Has anyone been watching Eastenders the last couple of days with Jamie getting knocked over?!
Its so depressing, with Martin and Sonia etc - good acting but what a depressing storyline around Christmas time.:bawling:

I'm not watching Eastenders, I'm watching Blind Date with TPT and Alex Sibley.
Alex's date is called Kaz.
Poor Jamie :bawling::bawling::bawling:
How sad was that but on the bright side i loved the Slaters reaction when they heard the gospal group singing :laugh:

Yep, it was really sad, it cut from Billy & Little Mo exchanging rings, to Jamie putting Ethels ring on Sonia's finger, then Billy & Mo Kissing in the church to Sonia kissing Jamie on his deathbed and during all these scenes we had the gospel choir singing a lovely slow, acapella version of stand by me!
It was the song that did it for me, it was very atmospheric!

Didn't Kaz go away a day or two ago?

Eastenders- what a tear jerker? I cant remember me crying me so much!
I only watched the first one of the Christmas special and I was floodin it so god knows what Im gonna be like when I see the second episode! So depressing but what an episode! Eastend acting at its best:bawling:

:wavey:
I'm back!
Did I look fat on the TV?
Only kidding. Sadly it wasn't me on the date with Alex, as those who saw the real 'me' at the Convention will confirm!
Eastenders was definitely a tearjerker on Xmas Day - how embarassing it was sitting in a room full of people with tears streaming down my face, muttering to myself 'for god's sake, it's only a TV programme!'

Why does someone always have to die on the soaps at christmas?
It's as if the TV companies think we won't watch unless there's a tear-jerker!!!!!
I'd rather watch a comedy!

Mr. Boris does not like Easties so I have to tape it and watch when he is out....not always !I have just caught up with the Christmas episodes but missed the...oh , not sure which one now. It did not make any difference. 'They' drag it all out so much that the 1st and last 5 mins of any episode will probably be enough to keep any one in touch. Yet STILL I watch it - every [almost] episode !
What sad person I am to enjoy such misserable stuff. Please make it happy soon. I am sure MORE people would watch.

Am I boring you all ????:spin2:

I must be the only person here that don't like the show!!!
I thought it was abit poor thinking on the show's part to have another Mitchell being killed off following a car accident in less then 5 years, ain't they ever heard or re-using old scripts???
I was made to watch it on Xmas day with everyone else and think the whole episode was far too depressing for Christmas day. And the bit where he died didnt even bring a lump to my throat.
I myself think Libby in Neighbours done a better performance when Drew died then what Sonia has!!!!! I'm gonna get ridiculed for that comment now since most ppl dont think very dondly of the show since its an import!!!!

I wonder if I'm the only person on TiBB who has never watched Eastenders.

I haven't watched Eastenders for about 10 years.
And I've never watched Coronation Street. Ever.
On 'I Love 1986' last night they showed Neighbours with Kylie and Jason. I used to watch that when they were in it.

Me too, James. I also used to watch Emmerdale Farm many years ago when Jack & Joe's old grandad was alive. I remember him sitting in his rocking chair by the fire.
I have watched Coronation Street in the past and Brookside in the very early days but I've never, ever watched Eastenders. Now I don't watch any of the "soaps" at all.

I used to love eastenders but i dont really like it much anymore. I have to keep watching it as all my family do but some of the storylines are just stupid. For example the whole antony, zoe, kat thing is getting on my nerves.

I quite agree and yet I STILL watch it !!! Just no hope at all .
I do watch most of the soaps, but don't really follow any of them that much. At the moment I am far more into Corrie than Eastenders.
