I made a noise that sounded a bit like a chicken being thrown into a swimming pool, jumped off my bed and watched the creepy little bastard waft under my bed.

Send help

Please

I can almost faintly hear it "prrrttt"ing across my floor, taunting me with its spindly little legs EURGH vom

Daddy Long Legs aren't scary at all :joker: They're flimsy and slow

Nathan this one is spastically throwing itself at the light on my ceiling and swooping down at me every few seconds, I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown. They're ****ing creepy, they move their legs like they're feeling the air for victims

Catch him in a glass and let him go out of the window.

That would involve going near it, and having to throw away a perfectly good glass. I couldn't possibly drink from it knowing that at one time, a devil long death had been inside it.

I've turned my light out and left my bedroom door open because the landing light is on, I'm hoping it'll be lured out of my room, but it could go for my laptop screen, which means I'll have to throw my laptop across the room and sprint out of the house

I don't understand how people aren't terrified of daddy long legs. It's the way they just splay their legs on your wall and just sit there for ages and then suddenly freak out and start speeding around the room like they're going to murder innocent children and violate the vulnerable

What are they doing when they sit on our walls? Are they sleeping? Plotting? Raping the walls to impregnate them with more horrors? I never have this problem when I'm living in my own flat because I don't ****ing LEAVE WINDOWS OPEN ALL DAY -curses my mother-

Because they're totally harmless with brains the size of a... of a... of something infinitesimally small. Not even big enough to have the sense to be frightened by a creature as big as you plotting to kill him.

Spiders - crawling, move quickly, generally look scary - I get it

daddy long lets - tiny long legs, move about 0.000034834 miles an hour, float around like fairies, can be killed in about a second - I still don't get it lol

Try aversion therapy... Look at a few google images of flies, then gifs of flies and then go outside and look at flies?
There, you're cured... That'll be £1'000 please.

Hey .... you know those spiders that look like daddy long legs? they are the most poisonous in the UK, but the fangs are so teeny tiny and they have so little venom that they are harmless to humans.
Love you.

They are going to evolve eventually and when they do, and they're finally able to unleash their poison on humans, I'll be triumphantly locked inside a windowless room, bumping this thread and posting pictures of antidotes to mock Vicky who at this point is sadly on her death bed after being bitten by a daddy long legs and mugged by a vicious gang of them on her way home from the hospital

Spiders you can keep an eye on them. They have their corner, you have yours, it's cool, you can live in harmony with them. I still find them creepy as **** but they generally stick to one spot and they get rid of most of the other insects that terrorise me so you've gotta respect that really. Moths, it depends, they're a bit scary if they start speeding round your room but they're quite good at finding their way back out again, I find.

zee, when you are sleeping a spider is going to crawl inside your ear and make a nest.

I hope your day is a bit rubbish and you get blisters on the backs of your ankles from an awkward pair of shoes today, Sheriff :bawling:

Actually for some reason,I really dislike Daddy long legs too, it is the way they appear to fly straight at you with their dangling legs.
They also make a rather irritating noise as they hit walls which makes it worse for me.
I fifnd them really creepy, I think the insect world is a cold and horrible one anyway,I am just glad the are in the main so small.

I can tolerate most things though but if a daddy long legs is anywhere near me indoors, I almost freeze when I see them and someone has to get it out for me or deal with it.
I do literally panic.

This is exactly it! It's their movements that creep me out the most. I always yelp in surprise if one appears in my room and usually run out of the room if it starts wafting about the place... my dad got rid of the one last night, he was laughing hysterically at me shuddering in fear when he had it in his hands
