A real fan is one who points out the negatives in there team not sugar coating the issues just because he/she follows that team

Would you rather me tell you Evra is the best left back in the world or that Danny is as deadly as HIV in front of goal????

That is the very least I expect from someone who held the club at ransom not once but twice. Funny how you question my loyalty yet I never forgave Wayne for the way he treated the club unlike most who are happy to gloss over what he did when he scores the odd spectacular goal SMH

Legend killer
09-04-2014, 05:23 PM
De Gea; Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Evra; Carrick, Fletcher; Valencia, Kagawa, Welbeck; Rooney expected united team

My thoughts
All in all not bad with Rafa missing tbh and if they actually show up in a big game for the first time this season could actually do this tonight

HOWEVER

Evra starting is an absolute joke TBH and anyone that defends him needs to piss right off. The guy has literally not tried to defend in 2 years and if he decides to jog back into our half whilst Bayern attack we will be conceding 3-4 goals tonight Buttner should have got the nod

Fatty will show us once again how the number 10 should not be played but at least Shinji is in the team so hopefully he takes up most of the ball

Would have actually had Valencia at RB with Jones taking Fletch's place and put Nani out wide who in 20 mins at the weekend showed more the both Young and Tony combined have done in the last 2 years

Ryan57
09-04-2014, 05:34 PM
Valencia is a massive liability at right back. We should try him in the centre of midfield in future, tbh. He's played there for Ecuador. Built like a brick sh!t house and energetic.

Obviously not instead of buying midfielders, but I bet he'd do better than Fellaini in a big match.

Ryan57
09-04-2014, 05:38 PM
De Gea; Jones, Smalling, Vidic (C), Evra; Fletcher, Carrick; Valencia, Rooney, Kagawa; Welbeck

Subs: Lindegaard, Büttner, Ferdinand, Giggs, Januzaj, Young, Hernandez

Neuer - Dante, Ribéry, Mandzukić, Robben, Boateng, Götze, Lahm (C), Müller, Alaba, Kroos

Subs: Raeder - van Buyten, Rafinha, Pizarro, Weiser, Hojbjerg, Weihrauch

No Fellaini at all. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MU9KxjG0u_g/T1PEhdyH4CI/AAAAAAAAAA8/UE3nhl4DhWA/s640/tyler+laughing+hard+gif.gif

Tony is postionally very poor however due to his pace and strength he actually stays with his man a lot better then either Jones or Smalling who are dread full fullbacks. Not to mention he is actually quite dangerous when attacking from full back due to his speed and no one standing him straight up cause of his deep runs. Plus going with my team you have the benefit of being able to put Jones into CM (perfect for this sort of game) and getting match winner Nani on

As for CM please god no can only imagine how embarrassing his passing would be in that key role

09-04-2014, 06:01 PM
Prefer him to Buttner. Although, as much as I can't stand Buttman, he generally well in the first leg. So a little harsh he doesn't start tonight.

I do fear Robben may tear Evra apart. He needs to stay back at all times, tbh. He's going to need help from whoever ends up on the left. Probably be Kagawa.

Ryan57
09-04-2014, 06:14 PM
A bigger worry is Smalling. Not match fit. Wio had a good game last week, and we'll be deep so his lack of pace wouldn't be exposed.

Legend killer
09-04-2014, 06:18 PM
Doesn't matter who you have in front of Patrice as he is only is a defensive postion 10% of the time and even then that's after jogging back real slow. Guy is an utter liability and don't be surprised to see him in the other half of the pitch whilst Robben is off celebrating a goal Buttner earned his start and it's bang out of order he didn't get one. Patrice OWES the fans a good performance tonight we have waited for 3 years now and it's time for him to step up to the plate

If he puts in a performance like Buttner's in the first leg I actually think we will win tonight with Smalling getting the first goal from a set piece

PS: That ****ing bum Young ahead of Nani on the bench is another disgrace

Legend killer
09-04-2014, 06:19 PM
Smalling ahead of Rio is a GREAT DECSION not only is he a better defender and quicket then Rio he is a big threat from set-pieces and I expect him to grab a goal tonight

Great from the players, except Rooney. Pathetic display from him. Moyes can piss off now. Loser. We go 2-1 down, sits down... world class manager right there.

One tactic all night. Win the ball back, hoof it up the pitch, lose it... rinse and repeat. Disgraceful. Absolute loser of a manager. Board needs to grow a pair and ditch the toss pot. Total bottler.

Rooney remained on due to Moyes. That desperate to keep him on he shoves him in midfield. And his Everton tactics. Long ball. Why didn't we play wank Fellaini if that's all we're going to do(?)

Completes a shocking season. Might take up watching women's netball. Better looking fannys on the screen.

Evra was arguably our best player before the goal where te whole team whimpered after pretty much. He and Jones defended their wingers brilliantly. The same wingers that have ripped every team apart they have faced the last couple years. It could of been Evra,Shaw or whoever..Robben was going to get free a couple times. Come off your agenda. You slated him before the match and were almost begging for him to play poorly. Pathetic stuff.

I didn't have an issue with Moyes original tactics. They worked for a long time. It's his lack if a plan B that has been his problem all season and was today. "Oh look..we are behind with 20 mins to go..Hernandez on for a mid"...every ****ing time :joker:

Appearantly if Atletico draws Chelsea, they won't be able to play Courtois because of a clause in the loan deal with Chelsea saying they have to pay 2.5 Million Euro each leg.
They don't have the money to do so.

Nah, it will be the other way around, Chelsea will be too much for them. Especially since Atletico can't play their first keeper without having to pay alot of cash to Chelsea. (Because Atletico's keeper is on loan from Chelsea, there's a money clause saying they can't play him without paying 2 mil + Euros for each leg.)

I know Courtois is on loan from Chelsea but it's laughable if you think them having to play their back up keeper means that Chelsea will steamroller them.

Bet you thought Barcelona were too good for them too right?

UEFA have said that Chelsea can't stop him playing against them, and they can't charge them for it either.

http://www.football365.com/news/21554/9259933/Courtois-CAN-Play

Courtois is in his third season on loan with the Spanish club from Chelsea and the teams were paired together in Friday's draw in Nyon.

Media reports suggested Chelsea and Atletico agreed a clause in the keeper's contract that the Madrid team would pay around £5m in compensation if the clubs clashed in European competition.

And Atletico have indicated that they would not be prepared to field him at that price, and would abide by the agreement with the Blues.

UEFA became involved on Friday morning, insisting that they would overrule any attempt by Chelsea to bar Courtois from playing.

Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague says Chelsea and Atletico may have cut a deal which would see Courtois sit out the Champions League double-header, in return for the Blues agreeing to the keeper returning to Madrid next season on loan.

Gourlay insists there is no question of the Blues standing in the way of the Belgium international playing in the semi-finals - though he made no mention of any fee the Spaniards would have to pay.

"The loan was arranged back at the start of the season," he told Sky Sports News. "It's quite simple - Thibaut can play against Chelsea. That was never in doubt. Regarding the UEFA statement, we'll evaluate that in due course. As far as Chelsea's concerned, we've complied with the loan rules."

A UEFA statement issued prior to the draw read: "In response to media reports referring to the situation of Club Atletico de Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, UEFA would like to reiterate its position.

"The integrity of sporting competition is a fundamental principle for UEFA.

"Both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations contain clear provisions which strictly forbid any club to exert, or attempt to exert, any influence whatsoever over the players that another club may (or may not) field in a match.

"It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as UEFA is concerned.

"Furthermore, any attempt to enforce such a provision would be a clear violation of both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations and would therefore be sanctioned accordingly."

Doesn't make a difference if they hit the post 3 times. We beat them 2-1 a few years ago at home, they still battered us, Chelsea beat them 2 years ago, they battered them too. Both times keepers came out MOTM, it's a whole different situation without Courtois.

Jesus.
11-04-2014, 12:12 PM
It also shouldn't be allowed that one club can loan one of the top keepers in the world for 3 seasons (and probably 4). That's basically a whole contract, and it's just about monopolising players.

Nah, I had a feeling they would beat Barca, I'm basing this off the fact that their backup keeper is I think 35 and only played in one game in the last two years.

UEFA have said that Chelsea can't stop him playing against them, and they can't charge them for it either.

Then footie is rotten to the core. If I was on loan from a club like that who then denied me the opportunity to play in those games for their own benefit, I'd hand in a transfer request instantly, and take them to the European court of law for restriction of trade. I despise Chelsea.

Clubs shouldn't have that power over other clubs.

Yeah but that's the point, if Chelsea want to sell him then Atletico will want to be the first option and I doubt Chelsea would want to do business if they play him

But then again they've given him the platform to become one of the best goalkeepers in the world adding about 25m to his price tag so they should be happy either way and thankful to Atleti
