So we're in the midst of the Survivor off-season, and although Big Brother is starting to heat up, it still seems like a painful wait until Blood vs. Water. Inspired by the recent ranking threads on this site (thanks Ben ) and countless other Survivor rankings I've read at Sucks over the years, I've decided to do a ranking of my own. Criteria will be based mainly off of strategy, entertainment value, and memorable moments, but of course personal preference always plays a part in such decisions (I will avoid it as much as possible).
Anyways, I've started making a list of the top candidates and currently have a little over 150 potential candidates for the list. Please submit any suggestions as although I've been meticulous I could very well have left off someone important. I will keep the list open for suggestions until 7:00 P.M. tomorrow, so feel free to post here or PM me if there are any Survivors you'd like to see in the top 150 (please provide some form of justification). I'll use that to create an honorable mentions list and start the rankings from there. I don't expect this list to be a crazy hit here on a big brother site, but I'll enjoy it, and if even one of you guys likes it it will be worth the effort

#150 Julia Landauer: Survivor Caramoan (13th Place)
http://u.cubeupload.com/caramoangifs/1C7otT.gif
As I said in the OP, I have tried my best to keep personal bias out of this ranking. That being said, I couldn't resist putting my favorite Caramoan Fan on this list. Realistically, despite finishing 13th place and just missing the merge, Julia has no business being on this list. Having at best a minimal edit, Julia was one of three invisible young girls this season. The beauty in Julia, however, was her humor in regards to her portrayal on the show. Julia's twitter feed often made light of her scarcity of air time, and she would later hold a contest as to what her true Stealth-R-Us nickname should have been.

Although she may not have made ripples with her time on the Caramoan Islands. I enjoyed her personality enough to include her here (for once I disagree with Corinne).

#149 Laura Morett: Survivor Samoa (10th Place)
http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Content/091116/News/Todays_News_Our_Take/5_fri/091120survivor_lauramorett1.jpg
I have to admit that I was wary of putting Laura on this list because I'm not sure what to say about her. A member of the self-destructing Galu tribe, she likely wouldn't have made this list at all if it wasn't for her casting for Blood vs. Water That being said, Laura was one of the more memorable players on her season (though that doesn't say much). As a strong-willed bitch, Laura got taken out mainly because she was Russell's biggest threat on the Galu tribe. After being taken out in a nail-biting tie-breaking (thanks John Fincher), Laura's elimination paved the way for the Foa Foa's to make it to the end. Also notable for being irrationally hated by Shambo, Laura remains to be a giant question mark in my mind as one of those players that "could have been, but never really was." If she plays again I can see an interesting character emerging

#148 Ashley Underwood: Redemption Island (4th Place)
http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQU0PU_dwcXjZD36ADPBgDl07UlqO41M 4wk6anT2nU2lh5-67k_Mg
As I continue to take out players who arguably have no merit to be on this list, I come to the 4th place finisher from my least favorite season ever. As one of several of Rob's zombies, she was the only one I would ever say sort of woke up (not counting Andrea as she had to be voted out to smell the coffee). In a relentlessly boring season that was an obvious build-up to Rob's victory, Ashley was one of the only players that left a smidgeon of doubt as to the outcome of the season. Her late-game immunity wins foiled Rob's plans to take her out earlier, and at the time of the season I was foolish enough to dream that her and Natalie would band together to take Rob out at final four. She ending finishing up in a predictable fourth place finish...booted before FTC as the only player with any potential to beat Rob. So, Ashley, thanks for trying, but I hope never to see you again.

#147 Sarah Dawson: Survivor Philippines (13th place)
http://wowmartiean.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/sarah-dawson.jpg
Oh Dawson. Where do I begin?
An obvious Survivor super-fan, Dawson clearly walks to the beat of her own drum. A member of the Kalabaw tribe, Dawson was cushioned through the first few votes of the series while Matsing was peforming genocide. Forming a girl's alliance with Dana and Katie, Dawson looked to be in a good place when Denise was placed on Kalabaw and the girls had a numbers advantage 4-3. Unfortunately for her, Dana was medically evacuated (I want to say she quit but she was obviously in pain), which was the begininng of the end for the Kalabaw girls. When Kalabaw lost their first immunity challenge, Dawson was kicked out over Katie, partially because she recognized Jeff Kent and had been teasing him about it. Not one to leave quietly, Dawson provided us with Survivor gold when she kissed Jeff Probst upon getting her torch snuffed. I can only dream about what this girl might have given us if Dana had stayed in the picture.

#146 Shannon Elkins: Survivor Nicaragua (19th Place)
http://survivoroz.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/shannonelkins.jpg
Though the second boot in Nicaragua, Shannon is memorable for several reasons. One of which is his massive nipples.
Though he may not top this 150, he is certainly in my top 5 for most terrifying Survivors ever. I certainly wouldn't ever want to meet him in the streets. Originally aligned with Chase, he bullied his former ally when he understandably sided instead with Brenda. Determined to create a fiery tribal council, Shannon makes a spectacle of himself with "Hey I'm gonna get this out of the way right now, are you gay?" directed at fellow castaway Sash. The argument that ensues is laughable on both sides.
Outside of his season, Shannon is notable for his twitter fights and radical opinions, but I'm not even getting into that crap right now. I may not like him, but no one can say Shannon wasn't a big character.

#145 Edgardo Rivera: Fiji (9th Place)
http://0.tqn.com/d/realitytv/1/0/G/1/1/Edgardo_Rivera.jpg
Edgardo is the first of several Fiji cast members I have on this list. While Probst lists the season as one of his least favorite seasons, I wholeheartedly disagree. Fiji had some great moments, and Edgardo was central to one of them. Living in the lap of luxury for the first half of the pre-merge and forming an alliance with Mookie, Dreamz, and Alex on NuRavu, Edgardo easily made it to the merge without a problem. Coming into the merge, however, Earl's alliance had the numbers and targetted the horsemen. Not knowing if Dreamz provided accurate information about the idol's owner, Stacy came up with the idol of blindsiding Edgardo instead. The plan went of without a hitch: the idol was flushed, a horseman was eliminated, and the look on Mookie, Alex, and Edgardo's faces made for a priceless Tribal Council.

Also, is it just me, or is does Edgardo bear a striking resemblance to James Rhine?

#144 Edna Ma: South Pacific (7th Place)
http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/edna-survivor-south-pacific.jpg
Edna is one of those characters you can't help but love. Cute, tiny, and fragile, it was clear from the beginning of the season that Edna wasn't cut out for this game. Challenges weren't her strong suit, and we saw several examples of her inability to lie successfully, yet she was able to outlast stronger girls in the pre-merge due to her attachment to Coach. The Upolu 5 dragged Edna along as their obvious sixth, which was clear to everyone BUT Edna. Prior to her boot, Edna finally realized her predicament but was stuck on a sinking ship at that point. Edna was sent to Redemption Island, lost in a painstakingly close duel against Ozzy, and exited the game. Her most memorable accomplishment on the island? Making a hat out of tree-mail.
Outside of Survivor Edna is the creator of Bare Ease. You may not have won at Survivor, Edna, but you sure won at life!

#143 Angie Layton: Philippines (16th Place)
http://img2-3.timeinc.net/people/i/2012/news/121015/angie-layton-300.jpg
I can think of at least two reasons why Angie is so memorable. A victim of Matsing's carnage, Angie only made it to episode three of the Philippines. Yet she received a lot more attention than most early-boot blondes do. After the cuddling controversy with Malcolm, Angie had her golden moment of tribal council. When asked what one thing Angie would change about camp life, Angie replied that she wished they could have cookies. Forget a better shelter, water, or other essential survival items, bring this girl some fresh baked goods. Despite her horrendous answer, she survived that council only to be booted at the next one. But I'm sure she got all the cookies she wanted in loser's lodge...

#142 Greg "Tarzan" Smith: One World (6th Place)
http://www.tvgasm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/s-tarzan-is-confused.jpg
Now a verb in the dictionary of Kat Edorsson, with a name like Tarzan, you know immediately that this guy is going to be a disaster. Easily the oldest guy on the island, Tarzan was able to outlast his male counterparts through a misfits alliance and being one of the least threatening contestants ever. Throughout his stay on the island, Tarzan was kind enough to "Tarzan" us with his expansive vocabulary through fantastic phrases such as "the game is afoot." One of the boldest players to ever compete, Tarzan brought us excellent moves such as questioning Chelsea about her implants and washing his soiled clothes in the cooking pots. I truly admire the girls of One World for putting up with this man for 36 days

#141 Billy Garcia: Cook Islands (19th Place)
http://www.paulgrassi.net/web_images/billycookisland.jpg
And now we come to Survivor's regular heart throb: Billy Garcia. Not meshing well with his tribe mates on Aitutaki, Billy was on the chopping block early in the game. Surviving the first vote due to trival immunity, Billy's tribe (led by JP and Ozzy) decided it was best to throw the challenge to get rid of Billy (a decision I still have yet to understand). Upon their loss in the immunity, Billy knows his fate is sealed and informs everyone around that he is finished. Then Candice, out of the goodness of her heart, made one of the worst decisions in her life. She told Billy, "we love you." Later that night at tribal, Billy informs Jeff that being voted out isn't as bad because he had found true love on the island. Candice professed her love for him at the challenge and the two were madly in love. Or so he thought. Billy's revelation got him laughed out the game and I'm sure haunted Candice for many nights. Billy is now famous for attending way too Survivor events and still wearing around the shirt he had on the island.

#140 Brett Clouser: Samoa (4th Place)
http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/EXID11363/images/091221094503survivorbrett.jpg
Brett is on this list for one reason: Jon requested him to be here. And while he was hoping for a top ten finish, I couldn’t justify putting Brett any higher in my mind. Yet another member of the tragic Galu tribe, Brett received virtually no air time prior to the merge. Apparently as invisible on-island as he was on air, Brett survived most of the Galu carnage without being targeted. When he was finally in Foa Foa’s crosshairs he went on an individual immunity streak to outlast Monica, Shambo, and Jaison. Coming down to the final immunity challenge, it was clear that Mick, Natalie, or Russell had to win in order to stand a chance at winning the jury votes. The challenge ended up being a carnival balancing act, and in one of the tensest showdowns ever, Russell was able to balance his statue on a pole the longest. Brett was voted out at final four as the obvious jury threat and remains to this day as one of the most invisible final four players ever.

#139 Rebecca Borman: Cook Islands (11th Place)
http://images.buddytv.com/articles/survivor/images/rebecca.jpg
Those of you who remember Rebecca are probably thinking “lol wat” right now. Those of you who don’t, I do not blame you in the slightest. Like several of the people going out in the first fifty, Rebecca is on this list for a quirky reason. In my opinion Rebecca received one of, if not the, weirdest edit of all time. She is an important presence in episode one, which highlights her friendship with Sundra and paints her as a character of interest. After surviving her first tribal council, Rebecca begins to fade from focus before disappearing altogether. After struggling in a challenge, Rebecca was voted out of her tribe with the first half of the dreadful bottle twist. She can be distinguished for the extreme lack of airtime in her boot, where she did not receive a single confessional and is also the only contestant not to receive her final words.

#138 Sarita White: Redemption Island (13th Place)
http://static.tvfanatic.com/images/gallery/sarita-white-listens-in.jpg
Yet another victim on my slaughter of the Redemption Island contestants, Sarita has clawed her way up into the 138th slot. A member of the Zapatera tribe and one of my personal favorites from the season, Sarita earned my respect by being one of the few first-time players not to be brainwashed by a returnee. Russell Hantz (who is not a favorite of mine) quickly picked up Stephanie and Krista as allies and seemed to be up to his old games. Sarita, however, was the force leading the anti-Russell sentiment. Though a strategically disastrous move for the Zapatera tribe, Sarita’s guidance led to Russell’s first elimination from the game. Unfortunately Zapatera continued to lose challenges and Sarita was taken out by her alliance one vote before the merge for challenge weakness. Immediately eliminated by Matt at Redemption Island, Sarita will never be in the Survivor Hall of Fame but will always remain in my heart as the woman who finally got Russell out.

#137 Sierra Reed:Tocantins (7th Place)
http://images.buddytv.com/articles/sierraredep10b.jpg
Recruited from a taco stand, Sierra was the ultimate underdog of the Tocantins. Almost unanimously voted as the weakest member of the Timbira tribe at the beginning of the game, Sierra was dangerously alienated at the start of the game. Catching a couple fortunate breaks at the beginning of the game, Sierra survived the first few tribal councils thanks to Candace’s antagonism towards Coach and Jerry’s sickness. Upon making the merge Sierra is ostracized once again for voting for Coach at the time of Brendan’s blindside. This incident led to relentless bullying from Tyson Apostle and created an irreconcilable difference between her and the rest of the original Timbira tribe. This fragment caused Sierra’s boot, but also created a wonderful confrontation between Sierra and Coach. Not the greatest Survivor character, but I enjoyed Sierra as a character, especially for exposing the dragon slayer.

#136 Russell Swan: Samoa (14th Place) Philippines (15th Place)
http://img.poptower.com/pic-16054/russell-swan-survivor-philippines.jpg?d=600
Russell Swan was quickly drawn into the spotlight on Survivor Samoa by being elected the leader of the Galu tribe. As a gallant workhorse, Russell was the glue that kept his tribe together for the pre-merge section of the game. Pushing himself too hard, Russell was medically evacuated after he collapsed at an immunity challenge. Swan received a second chance at the million when he was selected to return for Survivor Philippines. Placed on the exact opposite of his tribe from Samoa, Russell was yet another victim of Matsing’s losing streak. The fourth member voted from his tribe, Russell is most memorable for being a whiny baby and throwing a giant tantrum about the tribe’s losing streak that he was partially responsible for creating.

#135 Marcus Lehman: Gabon (10th Place)
http://celebrationtowncenter.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Marcus-Lehman-2-540x810.jpg
After watching the first episode of Survivor Gabon, my initial reaction was, "This guy's gonna win it all." Marcus has everything it takes to be successful in Survivor, he's smart, he's fit, he's incredibly likeable and mind bogglingly attractive. He formed a strong Onion alliance with Corinne Goddess, Randy, and his secret boy-toy Charlie. Marcus's tribes dominated in challenges, and the few votes he was forced to make always went his way. Gabon seemed to be leading to a clear Marcus (or fellow Onion member) victory when tribe swap # 2 occured, Marcus was left defenseless, and Susie knocked out the golden boy of Gabon. Marcus was playing a nearly flawless game up until the bogus swap and was robbed of a higher finish (along with Queen Corinne). And who could forget Charlie's infatuation for him and their questionable relationship once voted out. Also his dong was broadcast on national television in a major wardrobe malfunction during one of the challenges (just felt the need to throw that tidbit out there).

#134 Jenna Lewis: Borneo (8th Place), All-Stars (3rd Place)
http://images.wikia.com/survivor/images/e/ee/Jenna_Lewis_chaboga.jpg
A word of advice for you all: never google image search Jenna Lewis...I promise you'll regret it. As you likely have noticed, I have ranked a fairly large amount of people from the classic, original seasons. The reason for this is that I feel that the earlier seasons have iconic characters that need to be recognized. Jenna Lewis is not one of those people. Her appearance on this list is purely comedic. After being pegged the annoying girl in S1 and getting knocked out by Sean's ridiculous alphabet strategy, Jenna Lewis was a bit of a surprise to return for All-Stars. She came back with an improved strategic handling and finished well despite an arguably poor decision to turn on ally Rupert at final 4. It was nice to see her playing the game, though it turned her into a super-bitch who attacked Shii-Ann due to her underdog status. Jenna's defining moment took place after All-Stars when she released a sex tape of her and her husband doing...well, you know. Attention hog would be an appropriate title in my opinion.

#133 Michelle Yi: Fiji (10th Place)
http://img2-1.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/090211/Sexy-Hot-Survivors/Michelle-Yi_l.jpg
Much like Thailand, I feel like Survivor Fiji gets a relatively bad rap because of its lack of truly likeable characters. Michelle was one of those few likeable characters that helped save the season in my mind. The young, vivacious girl on Ravu, Michelle was much of the spirit that kept Ravu afloat through its terrible losing streak. She was in good graces with everyone and in the majority alliance coming into the merge and was therefore one of only a few players that had a realistic chance of winning. Unfortunately, production threw in one of the worst twists in Survivor history and only sent half of the merged tribe to tribal council. Separated from key allies Earl, Yau, and Cassandra, Michelle was picked off due to Dreamz's mistake. Denied her rightful higher placing finish, the Fiji merge twist is one of the worst two tribal twists ever in my opinion.

Jane Bright, aka queen of bitter, does not deserve the love she receives in my opinion. Having lived in North Carolina for the majority of my life, I don't feel she did our state proud by pouring out the fire upon discovering the plan to vote her out. And although I can't stand a survivor with sour grapes, I have to give credit where credit is due. Jane was a BEAST in competitions...beating out fit guys like Chase and Fabio in immunity challenges. She did a good job of gelling with the younger people after the tribe swap and placing the target on Marty and Jill rather than herself. Although she may not be a personal favorite of mine, Jane had some impressive moments in Nicaragua.

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130423225540/survivor/images/9/98/Survivor-one-world-alicia-rosa_240.jpg
Another vile character, One World featured the one-of-a-kind Alicia Rosa. Set up from their fight at the very first tribal council, Alicia developed an antagonistic relationship with fellow castaway Christina that lasted the majority of the season. At one point openly bullying Christina to her face, Alicia was horrid but was always outshadowed by her evil step-sister Colton. This bigger villain sticking around allowed for Alicia's character to be slightly humorous, especially later on in the season when she actually had control over Christina's vote. The only person that ever rivalled Kim in power was Alicia at F6 when she could have controlled Christina and Tarzan's votes and eliminated Chelsea to the reluctance of Kim. Alicia, however, was too inept to realize the more intelligent path, booted her own pawn Tarzan, and paid with it with her life at the next tribal.

#130 Debb Eaton: Australia (16th Place)
http://i2.listal.com/image/4682488/320full.jpg
And now we come to the queen of first boots, Debb Eaton. Compared to the sweet Sonja from season one, Debb made an interesting contrast to the first castaway kicked off the island. Wondering why she was booted? Maybe it's because of her suggestion to her tribe that they have enough rawks around to build a decent shelter just using RAWKS. And as much as I hate to bring up matters from her personal life, she married her step-son, whom she help raise. Like...what?

#129 Roger Sexton: Amazon (10th Place)
http://images.wikia.com/survivor/images/b/b6/Roger_Sexton.jpg
Roger Sexton is the classic Survivor sexist/homophobe. He first ruffled my feathers when he got into an argument with tribemate Alex Ball under the belief that gays should not be allowed to get married. His biases extended to more than just homosexuals though, Roger was also prejudiced against women, which was easily picked up by Heidi, Jenna, and Deena upon the merge. The strategic trio hated him SO much that they booted him before physical threat Dave just to keep him off of the jury (and understandably so, as he likely would never have voted for a woman). The reason Roger is here is because he provided us with a wonderful boot episode. The editors made absolutely NO effort to hide the fact that Roger was going home...it was evident from the first ten minutes. Instead they spent the whole episode trashing him, and it was beautiful. Hope you enjoyed a taste of your own medicine, Roger.

If you're thinking that Mary did nothing of interest to make it this far up the list, then you're absolutely right! She got married to former Survivor Ryno, but that doesn't earn you a spot here. No, Mary earned this spot for the internet joke floating around that she doesn't exist. http://static.tvgcdn.net/MediaBin/Galleries/Shows/S_Z/Sq_Sz/Survivor_Guatemala/crops/survivor-gua-cindy-hall10.jpg
One of my personal favorites from Guatemala, I actually stopped watching the season after Cindy was voted off because I was so upset. I didn't finish the season until several months later when I decided to re-watch the season and actually get to the FTC. Cindy's most memorable moment by far came from the F5 reward challenge, which Cindy won. The notorious car challenge, nobody that had won the car had ever continued on to win the game due to the "curse of the car." Cindy was offered a chance to break this curse by giving a car to the other four contestants rather than herself. She chose to keep the car. This incensed Rafe and Danni who wanted cars and drove (see what I did there?) them to vote her off at 5 (which very well might have happened regardlessly). Cindy, however, got in the last word when she reminded the remaining four that she'll "think of them when [she] sees the stars through the sunroof of [her] new car."

#126 Bruce Kanegai: Exile Island (7th Place)
http://www.asiaarts.ucla.edu/media/images/bruce.jpg
I have an enormous respect for Bruce. He got placed on the crazy Casaya tribe and was the oldest member there. And though he had some struggles (drinking the tribe's bottle of wine with Bobbie), he managed to keep his cool for the most part and earn the respect of his tribemates, particularly Danielle. Bruce made the merge as one of the Casaya 6 and was looking to be in a good spot when his bowels became blocked. He was in clearly excrutiating pain and had to be pulled from the game. In one particularly serious scene, Bruce is writhing in pure agony when his tribemate Courtney approaches him and asks him if a song would help, to which he replies "no." Not to be discouraged, Courtney Goddess serenades Bruce anyways until commanded to "please stop." Leave it to Courtney to make a medical evacuation humorous...but wait this is about Bruce. Would have loved to see what would have happened if Bruce remained in the game.

#125 RC Saint-Amour: Philippines(11th Place)
http://www.survivormetrics.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/rc-saint-amour.jpg
A few rankings back I awarded Jane Bright the title "Queen of Bitter." Well, I'm revoking that title, because it's clear RC is more worthy of it. A member of the mighty Tandang tribe, the only reason RC made it to the merge was because she never had to go to tribal. RC started off on good terms with her tribe but later got involved in a feud with Abi that ostracized her from the others. Alienated because of a fight over the idol, RC was easy pickings for the newly merged tribe as her tribemates Pete and Abi were chomping at the bit to get her out. And RC won't forget it. Ever. She moaned about it at Ponderosa, she brought it up at the Reunion Show, RC will never let go of the fact that Tandang turned its back on her. And just to make our lives even more miserable, RC won Rob's Miss Survivor pageant and will reign over us for a whole year! :yuk: Sorry for the negative write-up, but I only included RC on this list because I felt obligated to.

#124 Paschal English: Marquesas (4th Place)
http://www.kdoprezije.cz/soutezici/4/paschal.jpg
Who could forget this adorable old man from Marquesas? The oldest man of the season, Paschal formed a strong friendship with young Neleh. Together this pair would team up with Kathy, Sean, and Vecepia to perform the first shift in power (against the Rotu 4) in Survivor history. I appreciate all five of these members as it stopped the season from being a straight pagonging. Paschal also holds the distinction of being the only Survivor to ever be eliminated by a rock (Debb would be jealous). At Final 4 there was a deadlocked tie that had to be broken by drawing rocks from a bag. Whoever pulled the purple rock, which was Paschal in this case, would be eliminated. The fear of this kind of tiebreaker occuring has scared several players into flipping since (Cirie in Micronesia, John in Samoa, Cochran in South Pacific)

"I always notice a bulge."
It pains me immensely to take Laura out of this ranking before the top 100. In my opinion Laura was the fan with the most strategic potential. She knew what she was doing out there, and managed to survive being targetted despite her weakness in challenges thanks to her Shamar shield. Of course that strategy was blown to pieces when Shamar got "medically evacuated," which is one of those things you simply can't plan for. Once as Shamar was gone, Eddie and Reynold switched their priorities to challenge strength, Matt and Michael flipped on their alliance, and Sherri and Julia had no choice but to follow suit. For being kicked out as early as she was, Laura received an amazing amount of airtime. I know it's a long-shot, but I would LOVE to see what this girl could do if she was to play again and make the merge.

#122 Christa Hastie: Pearl Islands (6th Place)
http://img2-2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/031001/11527__christa_hastie_l.jpg
Christa's write-up comes with a personal story, as I will tell myself that you all will be interested to hear. As it happens, Christa was the first favorite I ever had in Survivor. The first episode I ever saw was Tijuana's boot, which I saw at my Aunt's house. I immediately fell in love with both the show and Christa, which started my present day survivor obsession. Unfortunately for childhood me, Christa was taken out in the very next episode, which devastated me. I knew heartache so well at a young age obviously...There is more to the story to my very first season of Survivor fanhood, but I will save that for another Pearl Islands castaway's write-up.
On the island Christa was strong allies with Rupert and Sandra. And while Rupert is not my favorite, I always loved Sandra and Christa together. Christa was blamed by her tribe for dumping out a pail of fish after Rupert's blindside. She was innocent from the accusation (it was Sandra's doing), and poor Christa was emotionally traumatized for something she never even did.

#121 Bobby Jon Drinkard: Palau (10th Place), Guatemala (9th Place)
http://i605.photobucket.com/albums/tt137/SpoolofLies/Survivor/Survivor10-BobbyJon.jpg
Forgive me as I awe over this man's beauty, but I'm not sure how many attractive men are left on this list (and by not sure I mean too lazy to go through and look).
Starting off Palau on the disastrous Ulong tribe, Bobby Jon watched in horror as he voted off his tribemates one-by-one-by-one-by-one-by...you get the idea. His brute strength, hardworking nature, and an agreement with Stephenie protected him until Ulong was down to two. Engaged in a fire-making challenge to break the obviously deadlocked tie, Bobby Jon was sent home when Stephenie won the challenge.
In a twist for Guatemala, Bobby Jon was brought back with fellow castaway Steph for a second chance at the game (which was the first time two returnees were introduced to a season). Bobby fared better at this season and was able to make it to the jury section of the game. Coming in with the minority numbers, however, Bobby Jon was soon taken out by former teammate Stephenie once again. Before leaving, however, Bobby Jon provided us with a humorous rivalry against Jamie (made even more humorous by their friendship formed once united as jury members).

In the game of Survivor lying comes as almost second nature. I have no issue with swearing on your children, making up false stories about your profession, personal history etc...it's all a part of the game. Dreamz is probably the only person to play Survivor that I found morally reprehensible in terms of his gameplay strategy.
When Yau-Man won the reward challenge for the car, he struck a deal with Dreamz (who he knew did not have a car). He would give Dreamz the car under the condition that Dreamz would give him immunity at the F4 tribal council assuming he won. Dreamz accepted. He then won the F4 immunity challenge (the new F3 twist was revealed before the challenge but after the deal between Yau-Man and Dreamz). Then he voted Yau-Man out. He essentially stole a car from Yau-Man. If you're going to go back on your word to that extreme, at least give the car back...Dreamz carried on to the FTC and received 0 votes to win. Shocker, huh?

Not quite as offensive as the two proceeding her on the list, NaOnka is still one of Survivor's most over-the-top villains. She pushed down a girl with a prosthetic leg, she buried her tribe's food, and then she quit the game. Not as reprehensible as the two before her, but still pretty darn bad. The thing that bothers me most about NaOnka, however, was her quit. She was one of the biggest goats the game has ever seen. Nobody in their right mind would ever vote her out. If she had stuck with the game for a few more measly days, she could have secured a third place finish.

In addition to stealing cars from people, I find depriving your tribemates of food pretty disgusting. And that's what Brandon Hantz did when he threw out the rice. Bad decision. However, I'm going to cut the guy some slack.
Brandon didn't earn his way onto the vile list for dumping out the bag of rice. Instead, I'm awarding the vile title for this write-up to editing & production. It's obvious this guy wasn't mentally well throughout the game in Caramoan. Something went wrong, and instead of quietly taking Brandon out for the help he needs, they made a whole episode broadcasting how crazy he went. That's not entertainment, it's disgusting.

#116 Stacy Kimball: Fiji (6th Place)
http://0.tqn.com/d/realitytv/1/0/8/1/1/stacykimball.jpg
One of these things is not like the others, and in this case it's Stacy Kimball. Conincidentally, Stacy would fit in with the vile category, but that's not why she's here. I just resumed with my ordinary rankings and this is where she fell.
One of Fiji's two biggest bitches, Stacy originally stuck out by bullying tribemates Dreamz and Cassandra. One particular instance is when she refuses to show Dreamz how to use the French coffee press. Although she may not have been the nicest girl out there, Stacy was still strategically sound...sort of. It was HER idea to cast the votes to Edgardo in his boot, so I give her credit for a great move there. It gets downplayed, however, when she essentially causes her own vote-off at final six. Yau-Man was supposed to be blindsided that night, but Stacy just couldn't keep her mouth shut. She hinted that the vote would not go down as it seemed, Yau-Man got concerned and played his idol, and Stacy went home due to her own big mouth.

#115 Sean Kenniff: Borneo (5th Place)
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101204214361/survivorrocks/images/5/5b/Sean_Kenniff.jpg
Considering I watched Borneo retroactively, I was not Sean's biggest fan my first time watching through the series. He was a doctor and yet he wasn't smart enough to join an alliance??? But as I know now, Borneo was a different Survivor than we have today. Alliances had never been seen before, so it's understandable that some people would be opposed to them. Though he wasn't a strategic mastermind, Sean brought us many reasons to laugh. One of which being his superpole 2000 which you can read more about here is so desired. http://funny115.com/v1/74.htm
And who could forget his alphabet strategy? Sean decided to cast his votes for people in alphabetical order in an effort to prevent making enemies. Instead he inadvertantly voted along with the Tagi alliance and koncked out Greg and Jenna. Sean is a laughable guy not made out for Survivor but humorous in hindsight.

#114 Jean-Robert Bellande: China (9th Place)
http://www.gambling911.com/files/publisher/Jean-Robert-Bellande-073108.jpg?0
Jean-Robert was a bit of a pig. He was lazy at camp and rude to the women. Despite these unlikeable qualities, I can't help but laugh at Jean-Robert. His brilliant strategy was to pretend to be lazy at the beginning of the seaon and then work harder later to look like he improved. What kind of a mastermind came up with that idea?
Jean-Robert also seemed to delusionally think that he was a strategic force. The evidence clearly showed us otherwise as Jean-Robert is shocked to find a clue to the "American Immunity Idol" on a reward challenge days after James had already found it. And while Todd buttered him up about Jean's strategic prowess in plotting to blindside James (in order to win his jury vote), Jean may have been smart enough to think of the idea, but he NEVER could have carried it out. He simply didn't have ability to influence anyone else's vote. And that's the difference between players like Todd and Jean-Robert. You need to have the force to back up the ideas in your head to be a great player.

#113 Jessica "Sugar" Kiper: Gabon (3rd Place), Heroes vs. Villains (20th Place)
http://images.wikia.com/survivor/images/7/71/Sugar_Kota.jpg
I'll admit that the first time watching through Gabon I was a huge fan of Sugar. I loved the sweet little girl who found the idol that Dan couldn't, stood up to Randy, and managed to march her way throughout the season without being targetted. I was apalled when Corinne slammed her on the jury and Sugar ended up receiving no votes at all. And as great as a character as Sugar is, I think Gabon's Sugar is a highly distorted portrayal of who Jessica Kiper really is.
I think Heroes vs. Villains really proved that to us all. Sugar was...different. Stalking Colby around and singing at inappropriate times, this was a completely different Sugar than we saw the first time. And so while I still sort of like Sugar as a character, I can at least understand where the Onions' sentiments came from.

#112 Twila Tanner: Vanuatu (2nd Place)
http://images.buddytv.com/articles/survivor/images/twila-tanner.jpg
Vanuatu is a personal favorite of mine. For those of you who haven't picked up on it, I'm a bit of a "girl power" kind of person, so a season where a dominant women's alliance arose was an A+ season for me (tainted by Chris's victory of course).
Out of all the seasons I have found Vanuatu's women the most difficult women to rank. I've already bumped up one player that was almost slated at the very beginning, and I have struggled with placing Twila as well.
Twila was a decent player. Her initial alliance was saved when they teamed up with Eliza to take out Dolly the swing vote. She pulled herself out of a tight spot when she was placed on a men's majority tribe and got John K. booted instead. And then she turned the tables on Ami and Leann when her, Scout, and Eliza sided with Chris. But Chris beat her. Twila is just one of the biggest question marks for me here. I'd like to hear all of your opinions. Should Twila have been placed higher, lower, or is this about right?

"The other problem with Judd is that he has a problem with recall"~The Queen of Guatemala
Guatemala is a season that is very dear to my heart. A large part of that reason is its pre-merge boots. Yes, it had the invisible trio of Brooke, Brianna, and Morgan, but it also had some of the best pre-merge boots of all time, and one of those boots is Margaret.
I'll go ahead and admit it openly. I love Margaret to pieces...it's a complete shame that she went out so early. One of those players that got screwed by a tribe swap, Margaret was in the dominant alliance on her former team only to get stuck with enemy #1 Judd on her new one. I don't understand Judd's hatred for Margaret, she seemed so lovable to me. Anyways, Judd flipped on Margaret, Brooke and Cindy, and Brooke followed by Margaret paid the price for it.

The first four minutes of this video highlight some of Margaret's greatest moments. Also, just for the record, Margaret never told him that he had ADD. It was actually Danni.

Another member of original Galu, Shambo's deferment to Foa Foa was crucial in the superpower's downfall. Shambo's flip was due mainly to her outsider status and her intense yet unexplained hatred of Laura. Once aligned with Foa Foa, Shambo wanted to vote out Dave Ball because she had a prophetic dream about him. I admire Shambo in the fact that she was able to vote for Russell after he turned on her. To be clear I do not think Russell should have won Samoa, Shambo just surprised me because I had her pegged as a bitter juror.

#109 Osten Taylor: Pearl Islands (11th Place)
http://photos1.blogger.com/img/224/1359/640/Osten.jpg
Osten Taylor could be the poster child for the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover." Though he was arguably the most athletically built guy out there in the Pearl Islands, Osten did not adapt well to island life. One of my favorite moments is when a pelican entered the camp...and Osten was terrified of it. He also struggled physically; he nearly drowned in a reward challenge and had to be rescued by Savage and Ryno. And I know that's not something I should be laughing about...but how can you not? Osten was one of the biggest disasters despite his physical appearance. Osten would end up being the first Survivor to ever quit the game. He remains to be (unless I'm mistaken) the only male to have done so up to this point.

A player always attracts my attention when they don't want to suck up to the returning players (Redemption Island scarred me for life in that sense). So when Christine dubbed Coach and Ozzy as temporary players, I was immediately impressed, even if it wasn't an intelligent decision socially. Christine would soon be voted out of the Upolu tribe because of this sentiment. However, Christine did not go out without a fight. She won five straight battles at Redemption Island and was only one duel away from re-entering the game when she was defeated by Ozzy. Her and Stacey made a fantastic team and I wish they had made it further into the game. Christine's amazing personality can be summed up by one story: she dressed up as Cochran for Halloween. How awesome is that? Nothing but love for this gurl!

I know 107 is a pretty low ranking for Rupert, but quite frankly I just don't care. I didn't like him in the Pearl islands, didn't like him on any reappearances, and I don't like him now. He always places well, which just bugs me even more. Interesting fact: Rupert Boneham is the only Survivor to be a jury member three times. He also ran for Governor of Indiana for the Libertarian party. He lost (by a landslide) thank goodness.
I apologize for any Rupert fans (if there are any) that may be out there. I shafted him a bit, but oh well.

In a season where most of my favorites went out in the earlier part of the season, Jenn (and her showmance partner Gregg) was my final hope to go deep into the merge in Palau. A strong contender, she made it to the final four where she lost in a firemaking challenge to Ian. Sadly, we lost Jenn in 2010 to an ongoing battle with breast cancer. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120523203324/survivor/images/a/ac/Terry_LaMina.jpg
Terry is that old man who gave his very best effort to ruin Exile Island, but fortunately for us did not succeed. Coming into the merge with depleted numbers, Terry's only assets were his challenge strength and his overpowered hidden immunity idol. Failing to put together a plan to save his diminishing team, Terry stayed on the island by winning challenges and watching La Mina dissipate. Terry continued to win immunity challenges and outlasted Shane and Courtney from Casaya. Aras finally beat him in final four, but his overly powerful immunity idol saved him and sent Cirie packing instead. Making it so close to the million, the universe was set right again when Danielle Goddess won the F3 challenge and sent away the old prune of Panama. Bye Terry, thanks for trying, but no one beats Casaya :xyxwave:

#104 Susie Smith: Gabon (2nd Place)
http://images.wikia.com/survivor/images/d/d0/Susie_Nobag.jpg
I think you could sum Susie up as the woman who keeps on surprising, which holds true for this list as well. Originally not even in the first 150 I chose, I keep bumping her up in the rankings. Outshadowed by Gabon's strong cast of characters, Susie actually has quite a few hilarious moments. The first of which include enraging Corinne. When NuKota went to tribal council due to the double elimination, Susie strategically tells Corinne that she was planning on voting her out and would later say at tribal council that she was stronger than Corinne. As I am sure you can guess, this brought us some brilliant confessionals from the Queen of Survivor.
http://i33.tinypic.com/15ohw8l.gif
Love Corinne but found this gif funny
Susie also had some monumental moments in the season, mainly flipping back to her Fang alliance to take out Marcus and turn the game on the Onions. She brought home two individual immunity challenge wins (including the final immunity challenge), which is something even our Olympic champion can't say.

#103 Julie Berry: Vanuatu (5th Place)
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120508022228/survivor/images/8/85/Julie_Lopevi.jpg
Julie, like Susie directly below her, was the other major shift I have made in the rankings. I originally sat down to do her write-up around #140 or so. And as I sat there and thought about it, I realized she was a MUCH better player than I gave her credit for. A member of the younger women's alliance, Julie was out of power from the beginning when alliance mates Eliza and Lisa turned on her to vote out Dolly and Mia respectively. Despite this early disadvantage, Julie was able to make it to the tribe swap and was placed on LoPevi along with Twila. This is where it looked like Julie was doomed: she was on a tribe dominated by men, and Twila was clearly above her on the totem pole. So Julie lied to Twila that she had been made an offer by the guys on LoPevi. This caused Twila to distrust the men and want to keep Julie around. When the LoPevi tribe did lose immunity, the combined efforts of her and Twila were able to save both women and boot John K. instead. At the merge Julie rejoined the women's alliance, and managed to worm her way into a final four deal with Ami, Leann, and Twila (stealing Scout's spot). Foiled when a counter-alliance formed, Julie was voted out after allies Leann and Ami. Julie's game displayed her strong social skills in her ability to climb from the bottom of an alliance into the good graces of the players in power. Julie also gained fame for dating Jeff Probst after her season.

http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/16400000/Jud-Fabio-Birza-survivor-16417163-595-893.jpg
At #102, Fabio is the first winner to be taken out of my rankings (although I will admit that as a matter of principle I left one winner off the list altogether). Fabio is just one of those winners I will never have a respect for. Only making it to the Final Tribal because of an immunity run, Fabio had no idea what was going on for the majority of the votes. He was a likeable enough guy, but as I place strategy over physicality, I wasn't particularly impressed with his victory over Sash and Chase.

http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Content/110516/News/1_mon/110515phillip-sheppard1.jpg
The last player to round out the bottom fifty of the list, Phillip got spot 101 for a completely personal reason. Can't stand the man, so I decided to give him the teaser spot. In all reality he doesn't deserve to be on here at all, but he's a major character, so I suppose he had to be recognized. Don't really want to get into the Stealth-R-Us mumbo jumbo. #100 Jenny Guzon-Bae: Cook Islands (10th Place)
http://0.tqn.com/d/realitytv/1/0/L/v/jenny.jpg
Some of you may be a little surprised to see Jenny show up on this list, but I actually have a couple of reasons for including her. During the course of the show, I liked Jenny despite her lack of air time due to her seemingly rough exterior. Some of you may remember that back in Michelle Yi's write-up I mentioned that she was one of two Survivors that got most screwed by a twist. The other one is right here. A victim to the infamous bottle twist, Jenny was voted out by the white alliance directly after Rebecca's vote-off. Jenny had absolutely no time to scramble, fight for immunity, or argue her case in any way. If given the time, I truly believe her and Nate would have been able to get Jonathan out next. Clearly the cards did not fall that way, though, and Jenny was knocked out just before the merge. On her way out she gave the rest of her tribe mates the finger, which is just one reason she would go down in Survivor history.
Jenny became notorious for drawing a gun on her vote to get Cristina out of the game. Cristina was a cop, had been shot on duty, and had lost her dad to a shooting as well. Needless to say, putting a gun on Cristina's vote was a bit insensitive. Jenny's cruel drawing, however, would inspire a thing of beauty. The vote led to the thread "Other votes Jenny would cast" on Survivor Sucks. It's similar stuff to the Cristina ballot, but it's absolutely hilarious. http://img2-1.timeinc.net/people/i/2011/news/110314/francesca-hogi-240.jpg
Known as the anti-Sandra, Francesca is known for being the only player to be voted out first...twice. I was fond of Francesca in her original season. She was one of the few not sucking up to Rob, and I remember cheering her on in her duel against Matt Elrod on Redemption Island. I was excited to see her come back for Caramoan and have a chance to prove herself...then Phillip happened. I don't necessarily think Francesca is a terrible player, she has a grasp on strategic gameplay, but she is way too aggressive coming out of the gate. Her rivalry with Rob got her out in Redemption Island, and she didn't really stand a chance when placed on a tribe with super-goat Phillip for her second season.

#98 Janu Tornell: Palau (8th Place)
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120511195321/survivor/images/f/f1/Janu_Koror.jpg
Some people seem to hold an unforgivaeable stigma over players who quit the game, and I agree with that sentiment in cases such as Osten, NaOnka, and Kelly Purple, but I will never be able to feel the same way about Janu. Just denied of her main ally #1 in Coby, Janu was left alone on a tribe full of enemies, which included bully Katie Gallagher. Janu was the first to ever journey to Exile Island and actually enjoyed the experience of getting away from her tribe. At tribal council Stephenie was slated to go next as the only remaining member of Ulong, but Jeff convinced Janu to quit the game and save Stephenie. Maybe I'm just interpreting the scene wrong, but it seemed to me as if Jeff coerced Janu into quitting. Obviously she had to have it in her mind at the time, but I'm not sure if Janu would have left the game without Jeff's influence. Regardless of what made her quit, I am fond of Janu and always feel sorry for the way the mega-bitch Katie treated her.

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120729025229/survivor/images/0/0f/Rudy_Tagi.jpg
We come to a Survivor classic with Rudy. The oldest man to play the game, Rudy allied with the least likely person: Richard Hatch. A retired Navy Seal and a man of older days, Rudy was unfamiliar with open homosexuals, which he made clear throughout the course of the season. Nevertheless, he and Richard become good friends and battled their way to the final three together, where he was voted off for being too much of a jury threat. He returned for All-Stars but his age hindered him from being successful for his tribe in challenges and was accordingly voted off. He made an appearance at the Caramoan reunion (and spoke longer than half the cast I might add) and spewed around some offensive terms (likely due to the request of CBS), but at the end of the day Rudy is that loveable old man who helped make Borneo what it is today.

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120718222358/survivor/images/1/1d/Jaime_Dugan_4.jpg
Jaime was a bit of a loveable villainess from China. She quickly developed a close relationship with Erik (whom she would later marry), Frosti, and Peih-Gee. When the tribe switch sent Frosti and Sherea to Fei-Long, Jaime and Peih-Gee plotted together to throw the immunity challenge to get rid of Aaron. They did it successfully, but made such a spectacle of themselves by giggling that Jeff called them out for it at tribal council. Directly before the merge, she found what she thought was a hidden immunity idol (it resembled the ones James possessed) that James had dropped in his search for the real one. When Jaime came into the merge and was immediately targetted, she attempted to play her fake immunity idol. It didn't save her (to the great amusement of James) and she was voted off, but seeing as she found herself a husband out of the show, she probably wasn't too dissatisfied with the season.

#95 Lisa Whelchel: Philippines (2nd Place)
http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130122171506/survivor/images/3/36/LisaT.jpg
Generally I am hesitant about celebrity casting simply because I fear they may play for fame rather than the game. However, with Lisa it is evident that she knew the game of Survivor. She survived to the merge without attending a tribal council (she could have been gone if Tandang has lost a challenge). Though Lisa had a grasp on strategy, her exucution wasn't perfect, which we saw in her botched attempt at blindsiding Malcolm. Nevertheless, she made it to the end game with her closest friend Mike. Together they took Malcolm the massive jury threat out at four only to lose to Denise. You could see Lisa's emotions conflict with how she wanted to play the game many times throughout the game. She was emotional, but she was a great character and a seemingly very sweet woman whom I would be happy to see play once again.

#94: Chet Sucks at Everything
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120727162948/survivor/images/5/59/Chet_Malakal.jpg
Whenever I go back and watch Micronesia, I can't help but laugh at how terrible Chet is. Already one of the three outsiders on the Fans tribe, Chet painted a massive target on his back by be unable to complete his leg of a reward challenge...costing his tribe major time. He is shown to be lazy around camp and talk too intimately with the chickens. Chet's story reached its climax when he was paired up in a challenge with his biggest rival, Joel, seen below.

Despite being useless in camp and at challenges, Chet managed to stay around longer than anyone expected. He outlasted Mikey B. and even the giant Joel and skated to 14th place finish. Wanting to leave the game because of a piece of coral lodged in his foot, Chet asked to be voted out after Malakal once again lost the immunity challenge. Though he could have teamed up with Tracy and Ami to take out Ozzy, Chet couldn't even give his own ally a chance at staying in the game after him.

#93 Taj Johnson-George: Tocantins (4th Place)
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121022015003/survivor/images/c/cb/Taj_Jalapao.jpg
One of the Jalapao 3, Taj was one of my favorite players from the Tocantins. Despite losing several immunity challenge, Taj survived to be the only Jalapao female to make it to the merge. In her course to get there, Taj went to Exile Island several times, made an alliance with Stephen, Brendan, and Sierra, and found the hidden immunity idol. Her exile island alliance was not successful, but she was still able to navigate to the final four due to Timbira's willingness to turn on itself. Backstabbed by her partners Stephen and J.T. at four, Taj was the only Jalapao member to even serve on the jury. Her most touching moment was when she found out she would see her husband on the island and burst out with joy.

#92 Silas Gaither: Africa (12th Place)
http://access.nscpcdn.com/gallery/i/s/samburu/lg2.jpg
The first person from Africa on this list, Silas placed highly because of his downfall. A member of the younger four at Samburu, Silas and friends treated the older crew (Frank, Teresa, and Linda) poorly after Lindsey beat Carl in a tie-breaker. Gaining hubris from having the numbers advantage, an irreconcilable split took place between the young and the old. A victim of the very first tribe swap, Silas was doomed when he was sent to Boran with enemies Frank and Teresa. Karma bit back and Silas was knocked out after NuBoran lost an immunity challenge. Silas was the first of many that would have their games turned upsidedown with the new tribe-swap twist in the game.
Much like Jenny, Silas also has spurred one of Survivor Sucks's best theads. Silas released an inappropriate picture, and Silas Screws was thus born. http://survivorsucks.yuku.com/topic/379/The-Silas-Screws-Thread?page=1#.UedPGr7D_IU

#91 Sherri Biethman: Caramoan (2nd Place)
http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTk2Mjc3OTY5MF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMTU5ODkyOQ@@._ V1._SX533_SY800_.jpg
As the second-to-last Caramoan Fan remaining on this list, it is harder to judge the newer cast members because I do not yet know how they will stand the test of time. Because of that reason, players from earlier seasons have a bit of an advantage on my list. On Sherri in general, she was the best placing Fan in Caramoan and is the only fan to have made the final tribal council. The beginning of her game was well-played, but everything went downhill when Shamar quit and Laura got voted out. Sherri was saved by landing on the young people tribe and made the merge, but she never had control after the tribe swap. She was seen as floating to the final three and didn't receive a single vote to win. I think Sherri's gameplay was better than she was given credit for, but Queen Biethman wasn't even able to do that herself in her address to the jury.
