I'm intrigued to find out how far people agree with this statement.
It's obviously down to the individual, but are you the sort of person to pick out the negatives rather than the positives? Or are you more likely to find the best in people and forgive easily?
I'd like to say that I try my hardest to find good things in people. But to be completely honest, if someone portrays themselves with attributes that are ugly on either first impressions or through a longer period of time then I'm probably going to ignore any good qualities about them.

I'm very forgiving and understanding. I can't stand cynicism. Always give the benefit of the doubt.

If it's true that there is good in everyone, sometimes it's so deeply hidden I can't be bothered to dig for it.

you could also say people have a thin top layer of goodness that soon wears off!
If you say there is good in everyone and you just need to look for it, then doesn't the same of the opposite of that need to apply, that there is also bad in everyone?
Anyway, if there were good in everyone, sure we wouldn't have serial killers.

Not everyone, unless murders, peados, and stuff doesn't count :P
Nope I don't think that's true.

I dont look for good or bad, I observe and see what I like and dont like in people. If like > dislike then Ill gladly be your friend.

its the amount of goodness we have and vice versa, you dont have to kill someone to be bad.

I realise that, that was why I specifically made the point of saying serial killers rather than killers though.

There's no good in Aaryn Gries, that's for sure.

She inspired the thread :joker:.
Somebody on another forum said that they felt sorry for her because she was crying, and then went on to say that she was still a human being.
I thought it was quite odd to have that perspective despite what she's done. But I found it too be an interesting debate generally, hence why I brought over to this forum.

She has literally NO redeeming features in her personality though.
