I think most peoples instant reaction to this question would be NO but do you think everyone is or has been a snob about at least one thing?

I always get called a snob, especially by family members. :joker:

I don't see how I am though. I'm just quite perticular.

I can be. I'm very particular about certain things like clothing, lifestyle etc, but I know what I like and don't like so I really don;t care if people like that or not.

With films? Most definitely but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like a lot of terrible books and TV.

Most people set their own standards.
Only thing I dislike more than snobbery is inverted snobbery.

Nothing worse than members of your own family thinking you are a snob just because you have worked hard to get where you are rather than p*ssed your money away on booze etc.

fantastic post well put....inverted snobbery makes me pewk...I also hate blokes like paul ogrady constantly babbling on about working class
if you work youre working class....if you don't and youre healthy and you choose not to youre a lazy chav...if that makes me a snob so be it

im very black and white about issues like drugs too....morons take drugs. theyrea total waste of space. I also think smoking anything is the most brainless pastime ever....a pack of cancer sticks costs you £8? some go through 2 or 3 packs a day....that's £120 a week on cancer sticks plus they blow th smoke in their kids faces? not much left over for marks and spencers food then so its the cheapest grottiest microwave chicken feed and crisps, pop and chocolate for the kids.....all of which worsenes their health and affects their behaviour

but of course no one is allowed to mentiuon this for fear the criticized parents will violently attack them in front of the kids they claim to love.

As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so ****ing crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty-odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still ****ing peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they're telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill

A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

No, I'm genuinely not.. How much money or social standing somebody has doesn't interest me at all; people with goodness in their hearts and decent morals are important to me :)

agreed about morals. but in this society there is enormous pressure to stereotype the rich or remotely successful as crokked greedy barstewards which isn't always the case.... and the poor workless people as decent and in hardship. any healthy man who choses not to work is immoral. work is an essential part of my moral code

the word snob is way over used and far to all consuming. it gets mixed up with values, materialism, morals, code of conducts, standards etc etc

I'm not jealous of them. I don't like snobbery in the sense that they think they are better than you.

We have a close family friend who earns loads of money and has all the latest gadgets, three holidays a year etc and she makes sure you know.

I could be very snobby towards her and was a little.

She give me the whole, 'Oh we're going to Disney in Orlando' and I was like, 'Yeah? I've been four times, suck on that you snotty bitch'

the malnutrition and teeth decay isn't particularly alluring, notice how 95% of homeless people are men though.

Thanks for the input anyway.
