England manager Roy Hodgson was left 'livid' after being denied a place in the directors' box for the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester United.
Hodgson, who had a brief and unsuccessful spell as manager at Anfield, was instead forced to watch the match from the scouts area as Liverpool had filled all their seats in the directors' box.
Among those who did manage to get into the directors' box was Gavin and Stacey star James Corden who was sitting beside Liverpool chairman Tom Werner.

He'd have done the job, he wasn't a bad transfer.. bar him costing 3.5m when he just moved on a free... decent CB that was a short-term prospect to do his job as back-up and didn't stop Matija's progress. Bloody injured himself and he's only been here 5 days, can't cope.

United yet to button up shirt deal with Nike... but remain on course for contract worth staggering £1BILLION
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward, who has taken the brunt of the blame for failings in the transfer window, has another deal to get over the line valued at well over 10 times the price of Gareth Bale.
United had been expected to sign a new long-term contract with shirt suppliers Nike for as much as £1billion before the six-month exclusive negotiating period ended last month. Woodward had been confident as long ago as last October of agreeing a 'major increase' in terms with Nike, whose current £303m deal expires at the end of next season
The next United kit partnership is estimated to be worth 10 figures if the length of the contract is similar to the present 13-year agreement.
There is time pressure on Woodward and his commercial staff because the big sports clothing companies, with whom United are now free to negotiate, generally need 18 months' notice to deliver a new kit range.
But with Puma (Arsenal), adidas (Chelsea) and Warrior (Liverpool) all investing considerable funds elsewhere in the Premier League, Nike are still strong favourites to keep their swoosh on the United shirt.
A Nike spokeswoman said: 'We have a great partnership with Manchester United and are still talking to them.'

The good news is that we are just about to sign Croatian legend Mladen Petric, definitely did need another striker

On the diving debate Ashley Young is no saint when it comes to diving, but he is not the first or last player to do so.. Yes he has a reputation for it, but plenty of English players have dived before. He rightly gets stick by United fans too and DM has publicly criticised him!
I didn't think it was a red card too for Dikgacoi.
Sunderland have a right to be annoyed with the decisions that went against them. Mesut Ozil looking the class player we know he is for Arsenal already and the improvement in Aaron Ramsey for them is impressive.

Will Suarez play midweek?
If I was Rodgers I'd leave it 3-4 more games to show who's still boss, if he came back in straight away, he might feel like he's still the main man when he shouldn't be

Mourinho has told Mata he is behind Oscar and will only start on the wing and be expected to chase back. What a waste of a player :joker:

They don't even need him. They play better football without him and they are actually getting Results without him too. He will come back and him and Sturridge will start having a shot on goal at every opportunity. Doesn't work.
Don't know how Norwich haven't scored in this game

Well done Southampton:D, oh and to Albion/Everton too.
Juan Mata not on the bench for Chelsea at all. Jose Mourinho has lost his marbles if he does not rate the guy...
The only unbeaten team in the Premier League
Does anybody know who that is?

After today.... Yes, Suarez will play midweek
Everton and The Tigers both win away, and Liverpool get beat at home
What a smashing afternoon of football

It says it all when none of Chelsea's Strikers have scored so far this season, but the player they loaned out to Everton aka Romelu Lukaku has.

21-09-2013, 04:16 PM
Jose thinks that Juan Mata is inconsistent? What utter crap, he thinks that Oscar is more consistent too currently.
Oscar is a quality player with more potential, but for me Mata is miles better than him. What a shoddy way to treat the guy who was their best player last season.
Brother Leon
21-09-2013, 04:18 PM
Jose's ego is unreal. He has to prove his point and will keep this up. He doesn't rate Mata and will make it clear he doesn't. This is the guy some of our fans three bitch fests about us not getting him as our new manager. Imagine Moyes came in and told RVP he's moving out wide or riding the bench. Not sure how he sees Oscar as a better player, but that is great for the rest of the league lol
I've never felt more like singing the Blues

Lol. Luiz > Terry and Cahill. He's not in the sqaud.
Mata > Oscar and DEFO Schurlle. He's not in the sqaud after not even starting in mid week, so its not like hes tired.
Still woulda preferred him to moyes tho. But hey.

RVP injured for the match. FML. Come on Wayne.

Even with the lack of RVP I've still got some nerves
Wayne always tends to deliver on derby days, and he's back in form. Liking our front 2 we've put out and hoping Nasri performs like he did against Plzen, the ****house.

Didn't get a chance to see the team until about 5 minutes ago.
Would like to know why he is in ahead of Nani. Fully expect Zabaleta to have him in his pocket. If I am wrong, and he tears Zabaleta apart, I will put Ashley Young as my sig for a week.

Would be utterly shocked if Pelli don't double up on Ashley. Zabelta is without question one of the best fullbacks in world football and though he faces world class talent like Silva and Navas week in week out it does not quite prepare you for facing Ashley Young
He commands 120+ a week for very good reason. Can use both feet equally well , has pace to burn and has tricks galore whilst being able to beat his man in either direction with ease. Let's be honest without injury he would be challenging Ronnie and Messi for WPOTY honours aswell as having over 100 goals/assists already in his short United career
