Favourite five US comedy shows?

I know a lot of UK sitcoms get a lot of praise on here so I was interested to see which ones (past and present) TiBB are fond of. Oh and feel free to include cartoons :laugh:

For all time I'd go with:

1) The Simpsons (just for up to season 11-12ish)
2) Frasier
3) Curb Your Enthusiasm
4) 30 Rock
5) The Larry Sanders Show

(I know, I know... Seinfeld is probably the greatest, but I've never gotten round to seeing it)

For current I'd go with:
1) Louie
2) Parks and Recreation
3) Archer
4) Modern Family
5) Family Guy (the most recent season was a real return to form, and by comparison American Dad's most recent season was unbearable)

Can't really comment on the greats like Seinfeld and Frasier since I haven't really seen them. There are so many I've been meaning to watch properly, a lot I have just seen odd episodes of, but top 5 would be:

1) Modern Family
2) 30 Rock
3) Scrubs
4) Will & Grace
5) My Name Is Earl

Saw a couple of episodes of Community so might start watching that at some point

How I Met Your Mother would be on the list but I feel it has past its sell-by date. Season 8 was hit or miss. A lot of golden moments in earlier seasons though.

can't go wrong with Modern Family... it's very safe and a bit cheesy sometimes (I guess it has to be since it's on a major network that isn't NBC), but it does make me laugh out loud, and it's quite clever sometimes too :love:
