I hate when people say this about any HM. Its so pointless. Is Louie playing the 'gay card' ? Is Charlotte playing 'the Geordie chav card'? Is Dustin playing the 'Screech card'? Is Abz playing the 'boy band card'? and so on, I could go through every single one of them applying the same logic. Its her 'thing' all of them have a 'thing' or they wouldn't be in there.

..I hadn't noticed her mentioning it a lot but if she does then it's probably because it's a huge thing in her life, how could it not be..and there are always people who judge so she probably seeks acceptance as well...

She is always going on about it, anytime anyone is seemingly getting at her she brings that in as the reason they are or that someone doesn't like her or want to talk to her.

It is obviously a major thing in her life but she is the one who keeps drawing attention to it.
I just see her as Lauren, she annoyed me on bbbots when she was on for 2 series and now she is annoying me as a housemate in the house.
Not for that fact as to what she has gone through but because she is who she is and I find her really annoying and always wanting special attention.
She is very hard work I would guess as a housemate and I can see why she has no friends either.

Everyone must have to tread on eggshells around her in case they are perceived as being aginst her for only one reason.
Which she loves to,it seems to me anyway, highlight herself as to why she gets negatives from other people even though it is more likely her behaviour that is the turn off not what she has been through.

Her story is actually really interesting and commendable in my view,as Luke A's was too.
Not the way she uses it herself though to get at those who seem not to be able to get on with her.

No she's not and why do some people insist she's not genuine and that she's playing the victim.Is it because some people are uncomfortable with transgendered people and can't accept what we tell them about the medical reasons we are the way we are no matter how often we say it and will uses anything to try and stop a trans person winning.

It's true we are victims we do get threatened and we do get awful abuse in public, far worse than Sophie got who's made out that was a terrible argument when it was hardly anything.

I'd like to see how bad Sophie would think it was and how she would react if she got surrounded by gangs, had things thrown through her window as Lauren has, had the insults of freak,

queer and gay thrown at her, if she'd had a petrol bomb dropped through her letter box or if she was just beaten up or murdered.

All these things have happened to transgendered people.So Lauren is not playing a trans card, she will have had something thrown through her window and will have been threatened and terribly abused by many people as most transgenderd people do have to suffer these things,

so she has good reason to find it difficult to trust anyone who isn't trans.

Even many who make out they are OK with us react uncomfortably around us and talk behind our backs or give each other sly looks.

I identify with her, it's called empathy. Empathy is good.
I work in a hospital. I have tons if empathy for people very ill with familues they may leave behind, people who have dignity. Nit grown woman who go off and sulk when they are niminated, Laurzn has no empathy fir anyone!! In Lauren's world Lauren comes first. She is not a decent human being.
