With any luck he'll get a few nominations for his shouting at Lauren and then if he goes up he'd 100% leave, no one would save him. :joker:

Oh I don't know. I think he did quite well really. He said a few things that were ill advised, but overall I think he showed himself in quite a good light.

Josy has posted a new TiBB frontpage article.

Ron is the latest housemate to be evicted from the celebrity big brother house.

http://pictures.thisisbigbrother.com/userpics/24444/EVICTED_copy~3.jpg

He faced the public vote tonight along with Charlotte, Courtney, Lauren and Louie.

Emma first spoke to the house after a vote freeze to inform Charlotte and Lauren that they had the most votes and had been saved then later on in the show she spoke to the house again to announce that Ron had received the fewest amount of votes making him the second evictee of the series.

Ron left the house to cheers from the crowd and during his interview with Emma he said he was pleased to be out and felt he had done his time.

He predicted that Mario and Abz would be in the final.

Are you happy with the results of tonight's eviction? Let us know in the forum.

I guess I'm old school - I don't care much for any of them, but thought he was the best of a bad bunch, to be honest! How anyone can find Laurence entertaining, I have no idea.

Lauren isn't even a celebrity...Ron certainly is.

..I'm pleased for his sake as much as anything else because I don't think he seemed as though he wanted to be there..I think it was the perfect result for him, he got his fee and gets to spend time with his wife in Tenerife...after having 10 years of public opinions being divided about him, I don't think that being voted out early will really bother him that much...

I never thought he seemed comfortable being there. If anything, he's been relieved of duties and has been well paid. Go well, Ron, we'll see you at the finale, if you care to show up.

I definitely wanted to see more out of him, but this was not his thing. Maybe more team activities where he could kinda coach from the side, from a lawn chair?... ;)

I noticed he was very complimentary about Charlotte. Given all the threads in here about what an appalling example she is of da yoot of today , it was nice to see a man of his generation seeing her strengths.

I liked Ron at beginning and hoped that he would prove he is not the bigot that the media made him out to be but, alas, the longer he stayed in the House the Bigot Ron began to show. What put me off him was the way he spoke to Dustin - in a manner that you would expect him to speak to one of his football players (who wasn't doing well in the first half) in the dressing room. Ron went completely down in my estimation and I was very pleased to see the back of him.

Disappointed but it was expected he would go.

He was a calming influence in the house. Thought he came across really well in his interview and on BBBOTS.

Smart guy who was lived a full successful life, with a lot of wisdom to impart.

Far more open minded, kind and fair than half the people who scream 'bigot' at him at every given opportunity.

Like i always say - far more prejudice TOWARDS Ron than there is coming FROM Ron.

Glad he got such a good exit from the crowd.

Apart from that comment about people who wear head coverings carrying bombs and thinking it was harmless... Also bear in mind he stated his No1 priority was to NOT say anything offensive and he still managed to do so. Imagine what hes like with his mates when hes not editing himself.

Heavens above the man is a dinosaur.

Who knows what their true morals are?

Sometimes we can only judge them when they are dead. Mr Savile is an extreme example.

No, Rolf Harris is an extreme example. Jimmy always had kids on his knees, and a freaky nature. I was slightly suspicious of him as a kid.

E.g. BB14........ and, actually, not all that sure about the "niceness" of the winner of that series.

We caught up with last night's evictee, Ron Atkinson, before his appearance on tonight's Big Brother's Bit On The Psych, and had a quick chat about his first day of freedom...

What have you been doing since you left the House?
Erm, last night we had a few glasses of champagne after the show, and a couple of toasted sandwiches. Today, press conferences and a photoshoot, and then got here way too early!

Have you had a chance to catch up with all your family?
Yeah..well, I haven't seen my wife yet, but I've spoken to her. I've just had lunch with some friends who live near here.

More importantly, have you had a chance to catch up on the football?
No! Not yet! Wait, well, I have, yeah. The ones I missed. Yeah.

Is there anything, or anyone, you miss about the House?
No. Hahaha! In a nutshell, nah!

So you're happy to be out?
Yeah, always happy to be out. Anyone who says they're not is kidding people! But it was, erm, yeah, there were some good times.

What was your highlight in the House?
Without a shadow of a doubt, when Bruce had his altercation with the fish!I couldn't stop laughing at that. After that I kept saying there was a new play called The Codfather, and everything had a fish connotation!

Was it Bruce that you got on with most in the House?
Oh, Bruce, he shares my sense of humour. Bruce, Vicky, and I got on with the two kids. Well, three kids, and, well, Abz isn't a kid. I got on well with Abz.

Charlotte and Mario seemed to look up to you, a bit.
They were great kids, I think. Great kids. Charlotte can be...but yeah...she's nice! It was fun. They're both good.

Who do you think will be up for eviction next?
I say Sophie. I've just got a feeling that Sophie is. One or two people have started to, maybe, get a bit frictional with her.

And finally, who do you want to win?
Mario or Abz.

Thanks, Ron!
