I doubt she denied cause she thought she'd get away with it, it was just natural instinct because Carol embarrassed her.

How did she embarrass her? She asked "have you been in the loo?"

She COULD have said "Why didn't you flush the toilet?"
Now that WOULD be embarrassing!

Carol embarrassed Lauren in front of Mario, so that forced the lie.

Vicky.

I actually think Carol was wrong for drawing attention to something like that tbh. I would have just flushed it..its hardly going to jump out of the loo and bite her or something

If it became a habit I would say something though. But a one off, could have been an accident, and it IS embarassing.

See I think it could possibly be a habit because a lot of housemates have commented on her hygiene...otherwise why would Carol have automatically mentioned Laurens name rather than asking both of them..

Because with only 3 of them in there, they will know who last used the loo I assumed

I guess thats a good point about the housemates commenting, though I thought that was more about leaving knickers lying round and stuff. I guess it could be the loo thing too

Actualy, come to think of it, wasnt there a mystery log leaver a few days back? I'm sure people on here automatically blamed charlotte (though I dont remember seeing it) :suspect:

Yeah someone left poo on the toilet seat or something

I don't know maybe Lauren isn't guilty of not flushing all the time but since I heard about her hanging dirty knickers on door handles it just makes me think she's very unhygienic and I saw someone else say she mentioned not flushing at night when she's at home.

However, it should be an automatic thing to flush the loo everytime you use it anyway so Lauren should know better.

Lauren acts and behaves like a small child and I think that's a condition she has

I believe she is probably hen peck all her life so it comes natural to deny everything. You can see how she quickly owns up to the allegation after a few more seconds and again gives a look like a child would do.

Of course I could be talking a load of BS, cos I ain't no expert in this behaviour.

This pretty much confirms that Lauren was the so-called 'poogate' culprit. She clearly has a problem adhering to correct and polite waste disposal etiquette and techniques, if she has been taught them at all. It's one thing being 'eccentric', it's another thing entirely to jeopardize public health

I suspected she was responsible for leaving a poo on the toilet seat all along, but was too polite to mention it

Carol did what most people would do...I thought she was diplomatic. If Lauren was embarrassed...she should be. Disgusting. Lauren seems to have been pampered rotten...unless she has people adoring her and giving her compliments she gets upset. Carole can laugh at herself and is comfortable in her own skin...Lauren is just an untidy unhygenic person who struggles with herself. She is spoilt but I have seen a bitchy person giving critical comments about previous housemates....she isnt as vulnerable as she makes out...at every opportunity she looks for the sympathy vote...she is a walking hypocrite and complete disaster!!!

I had this impression of Lauren too, every time I saw her on BOTS she always appeared very rude and sometimes downright nasty.

Since going into the house I've seen a different side. Maybe she's had a pretty bad upbringing, maybe she had words like 'freak' 'weirdo' thrown at her from all directions, this rude and harsh exterior she displayed on BOTS could be her way of dealing with others. Not that I'm making excuses for Lauren, but you never really know why some people act/behave like they do.

Look how she dresses, how she applies her makeup, how quickly she denies things.

Her accusing Abz & Louie over voting her is a telling sign that she lacks some form of attention.

It was disgusting.

You could hear in Carol's tired voice, this clearly wasn't the first time Lauren had been dirty and inconsiderate in the house. It's the main reason people nominate Lauren after all.

I don't much like Carol in there so far, but i must say she was being very fair about it and didn't make a drama like she could have done. She was well within her rights to. It was revolting and thoughtless of Lauren.

Was Lauren embarrassed ? I hope so. She should be. Maybe a bit of embarrassment will help her change her behaviour and open her eyes to making a bit more effort for the sake of other HMs.

Seeing as she gets so upset when people nominate her, it would do her good to wake up to her habits and how they affect the people around her. Maybe then they wouldn't be so keen to nominate her out of the house.

She didn't even say sorry either ! Just tried turning it round as if SHE was the victim of Carol who merely pointed it out! No wonder Mario ignored her.

Liked Lauren at first, but i'm now beginning to find her quite selfish i'm afraid.

she should stop bullying lauren, she should stop hogging the headset in the prison, she should stop moaning about everything , she should stop mocking sophies plastic surgery, she should stop screaming in the bedroom to deliberately keep people awake all night, she should also stop back stabbing lying and stirring then contradicting herself.

I don't think its a hanging offence not flushing the toilet, a quite word in her ear would have done the trick.

In fairness it was only Mario in the room, and someone being sick is a totally different thing to someone not flushing the loo (how many times is someone likely to throw up), who knows how many times Lauren has done this and maybe the quiet word in the ear hasn't worked. I don't see the big deal really, Carol has nominated her for being unhygienic so its likely its not the first time.

Lord Of The Garden

true. but she could easily have taken her aside instead of deliberately humiliating her

Carol didn't humiliate Lauren. She did that to herself.

Lauren humiliated herself in 3 ways last night.

1. Not flushing after using the toilet in the first place
2. Lying and denying it when Carol asked her if she'd used it
3. Not apologising about it like an adult, but instead moaning to Mario about Carol when she was out of the room, like a 10 year old child moaning about their mum.

Lauren's bad habits are the main reason people nominate her. She knows that already as she as spoken about needing to change her ways in the house. She knows now that she must clean up after herself, but especially when using a toilet she shares with the others. They are not all family members, nor are they children, they are all adults and relative strangers to each other. She may be used to people clearing up after her at home, but she is not at home. She needs to wake up to that fact.

Sure it could have been a simple mistake, as we all forget from time to time.

But if anyone else in that house had made the same mistake they would have apologised there and then, not denied it and that would be that.

Lauren didn't apologise, she just acted like a child. She tried denying it like a child. Then sulked about it like a child.

She clearly needs these things pointed out or how else will she learn to change? This strikes me as something her parents failed to do with her 30 years ago.

Nonsense. Carol deliberately tried to humiliate her.
If she had flushed it once and some was left big deal flush it.
if not flushed at all, big deal flush it
if poo on the seat ok big deal but pull lauren aside quietly not humiliate her
its the way carol always tries to bully and embarrass people , as well as having no empathy for anyones feelings whether its about this or mocking someones plastic surgery or deprivating older housemates of sleep, or shouting berping farting ....the worse thing is she is also a total hypocrite slates people and then denies it, moans about things like celebrities moaning and that's all she does 24 hours a day

I'm no fan of Carol. I think the way she mocks Sophie is quite horrible. I also think Carol enjoys bitching etc.

However she took no such pleasure in pointing this out to Lauren yesterday, if anything she was clearly disgusted and rightly so.

Might not be a good idea to go on a game show then. Especially if she expects the HMs around her to automatically take the place of her carers back home - without prior explanation or warning to the HMs and without their consent.

It's too much to just expect it of them.

It could be good to tell people about Dyspraxia. But she didn't. At least teach people about it, and help the cause.

If that's what she suffers from then it would be a good opportunity to raise awareness for sure.

If she does suffer from it and it impairs her daily routine to the point of affecting others, then either she and her carers/family or Big Brother have a duty to inform the HMs and obtain their consent before she entered and not just assume that HMs would intuitively take over the caring roles that Lauren is used to on the outside world without prior warning.

BB have known her well for 10 years and they do not take HM's illness lightly at the best of times, so i doubt they would have put her in there if they believed her to be unfit to take part.

So it's one of 2 things.
Either they know she has Dyspraxia and Lauren, her carers and Big Brother have all got it wrong and overlooked her needs in the house and just expected the other HMs to take a caring role without warning or preparation (which seems highly unlikely).

Or she doesn't have Dyspraxia but has similar characteristics, being a bit sloppy, careless etc.
That seems more likely to me but i don't know enough to be sure.

None of us would know the full picture unless you were part of Lauren's family/carers or the BB production team.

I thought Carol was awful, she went all out to embarrass Lauren, she could quite easily have taken Lauren aside discreetly and asked her next time to make sure she flushes the toilet. There really was no need to embarrass her like that, the rotten cow. If it had been me that followed Lauren in, of course it wouldn't have been very pleasant, but I would have flushed it then taken her aside. I really felt for Lauren. I don't for one minute think Lauren did that on purpose.

I actually laughed at her face when carol asked her if she had been to the toilet.. She said no, then looked at mario with a really mischievous look before covering her face in embarrassment. Hahaha.. I can't help liking her

I posted a link the other day about Dyspraxia and it seems Lauren does display a lot of the 'symptoms' but like you say, only her support team knows whether she does or doesn't have it.

I don't think having dyspraxia should actually stop anyone going on BB but I do think perhaps if she does have the condition the other housemates should have been made aware because they do tend to make fun of her, with her sloppyness, her spilling tea/drinks/ her falling over etc and if they were aware they may have a little empathy with her.

My son has it, it's an impairment of fine (writing) or gross ( falling over) motor skills.

However the learned behaviours of toileting don't affect him, also by 35 you would have thought someone so intelligent could have devised rituals to help cope with personal hygiene issues.

Poor Carol didn't go into the house to clean up after 35 yr olds who can't use a toilet properly. She did the right thing by being being sensitive and asking Lauren politely to clean up her own poo. I'm surprised she kept her cool when Lauren tried to deny being responsible.

In fact, all the housemates have bent over backwards to accommodate Lauren's impairments. Vicky even picked up a piece of Lauren's poo and flushed it away when Lauren 'forgot' last time and left one on the seat.

I just wish Lauren could behave with grace and show some gratitude to these strangers who have been so sensitive her gross behaviour, filthy habits, selfish attitude and general neediness

There really is no excuse for soiling the house so regularly. If nothing else, it's a health hazard

An amusing and disgusting point.

What's also clear is that Lauren probably neglects (or 'forgets') to clean herself properly after using the toilet, i.e. she doesn't wipe her bum. If she's fully clothed and at home then that's a problem for her and her carers, but if she's wearing a thong and sharing a house with strangers then there's a very real danger of disease being spread.

Good job that Carol has sensitively kept Lauren from food preparation areas

You have no evidence it was Lauren. Charlotte is another one whose personal hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. But because she's favourite to win nobody says anything. Charlotte cold take a dump on her bed and people would cheer her for it. :joker:

Now you're being silly. Lauren forgets to flush once and now she does't wipe properly? Stop with the unfunded accusations! :nono:

There's plenty of evidence it was Lauren. She has a well-documented track record of leaving poo around the house and denying it. Who else would it be? The other housemates are well-rounded, socially competent, toilet-trained adults

And I don't think you can compare Charlotte's bedwetting with Lauren's behaviour. Youngsters get drunk and inadvertantly wet the bed all the time. It's not news. A 35 year old going for a poo, missing the bowl, and leaving minor celebrities to clean it up doesn't happen all the time and is a billion light years from wetting the bed

It wasn't Lauren. For me it was Charlotte. And Charlotte wetted the bed on purpose. That was no accident.
