Former Manchester City and Germany goalkeeper Bert Trautmann has died at the age of 89.
Trautmann is perhaps best remembered for playing the final 17 minutes of City's 1956 FA Cup final triumph with a broken neck.
He played more than 500 times for City between 1949-64 after arriving in England as a prisoner of war.
R.I.P. Legend. Playing with a broken neck is just plain ridiculous. Nowadays players wouldn't continue playing with a broken finger nail.
