I need help finding a song!

Sounds completely stupid, not sure if anyone will be able to get it with the little information I have about it :S I heard a song on the radio the other day, sounded quite old (maybe 90's), I think it was a girl group - the song builds up quite a lot throughout with a punchy chorus and has a similar sound and feeling as 'heaven is a place on earth'?! I didn't even like the song, but I can't go to sleep because I can't remember what it sounds like ha!!

I found it!! Was 'Leave a light on' by Belinda Carlisle! Knew it sounded like 'Place on Earth' - heard it at work and has been annoying me all day!! Sleep now!
