With an antiques expert residing in the Celebrity Big Brother House, what better way for the housemates to spend their afternoon than getting their knick-knacks valued by the Queen of antiques herself, Lauren Harries.

The celebrities have been asked to present their most treasured and valuable possession to Lauren and give a reason why it means so much to them. It might be a rare diamond ring, a one-off pair of designer sunglasses or a maybe a photo that holds sentimental value. Who knows what these celebs are hoarding, but it'll be interesting to see what they unearth!

Once Lauren has given the trinkets a once over, she'll decide whose item is the most valuable, with the winner receiving a special prize - a British afternoon tea with Lauren. How splendid.

Edit: and it's NOT the paltry £30 Per Diem either.

2:20pm: It seems that Danielle's story reimagines her as an olden days sailor

2:23pm: Louie is showing off his toothbrush to Lauren. He says it's an antique, and a sentimental item to boot.

2:25pm: Mario next. His valuable is a bracelet given to him by his first girlfriend.

2:27pm: Carol has chosen a precious necklace to show to Lauren. It was a gift from her fiance.

2:30pm: Charlotte next. She's brought some socks adorned with fried eggs. Beautiful.

BB should have provided some genuine antiques to see what crap she would spout without her father's guidance.
Now THAT would have been HILARIOUS!

No doubt this screamingly funny interlude will take up a sizeable chunk of the HL show.

When I saw the title this is what I thought the task would be. Genuine antiques, then after she gave her prices on them a panel of real experts would give the actual prices. :joker:

Which reminds me..... if she does 5 outfit changes per day for 21 days, how did she pack 100 different outfits in one suitcase plus that tiny "carry-on" case?

It had made me look at Lauren very differently. I was not a fan of hers but I really started to warm to her....not anymore.

You know Erinp,...Lauren reminds me of 'Frankenstein's Monster'!...I remember going to the pictures to watch it when I was young......but even then, when I was so young...I could understand that 'The Monster' was created!...and even though it killed that poor little girl [and loads of insignificant local-peasants]...it really wasn't his fault!...and that [B]Baron Victor Von Frankenstein that was to blame, and in fact..the real Monster!...and Boris' character was indeed a victim himself!

...Lauren wasn't born a con-merchant...she was created!

...can't you see the comparison?...or the masked vulnerability ?....well I can!...the girl's fragility is blinding me, and I wish her nothing but good things from this show!

My mistake, Lex! He did throw her in the lake, thinking she'd float!!

"Henry leaves to prepare for his wedding while Dr. Waldman conducts an examination of the unconscious creature. As he is preparing to begin dissecting it, the creature awakens and strangles him. It escapes from the tower and wanders through the landscape. It then has a short encounter with a farmer's young daughter, Maria (Marilyn Harris), who asks him to play a game with her in which they playfully toss flowers into a lake and watch them float. The monster enjoys the game, but when they run out of flowers, tragedy occurs. Due to his defective brain, the monster thinks Maria (unable to swim) will float as well as the flowers, so he picks her up and throws her into the lake, and the girl drowns. Realizing he has made a terrible mistake, the monster walks away feeling troubled and remorseful. This drowning scene is one of the most controversial in the film, with a long history of censorship."

Maybe I saw a censored version, I know it was "X" rated or was it "H" and we weren't supposed to get in!

It was a long time ago, denoted Horror!

H was used from 1932 'til 1951.

Definitely would have been a 'H' when I first saw it at the 'Bugs Hut' [the star] up Sheffield rd Fingers...that was back in the late thirties though , when the staff used to turn a blind eye to 'quiet kids' being smuggled into the theatres by their older brothers. ...even if their intentions were only to scare the crap out of us little swines!

...It's funny though, as I remember...I wasn't all that scared of Frankenstein [brilliant film though...and Elsa Lanchester scared the hell out of me in the sequel!]...but it was Bela Lugosi that really gave me nightmares in Dracula! ...and even more scary to 'this' little lad, was...Dwight Frye's 'Renfield'. :o [still sends a shiver down my spine when I see it! lol.]

...sorry if i'm waffling on buddy...but...God I love a good movie!
