With the show premiering next week, I'd figured I'd open the Audition thread.

Show is starting with a one hour launch on Wednesday 8/7c and a two hour ep on Thursday 8/7c.

Usually it's the other way around. I'm excited.

Looking forward to it.. really liked last series until David/Lyric 145/Jennel and Beatrice all got eliminated early on :sad: CeCe was never going to really go far, but she was still fantastic <3.

But yeah, I've seen a few spoilers, and there are a few acts I like, so we'll see how it goes.

Bumping this to remind people it's starts 8/7c US time. (The reason why it's one hour is because of the Masterchef finale.)

Wow, it was like a completely new show in a good way.

First instead of throwing the text right at you, they showed up in multiple colors.

Second, they decided to color code the catergories (Boys Blue, Girls Pink, Overs Yellow, Groups Green.) this was apparent in the way they showed the act's names as they were shown at the bottom of the screen (also color coded with the category they were in along with hometown, age and job) instead of the near the act.

Third, It's like the show has rebooted itself in a good way. Oh and Mario is narrating but there's still a little bit of the documentary style they used before.

The show still got 6 million viewers but it jumped up to 6.8 million but it still got 2.2 in the demo.

This show is relying on word of mouth and hopefully it shows even more next week.

A new ad has shown up for the next week, Wednesday will be the last of the auditions and Thursday will be Cutting 100+ acts overall down to 10 per category and who has what category.

The Next week after will a new middle round replacing Bootcamp and JH called the 4 Chair Challenge, where each act will perform, if the mentor likes them they'll take a seat, if not the act will be eliminated. If all 4 seats are taken and the mentor wants to keep an act that has just performed, then the mentor must eliminate someone from the 4 seats.

Oh, last week the show only got 6.4 million. This week with it up against Survivor and Revolution. It got 7.4 Highest viewings so far this season.

yeah, 10 acts battling for 4 spots, We'll find out tonight who's through. (The acts will think they'll be experiencing Bootcamp too by the way.)

The US version will be different, the set looks intense and it's in a LA area Coliseum.

The show will be airing the 4 chair challenge for the next two weeks and then take a two week break for the Baseball World Series coverage (Show kept getting preempted for Baseball, so they decided not to bother with that this year) First Live is on Oct 29th, Top 16 with a results show on Oct 30th, Wonder if they'll be having the judges make the eliminations or leave it up to America (Please be America)

Lillie was so amazing last night:love: Rachel was awful and :laugh: at Lori throwing shade at her excuses. It just seemed like the first four acts to go would get a chair no matter how bad they were, I didn't like that. Kelly and Demi knew that there were better acts that were going to come up, but they didn't want to have to send them home face to face.

I really couldn't tell if the crowd were booing the act they didn't want taken out of a chair or the act that they wanted out of a chair, because they'd boo somebody and then cheer them. And whenever a switch needed to happen, the camera would span to the booing crowd, and there would be lots of people shaking their head no.

Well, Rion is now probably the HEAVY favorite to win, better hope Top 16 is a judges cut in 3 weeks or else she'll win (barring a scandal where she lied about something or gets a BAD case of Bronchitis.)

The show finished 2nd last night behind Big Bang Theory which it was up against in the US.

I'm starting to get very confident that XFUS gets a 4th cycle. Hopefully if it does, Des Moines is one of the venues because I so wanna try out for the show.

Surprised by the love of Ellona here, especially by Dagger since she was a part of inTENsity two years ago (Albeit the only really good member, I couldn't remember how Arin was in Season 1)

I feel sorry for Rachel, kinda undeserved hate from the audience, it was recorded before Auditions week 2 were shown so.

I'm liking this four chair challenge. I'm so pleased for Danie Geimer because she's my favourite and her voice is beautiful.

I was pissed off with the way the judges treated Primrose. How can Simon sit there and judge somebody's attitude when he's basically taunting her with the opportunity of a lifetime. Fair enough, she made a mistake and could've chose a better song, but I honestly don't think it's all down to her.

It's fairly obvious that Kelly and Demi have preconceived judgements.

I liked Mahut in InTENsity as well lolol, she can audition and make live shows next year, I'd just love it if every season a new member of Intensity re-auditioned and made live shows now :laugh:

I probably hated the fact they were a little cheesy and there was too many of them so there weren't an act you could relate to. I don't really remember series 1 much bar the Rachel Crow breakdown and liking Josh Krajcik a lot.

I only really like Rachel Potter's because of her attitude, until her Four Chair Challenge performance. Before that her voice just struck me as whiney. I felt really bad for Primrose since her first audition was so good.

I feel awful saying this, but I really don't want Rion to win. And I know she's thirteen, so I probably should say this, but she's kind of annoying. Like one of those people who always acts happy, but not like naturally happy. Like she forces herself to be happy. That's probably not as bad as I made it seem.

I do like Rion's voice but I feel like she's one dimensional compared to Rachel.

Also If it's a judges cut at Top 16, I wouldn't be shocked if Jeff Gutt is eliminated if Rachel isn't. Because I'm sure she's the favorite to leave out of the overs. Because he hasn't really proved he's special compared to season 2 and I know understand why he got cut other than being a WGWG

(Now they could just start double eliminating at Top 16, could be possible since public doesn't like the judges cut game that's been played the last two seasons)

I like that Paulina was taking it seriously and not just filling her chairs, but her final four definitely wasn't the four I wanted through. I really like the diversity within the other three categories though.

Next Week if there is no World Series Game 7, there will be a special meet the Top 12 show. (I imagine it'll be a recap show with a bit of unseen footage of the Top 12)

There will be no results show for the Top 16, which is on a Tuesday. So the judges cuts will happen on that show.

Given how everything has been changed up for the 3rd season, I'm kinda expecting a brand new set. I think it might look reminiscent to XF5UK for some reason.

:( I kind of expected her to go just because of Demi's love for Khaya, Simon's love for Ellona, and America's inevitable love for Rion. Yeah i think she was leading the poll when she was eliminated, only by one percent, but still. I didn't expect her to lead it though. An Ellona, Danie, Khaya girls category would have been amazing. I'll just have to root for Ellona now.

And yeah that is a dissappointment. Idol has a similar rule that if you make the semis/sudden death round you can't audition again (Except I think they said that the semifinalists from last year can audition again)

In My opinion they've haven't faced the public vote so I think they should be allowed to try again next year. (IF there is a next year, the liveshow ratings are horrid this year thanks to the baseball hiatus the show went on) (And if the show does get cancelled, don't worry, After two or three years ABC will pick it up or something to fight the Voice, because I think Idol is on it's last legs as well)

Regarding how they will eliminate this week, I assume that they'll probably autoeliminate 13th at the top of the show and let them perform a song. And then on thursday They'll eliminate two more the usual way.

Carlos going home last night was the right decision. His only good performance was his save me song last Thursday, and even that wasn't that great. Sweet Suspense:( That was a shock. And now Rachel was another good decision, probably should have been somebody else, but her elimination was fair enough. Kind of wanted Carlito to go, but Kelly and Simon's faces when he was called first made it worth it. So two good results and one bad one.

Most of those songs weren't Big Band in the slightest. Restless Road and Rion were awful. Alex & Sierra, Josh, Ellona, Lillie, Jeff and even Carlito did great. That final face off or whateva was a horrible idea, some of them got stuck with such boring parts of the song, while others got great parts.

Also Regarding the autoelimination, If this show comes back for a fourth season (Which I see happening) Move it to the summer. The Double eliminations this year have been mainly unexpected boots with Sweet Suspense, Khaya, Lillie, Ellona. Either let all B3 acts do the singoff (VTS out of the three) or move it to the summer (Because I would love a longer season)

Hopefully this actually happens but Sony wants Alex and Sierra to have enough songs for a EP in Feb according to Sierra. That's insanely quick for an XFUS act.

I imagine we'll get our first single in Feb as well.
