So I've started watching previous seasons...

I had a read through some threads on here about suggestions of what seasons to watch but the answers were so varied that I figured I'd just watch them all in chronological order. I was gonna start with BB1 even though it followed a UK format but I couldn't find any links so gave up and begun with BB2.

I'm surprised...I started Saturday night and have just watched the finale so it's taken me four days :laugh:

I thought it got off to a really slow start, I found the first maybe 7 - 10 episodes pretty dull and I considered actually giving up and moving on but after the tenth episode things finally started to get interesting and from that point I was hooked and watching about six episodes a day :D I wouldn't say it was an amazing season (I know I've nothing really to compare this against, I just mean in terms of how enjoyable I found it)...but it was good and I'm glad I stuck with it.

So...Kent...****ing homophobic redneck ******. That's all I have to say about him. I loved Bunky (:love: :joker:) pretty much the whole season, I liked Hardy at the start too but he went downhill towards the end and began pissing me off. Will probably grew on me the most, I mean I thought Mike was alright but having heard good things about these two I was wondering what all the fuss was about until Mike's eviction and then omg...what a legend Will became :worship: literally I think if he had been evicted I would have considered giving up again because he practically carried the show. His DR's were hilarious and when he used to piss Nicole off :joker: :joker: just genius. I liked Autumn too and thought she left too early, and Nicole was alright in terms of contribution I suppose.

It was also weird watching a show that's twelve years old, you could really tell. And the September 11th episode was strange to watch :/

So yeah, I'll be starting BB3 soon. No spoilers about future seasons though plz

though you might want to just keep watching in order as then you'll be up to date with the housemates in there and the rivalries

I am just starting watching previous seasons too (I only started watching BBUSA 15 after I fell in love with BBCAN) and I originally started with 13, but then I got kinda bored with the first few episodes after I accidentally spoiled some of the placings for myself. It's hard not to know who some people are/how far they get because I hear them being discussed on like every forum.

Then I moved on to BB4, and the first few episodes seemed great to me, but then I had a change of heart and decided to start from BB6 and work backwards towards BB2 (BB1 is apparently just pointless and horrible and the BBUK format). So far I've watched 3 episodes of BB6 and it's AMAZING! Nearly all of the cast seem likeable and I don't really know much about the placings either.

If I didn't already know so much about placings and stuff (seeing as I've seen them being discussed on other forums) then I would probably just do a chronological watch like you are, but I'm starting with BB6 as that's apparently the best one.

You can get them all on YouTube you know? Just search TheQuirkyDude channel and ALL the seasons are there. That's how I'm watching them.

BB2 :love: probably my 3rd favourite series of reality TV ever.

Everything about this season is fantastic, Will managing to turn everyone against each other <3 The downfall of Hardy <3 Bunky's general awkwardness <3 Shannon being such a massive **** <3 and I know this is such a wrong opinion, but I can't help but find Kent a hilarious human being. Especially when considering: http://www.queerty.com/big-brothers-kent-blackwelder-sued-when-his-daughter-opened-x-rated-pics-a-gay-mag-sent-he-lost-20101216/ and then there's Nicole, possibly my favourite houseguests of all time. Flipping the house on the first week despite being universally hated <3 Her and Wills relationship <3 Being so aggro all the time <3

I always feel alone in this but I prefer BB2 Will SO much more over BB7 Will.

Just to add as another point of discussion, I think Monica is a really, really underrated player.

...I may have to give this a re-watch again soon.

So I finished BB3 at like 5am this morning, I'm not sure whether I preferred it to BB2 or not cause much like that it took me a while to get into it (albeit longer this time), but once I did I was hooked again and trying to rush through watching episodes.

I loved Marcellas :love: him, Danielle, Gerry and Jason were my favourites <333

I did like Chiara too, tearing apart all those stereotypes :love: I wanted to like Josh but he was just too irritating.

LOL @ Marcellas not using the Veto, I obviously knew this happened and was dreading it...but watching this after you've seen the whole season it really becomes even more stupid :joker: I guess cause it was the first time a nominee could save themselves he didn't really think through the repercussions but it was still moronic cause if he'd just sacrificed Amy by saving himself then he could have easily won F4 HoH and got rid of either Jason or Danielle by keeping Lisa off the block

I also knew Danielle didn't win (just not who she was against in the F2) unfortunately and that saddened me cause she was by far the best player and those bitter arseholes on the jury deserved a slap. I'm glad they start sequestering jurors cause it was so unfair that she lost and to...LISA of all people :yuk: I kinda figured it'd be Jason in the F2 and that I would've been happy with, I mean he wasn't as good as Danielle but at least he was a part of that alliance. But Lisa?! I mean I liked the girl but Christ she was dreadful, no way in hell did she deserve to win

So yeah, I enjoyed it but I'm not sure whether I preferred this or BB2. Again no spoilers about future seasons plz

Okay so since my last post I've finished both BB4 and BB5 (in the last few minutes). Spoilers if you don't want to know the results:

BB4:

Erm, I'm not really sure what I think of this season to be honest. I got into it pretty quickly but I became quite ambivalent towards the middle and then it picked up again towards the end. I found that I didn't really have many favourites which was strange and I suppose that's why I didn't really care that much about it. I did love Alison though, what a fierce bitch :love: a deserving final two as well I thought. I thought Jee was unintentionally hilarious too and I wish David and Michelle (:lovedup:) had made the jury cut at least. I also thought (and this is strange for me to think this) Jun's trip to the VMA's was pretty cool. It was a decent season overall but I really don't have many strong feelings on it either way to be honest.

BB5:

Okay so I think it took me a while to get into this and at the start I found myself being like :shrug: this is going to be a bit of a chore, but I've surprised myself, having just finished it I've really actually quite enjoyed it in hindsight, it grew on me and I became hooked half way through.

The early stages I just spent my time longing for Jase's eviction, Christ he was repulsive :yuk: and the alliance name of 'The Four Horsemen' is so cringey. Scott was kinda annoying but I didn't mind Drew and cowboy. I was literally SO elated when Jase became the first victim of the backdoor strategy (love you Nakomis for inventing it <333), it was hilarious. She actually grew on me too and I kinda wish she'd made the F2 cause she was probably one of the strongest players.

My favourite was definitely Will though, he made me laugh so much :laugh2: his hate for the personality vacuums that were the twins was so funny and on that note I'd just like to say first of all props to them for actually pulling their mission off, can't have been easy...but like...what the actual ****** was Adria thinking turning on her own group so early? She literally thought she was the most powerful bitch in the world but I laughed so hard when her and Natalie were the next two out, how she couldn't see that coming was beyond me :crazy: and Will's karma was served <33333

I also loved Marvin, what a legend. 'I hope he don't use that veto or my black ass will be going up' :joker: :joker: :joker: so many good lines, I was rooting for him after Will left. Then Nakomis and after that I kinda didn't care who won because I liked them all, but I thought the F2 was a nice balance of deserving and likeable. I mean I just couldn't help but find cowboy endearing, I'm glad it wasn't a unanimous loss (I was expecting 7-0 not 4-3) but Drew deserved it out of them two.

Was also glad they got an audience at last for the finale and did the jury vote live, far better atmosphere.

So yeah, in hindsight I actually really enjoyed this season and I didn't think I would and I don't believe it's a popular one either? Really looking forward to BB6 now though :D

What an amazing season, I was really looking forward to this one since everyone had always recommended it and it didn't disappoint :love:

I LOVED the Sovereign Six alliance :love: in particular Janelle (this girl is actually amazing <33), Kaysar, Howie and James. The house divide was really interesting to watch and I loved all the drama :D

I was really surprised but happy when Kaysar was voted back in with like 82% of 5m votes, I thought America would love Eric and the other side of the house so I was totally pleased they didn't, the Nerd Herd were revoltingly dull :yuk: I so wish Maggie hadn't got into Howie's head to put up James and Sarah cause they'd have probably had a majority on the jury then ensuring a Sov would have won had they made the F2 :( that was the downfall unfortunately

I hated Jen the dull ****ing ****** for backdooring Kaysar, seriously what a dumb irrelevant bitch, she wasn't on anyones radar before that (I barely even knew who she was she was so pointless) yet she made a target for herself by going back on two of her words, such a dumb move and it was amazing when she was evicted the following week :joker: Janelle being all 'hand over the key bitch' <333333 and 'bye bye bitches' :laugh3: I ****ing love her so much :lovedup: and then Rachel just being a goddess at the jury house when talking about her 'if she doesn't keep her hands off Howie I'm going to throw her in that pond' :laugh2:

I was really impressed with the shortlist they got though ew at them inviting Lisa and Ivette back like just no they were terrible. I couldn't believe the likes of Jase and Erika got voted in over Danielle and Will either :shrug: I'd have swapped Erika or Diane for Bunky for the lols but aside from that it was a pretty good cast

It was so interesting and weird to see all these people that I'd loved being in the house together, but sad to see them turning on each other too :(

I was supporting the season six alliance and Chilltown initially, as well as Danielle and Marcellas individually, I wish they all could have worked together :( it's a shame Alison and Nakomis left so early too but oh well. Also I didn't mind Jase this time around which surprised me

I wanted the S6 alliance, Chilltown, Danielle, George and Marcellas left at the jury cut, Kaysar especially because he didn't make sequester in BB6 either and it was so annoying how he left at the same point this time :( George purely cause he never got to play in BB1 and even though I hadn't seen it, I found him quite hilarious in this

Adria turning on her own alliance to try get jury votes is the most overlooked dumb move ever... there was literally no logic behind it.

Also, Ivette took Maggie with her because if a member of the friendship voted out one of their own none of the friendship would vote for them at jury.

BB8 is very FULL ON. SOme people may not like the outcome, but it is a great season.

Wait til you see BB10 though, it's my favorite season. It proves that you don't just need young pretty bodies to make a great season. BB10 is AMAZING.

BB10 is the one I'm looking forward to the most! Seriously, the only thing keeping me going through the end of BB8 and then the whole of BB9 is that I can watch BB10 after it!

BB8 is a mightily frustrating season. Jen and Amber are obvious stars, but evil winning out really ruins it and the season comes to a screeching halt once Jameka is (unfairly) evicted. America's Player was just a sneak peek at what was to come in the Grodner era and made Eric unbearable (much like UK People's Puppet Michael what a nightmare), Dick being an emotional (and physical) terrorist was horrendous, and his win just makes it much worse. It'd be like if Speidi won CBB11, but I'll wait for people to come at me and try to counter that one. Also, I could totally do without the proto-Russell Hantz effect where every recruit somehow thinks that acting like an unwarranted asshole and a bully helps you in a social game.

And then BB10 is just overrated beyond belief and would've been much better if the season was truncated at Libra's eviction (which hey, it kinda was?)

If I had stepped into a thread created by someone else discussing previous houseguests or seasons and someone happened to post a spoiler of a season I'd not seen then well fair enough that's my problem, and I'm trying to avoid all other BBUS threads as it is at the moment anyway for that very reason...but in my own thread where I'd expect to be able to discuss what I've seen without having to look out for spoilers...you know, it'd be nice if like everyone else has seemingly managed to, you just stuck to discussing seasons that I've actually seen, since that is um...the point of this thread.

Also actually it was the BB10 spoiler (namely 'Libra's eviction') that caught my eye as I scrolled past because it was on a line of its own. And I know the rest of the BB8 post is full of spoilers because every time you've been asked not to post spoilers in other threads, you continue to do so so I know what to expect

Um yes but he managed to do so without naming anyone, that's my issue. I would ideally prefer it if all future seasons that I haven't seen weren't discussed in here but at least he and others that have done have had the courtesy to not name anyone and give vague references which will only make sense to those of you have seen the season. That isn't even difficult to do and for most people would be a fair part of not being a dick and just being genuinely cooperative.

Seriously, just do me a favour and don't post in here until I've finished BB14, why you insist on being the only person to do what I've asked people in here not to is beyond me. If you want to talk about old seasons then just create a thread yourself where you can discuss them as open and as freely as you want...

Actually no. My only post in this thread was August 29 (WHICH might I add now that I just saw Jack's ****ing rude reply to me, was a perfectly nice post and was in no way patronizing or baiting) and I haven't touched this thread since. He didn't specifically ask me to not post spoilers.

Like I said, this was the most recent thread, I clicked on it and saw (without going back to see that it was a thread by Jack or a thread I even replied in) that there was a BB8 and BB10 discussion going on, so I posted my two cents. That's what you do on a forum. You already posted something about the ending of BB8 so I elaborated on it. Everyone needs to get over themselves if they think I came in here to deliberately troll Jack and ruin his BBUS watch for him because I couldn't be bothered in the slightest. I didn't even know this was his thread when I posted, I was just joining in on the (lengthy) discussion on BB8 and BB10. I mean, I was just conversing with lostalex about how I liked Daniele, Dick, Eric, Jen etc and that gives no indication whatsoever as to where they finished. k so it's been agessss since I've updated this but I have now finished BB8, 9 and 10. Spoilers as per usual

Okay so I thought this got off to a bit of a slow start, and I couldn't abide the closet homophobe Kail, but it did begin to improve after she'd left

I did enjoy Dick and Daniele in the early parts of the season but towards the end I was getting quite sick of their attitude and I still can't believe he managed to get away without a warning for burning Jen with a cigarette like wtf? She was amazing though :love: what a goddess

I was surprised that I quite liked the America's Player twist too, and I think Eric did a pretty good job given the circumstances, there were a few close calls

I also pretty much fell in love with Jessica in the latter stages too after initially finding her quite annoying :suspect: she was so sweet <3 and I loved her and Eric's relationship

But yeah, it comes to something when I'm rooting for ****ing Zach of all people to win the first part of the final HoH comp against Dick just to take him down a peg or two. I do respect their games though and their final two was deserved. I was a bit on/off with them tbh

What the actual ****** was the couples twist all about? A sloppy, confusing, pointless mess. Ridiculous idea and it really spoiled the first few weeks cause I didn't have a clue what was going on, it was so hard to follow :shrug: but do you know what, it actually picked up after that and I know most people don't like this season and I can see why, but I did enjoy it in the last few weeks

I absolutely detested Joshua, what a revolting ***** little queen :yuk: vile, just vile. I spent the first half of the season longing for his eviction since I had a bad feeling he might win but once he'd gone I could enjoy it more

I did like James also at times and I enjoyed his resilience with the Veto wins. My favourite was without a doubt Sheila though :lovedup: what a legend of a woman, she was so hilarious and her and Adam's relationship was awesome <3 I really wish she had made the F2 cause she deserved $50k for being so amazing

I found Natalie quite endearing too, her obsession with Matty :laugh2:

I didn't mind Adam either and found him quite funny at times, I could take or leave Ryan though he was a bit irrelevant, their final two was also deserved though

Also I wish Parker had stayed longer, he was cool :amazed:

But yeah tbh I didn't actually mind this season after the twist ended/Joshua left, I get why it's not rated highly and I don't rate it highly either but I did surprisingly quite enjoy it in the end

I think for me it took a couple of weeks to get into this whereas with BB6 it was an instant love, but once it picked up I loved it :love: I really loved Renny, Libra and Dan

I was a bit hit and miss with Memphis, he didn't really entertain me that much but I did enjoy him and Dan as a duo, and their final two was probably the most deserving of the seasons I've seen so far :suspect:

I thought the cast was great in this season though, there wasn't really anyone I actively disliked? I kinda went off Jerry towards the end and Michelle/April started to get irritating but that's it tbh

Can't decide whether I prefer this or 6, the latter had a better start but a dreadful end and this was kinda the opposite, so idk. 6, 10 and 7 are top three for me atm though

BB8 is kinda overrated I think, Jen basically saves it from being one of the worst

BB9 kinda like BB15 in the way it had way too many ****ty people (Joshuah, James and Chelsia are definite worst of all time) Chatty Natty is the clear winner though <3

BB10 was great and proves how important the boot order is to a season (an overbearing Brian, Whiny-ass Steven and placid Angie leaving first was so beneficial. Ollie being the sacrifice over Jessie would've been PERFECT.) Renny needs her own ****ing TV show though I swear to God.

BB11 is one of my favourites even though I love the "villains" and hate the "heroes" :laugh: hope you enjoy it too!

Jameka was such a lulworthy goddess <3 that veto where she's preaching "god will have redemption on you" and fiercely clapping her hands at Dick whilst Jen is concerned about the colour of her belt on her costume is one of my fave BB moments of all time :love:

and I loved BB11's cast, one of the best casts to date (bar repulsive Ronnie)
