Well she is likely to get one, since some person living alone in a 3 bedroomed house who has done nothing worng and accepted a secure tenancy,who has likely spent a lot on the garden of the house and keeps the house in good order internally,is being in effect financially blackmailed out of that house by this Govts bedroom tax/charge.

Which is likely then to be handed to this lady while she or he who was living alone gets forced to move into a 1 bedroomed flat.
Clearly being in this situation will pay off then for this lady thanks to this Govts policies.

If it is that one..then you can hardly blame her for popping out kids if the docs say shes incredibly fertile and they have tried methods of contraception. Also the latest kids were twins, which would back up the doctors theory too. And I don't think its unreasonable to ask for a bigger house when there are 8 of them living in a 1 bedroomed apartment. And its hardly that the bloke doesn't want to work..he's looking after the children as the woman is currently ill...

I hope its a different family that arista was talking about, as otherwise it appears everything has been twisted in this thread.

A better solution would be for her to get treated for depression, so that one of them can work. However she may already be getting treatment.

Its hardly right to expect people to go through operations simply because they are poor. In my opinion anyway.

Anyway, the benefit cap means even if they do have more kids they wont get anymore money. However since its medical..I'm quite sure that if neither gets an op they will still have more kids. What will the excuse be then? As it cant be because they want more money :wink:

Oh. Well having not seen daybreak, I can't comment on the woman you are on about in that case. As I have a feeling that this may not be the full story. If it is though, shame on them having kids just for money..

But this benefit cap will stop this. Even though I dont think its as common as some people believe. I think come 10 years time, we will still have poor families with loads of kids, because it was never all about the money.

And they cant claim over 26k a year as 26k is the most you can claim per household. And usually the majority of that goes on housing benefit.

Nothing like judging somebody based on their looks. Jesus Christ. I'm with Vicky on this. If she is super fertile why should one of them go through surgery to combat this?

I have to say I am with Vicky too as to this story.

It clearly also likely has little to do with politics or who was in when and where.
As is stated she will not be able to get more than £26,000 a year now for all of them and it will happen I feel sure that a house will become available for them soon too.
After this publicity I doubt any council would allow itself to be seen leaving so many children in these conditions.

As is often the case, (although there are cases where things are more black and white), this one appears to have a good bit of grey area as to how they are in this position.
Things are not always as they appear to be on the surface.
