Just a simple question. Do you prefer a guy who;

A) Oozes self confidence to the point of being arrogant and cocky

Or

B) modest to the point of self defeatism and has no self worth.

Guys can do it for guys/girls too and girls for other girls just interested to see where people stand on this.

Thanks for reading,

Both sound terrible.

A million percent not A. Arrogance is a total turnoff.

I would go for B, hoping there would be just enough of a spark in his personality to instil a bit of self confidence in him, if he was a complete wet lettuce though it would be very hard work, I have enough insecurities of my own to battle :joker:

Yeh well in this totally hypothetical scenario there are no balanced people. :pipe:

Imagine you love in Barnsley, this dilemma will be hitting many young men and women as we speak.

..I don't think any extreme is good so it would be a bit of both...

Somewhere in between the 2 options is ideal...

I think I've worded it wrong. You can have a laugh with both but one guy is far too up himself and the other doesn't believe in himself at all. Which is the biggest turn off?

It's basically just the do women love cocky blokes question but Simpl(minds)ified.

Both sound awful, but if it had to be one, then the second.

B. For whatever reason there's something about someone who needs someone to make them happy and feel good about themself that appeals to me.

ok, then my answer is still B.

Arrogance is a no no, even if he is funny with it. I could cope with someone who didn't believe in themselves......see my original answer.

Am I the only one that has picked A? I think 'B' would pull my mood down.

I'm sure your not the only one. My guess would be a 50/50 split.

The reason I asked was because I believed that women were drawn to men who thought highly of themselves and that men who lacked self belief in who they were were a huge no no.

I prefer a man who's confident and accomplished, but modest.

So basically someone who believes in their ability but plays down the things they do when being appraised?

I'd like to think most men would fall into that bracket.

Would have to be B for me - can't stand arrogance.

I don't like it either.

Is there anybody who finds arrogance a turn on? I'd love to hear your views please.

Well if I went and said A) Jesus or B) Simple Minds I would have feared for my ratings. :joker: at least this way our identities are kept withdrawn from public scrutiny.

No, that's not what I mean. I mean someone successful, accomplished and confident, but who isn't a gob****e and an insufferable boaster.

I don't like arrogant and cocky, but equally I'm not enamoured by defeatists with no self-worth... which was the only two choices open.

I find awkwardness and/or a lack of confidence quite charming so I'd say B although being too down in the dumps would depress me to no end.

B for sure I'd want to kill the other!

Depends.

I have lusted over cocky arrogant types:blush:( in my youth of course) Liked a challenge I suppose.

Fell in love with a quiet and confident gentleman.

Never gone for someone that has no belief and self confidence in themselves.
