View Full Version : Can you ever be addicted to a TV show?

It's an interesting topic, can you ever be truly addicted to a TV show in the same way you can be to drugs/fags ect? As in you have to watch every episode otherwise you get withdrawal symptoms? You see a lot of people saying that they are addicted to a TV show but can you properly be?

I was addicted to the Wire. I watched each series a number of times and I've watched each episode at least four or five times; sometimes taking over 2 and a half hours to watch one hour long episode.

i was addicted to both Breaking Bad and Prison Break.. any free time i had the only thing i wanted to do was watch them both and when i finally finished them i had no idea what to do with myself because they took up all my time. But i dont know if that can be compared to drugs :laugh:

You can be addicted to anything if you enjoy it enough.

yes, you can be addicted to virtually anything, I went through a stage of being addicted to coca cola, if I didn't have it I got bad tempered, I managed to break the habit though, it was really hard, I drink it sometimes now, but prefer orange juice.

I was addicted to Lost when it was airing but I wouldn't compare it to drugs or anything like that

Funny you saying that Kate,I had a thing for 'hula hoops' at one time had to have at least a couple of bags a day!!! luckily I broke that one but now it seems to be nuts!!!!:joker:

Yes, I used to like watching "Blind Date". I could not wait. I was gutted when it ended.
