I think most people my age and younger weren't bothered by his death. To us, he was the punchline for jokes about paedophiles, plastic surgery and neurotic parenting. You just know that if he were still alive today, his name would be dragged through the dirt even more than it had already been with this historical sexual offences scandal in the UK.

Typical wanker esque title by a form of media. 'Wacko'.

Anywho, such a shame. For me, the greatest artist of all time. The one, and only, King of Pop. R.I.P.

I wonder if the blood sucking scum that is the Jackson family will even realise. Probably second on the agenda behind getting cash out of AEG. Absolutely disgraceful. The man had no peace alive and now dead still can't be left in peace.

I remember staying up until 2am to see what would happen and, unfortunately, it began to come through that he passed. :(

Still remember my scumbag teacher taking the piss the following day at school. Stupid 'effin bitch and the tosser classmates I had to breath the same air with.
