Jessie brought up a surprisingly good point about how the MVP thing could actually just make people want to throw Comps more (and thus become "floaters" since we're using the Rachel Reilly definitely) because you could nominate two people and not have either of them go home. It'll just encourage more floaters and Comp throwing probably. And on another note, how is the MVP thing supposed to eliminate floaters anyway?

The launch was fine, except for the usual silly bit where they pretend they find the key and act excited. The worrying thing is some of the American audience will actually believe that is when they actually found out they were on the show.

The MVP thing could be interesting, I just hope the same person doesn't get it week after week.

The house has largely kept the same over the years, the DR is never anything out of the ordinary either. The house area is bigger though so the task area in the garden can be bigger, though recently they have been doing a lot of cheap memory test competitions which doesn't take advantage of that.

Yeah, CBS is kinda cheap sometimes. The producers state the reason why they haven't switched yet is because HD takes up alot of data on their database but personally I think it's because CBS are cheapskates.

The Set is actually a brand new set. The audience used to sit in front of the house and directly on camera. This last ep was the first ep where a live crowd was there at the launch.

I don't think they were there the whole time for the endurance competition.

Our evictions are a bit more low key. Basically they show highlights inbetween live segments with Julie. They have a segment where they talk to HGs loved ones from home. (Usually involving one of the nominees or HoH). About 30 minutes in they start the eviction process. All nominees make a last plea with the houseguests and then everyone that can vote go into the DR and cast their vote to evict live. Sometimes in the middle they go to a break and then after that they finish the voting.

Then Julie talks to the house saying "Hello Houseguests, It's time to reveal the results, When I announce the results the evicted houseguest will have 1 minute to say their goodbyes, grab their belongings (Their bags are placed by the front door and nominees are instructed to pack their bags the night before) and walk out the front door. By A Vote of 5-2 Rachel You have been evicted from the big brother house."

Then the house gets all awkward and the evictee leaves. The crowd can boo the evictee but it has never happened on BBUSA. In fact if you do boo, you'll probably get dirty looks.

The last part is the HoH comp. Which is usually Trivia based because I think they want to give people what to expect for the next ep. Sometimes it's endurance and it's played out on the feeds.

After that Julie gives the schedule out for the week. (Watch Big Brother at this time to see who'll the HOH nom, Etc.) sometimes she lets us know if there's a twist like a Pandora's Box (sometimes they don't) or if the next eviction will be a double (Which are fun to watch. They fit a whole week of BB into 30 mins.)

Basically Pandora's Box offers the Hoh something. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. Usually if the HoH receives something good then something evil will be released upon the house. Or sometimes the HoH gets punished and the house gets something good.

I'm glad McRae didn't put Rachel's sister up. She actually seems less obnoxious than her sister (i WAS NOT a fan of Rachel at all!!!!!) and she's way hotter than Rachel too.

There's just so many typically horrendous American types in there this year (those American's who give America a bad name and make you think "so that's why the World hates America so much!").
The ultra bitchy, vain, self-obsessed, mean girl/boy types. The one's who didn't give McRae the time of day until he won HOH but suddenly wanted to be in an alliance with him once they realized he was a serious competitor. Disgusting people!!!
There seems to be so many of them this year that it's difficult at the moment to see who the good guys are amongst them all.
I'm liking McRae obviously and the gay guy (Andy ?) seems nice too and Ellissa seems OK too but as i haven't been watching livefeed or the After Dark episodes i've actually seen very little of them all to judge from so far.
Some of the YouTube snippets i've seen with all the racist and homophobic stuff is pretty sad and disgusting and it only reinforced some of the negative impressions i had of certain houseguests. I'll be shocked if some of them don't receive warnings or reprimands for some of the stuff that's been said!

Pretty good episode last night. Elissa seriously needs to win, she's my absolute favourite.

I also loved Candice and her feistiness towards McCrae. Hopefully it comes out more during future episodes. I'm quite annoyed they didn't show the drama about Aaryn's hat because I haven't seen that at all.

Last night's eviction was brilliant :love:. David leaving was a fantastic result because his game play was awful and it seemed like he didn't even know what he was doing most of the time.

The crowd cheering for Amanda & Nick and booing Aaryn :love:. And then getting shushed afterwards :laugh:.

There was a real old-school vibe about the eviction. It felt like I was watching BB5 for some reason. I love the new layout.

Aryan herself isn't entertaining but I'd be lying if I said I'm not thoroughly amused by her reign of terror, if only because the editing team is going all out to throw her under the bus and such an unexpected, but hilarious twist of events. That was easily one of the best episodes of all time and I was in stitches the whole time, especially with Howard and Candice being the last two keys pulled.
