Do you do any baking?

Do you enjoy baking? I've never even attempted anything beyond "helping" my mum make stuff (i.e. stirring the mixing bowl and getting to lick the spoon clean, hiyaaaa) but I know a few people who are absolute whizzes in the kitchen when it comes to baked goods and it's always been something that I've found impressive.

I had one of those little baking ovens as a kid, I remember that being really good fun but now I am a grown up I don't think I've ever baked. It's a woman's job anyway.....

I only really took an interest this year because my kitchen at uni was pretty amazing :laugh: I'm not really that good... but I do a mean banana bread :love:

....you'll make them crispy! Turn the temp down to 180 for 40 minutes and turn them once.

That is way too specific to be a joke. Do you have time to marinade them or is it a swift shove and then you pop out to the shops for an hour?

Well unfortunately I don't, you know kids these days always screaming and tweeting.. I have to be quick to make sure they don't bring any unneeded attention my way.

..I have phases when I bake quite a bit, mostly with my son's girlfriend ..cupcakes, cookies etc because she really enjoys doing it but we're not really a cake/pastry family, so I often end up taking them into work for my colleagues to eat...

Anyway, I can't be expected to be fabulous in every room of the house.

I love to cook but no I can't bake at all, I have tried a few times but the last time I did my shortbread resembled hockey pucks :(
