Well acted. I did shed a tear.

Unlike the awful wooden performance for Nikel on Emmerdale when Gennie snuffed it.

It was really sad. They are both such great actors (Roy and Hayley). I actually thought she had died after tonight's first episode. I know people say "it's only a soap", but it depicts things that happen to people in real life every day.

Apparently they were filming in Blackpool yesterday.

It's a final end to Hayley's character though, the actress doesn't want to return, this is the only real ending they could have done for Roy and Hayley, splitting them up isn't an option, it just wouldn't be believable.

When is Hayley expected to be killed off?

I was just reading over on DS that the story will bring the "right to die" debate into it. Hayley wants to take control of when and how she dies etc. She doesn't want her life to be ruled by pain relief and other drugs. Although she doesn't want Roy to help her die he doesn't agree with her wishes and they face a lot of hurdles and decisions in the coming months. It's going to be sad, yet interesting and I'm sure very moving.

I won't be able to watch when she goes, I'll be in bits

Oh goodness! I didn't know this was happening. Roy and Hayley are an institution! I was a wreck when Jack Duckworth died and he and Vera had that lovely dance together in his dreams, I was full on crying my eyes out even though I only catch Corrie now if I'm at home and the TV's on... can only imagine how I'll be when Hayley passes away! How sad :( what's poor Roy going to do without her?!

It is just a soap but in reality cancer is still the dreaded word and I have to admit this storyline is hitting home with me,I had tears in my eyes too.

It is going to be really hard to watch the storyline go on for a few months more until Hayley goes.
Really sad and heavy storyline but compulsive viewing too.

It's a very emotional story and Corrie are very fortunate to have these two actors play out the story. Just a shame Stephanie Cole had to leave.

When is Hayley expected to be killed off?

I believe it's January.

Hopefully they will give the Croppers a lovely Christmas that Roy can take with him when she's gone.

When Hayley finally shuffles off this mortal coil, I hope Royston orders himself a lovely thai bride off tinternet.
