12 inch steak sub on italian herb and cheese bread, cheese and toasted with jalapenos, peppers, sweetcorn, olives and a **** load of BBQ sauce. Then I eat it infront of people who don't have subways to gloat as they prepare themselves to cry because they realise, right here, right now, I am far superior to them.

True but you'd have to be very careful.

"The Subway sandwiches contained an average of 784 calories, versus 572 at McDonald’s. The sodium content at both restaurants was three times higher than the IOM recommended daily dose: 2,149 mg at Subway versus 1,829 mg at McDonald’s."

I find Subway a bit of a rip off tbh, only go for the cheapest filling of spicy Italian in just a 6 inch but even that costs nearly £3 or something and is gone in a couple of minutes. Doesn't help that I never want any salad or sauce in it so I'm not getting great value, those things should be optional extras at a cost :nono:

What's wrong with just a sandwich? Or is that too unamerican for most people?

Apparently the meatball marinara has as much salt in it as 13 packets of Walkers crisps.

Don't like it anyway, the bread is soggier than a soggy bottom

I now have (and love) Turkey breast and turkey ham 6 inch on Italian herbs and cheese bread cheese & toasted with lettuce/tomato/olives/jalapenos/sweetcorn/pickles and any low cal sauce + a diet coke

I seriously recommend that, it's all only around 260 calories and it's really tasty too  so much healthier and less fatty compared to your average meal at mcdonalds which totals to about 700 calories all the time (you would never have a burger on its own whereas in subway a sub on itself is filling enough). Plus this particular combination allows you to have a footlong and not feel bad about it considering it's only 500 calories, about the same as a 6 inch meatball marinara

Don't go very often but I always get hearty Italian bread and usually steak and cheese with lots of veg and bbq sauce.
