Nothing. It is no longer and summer and far away from Snow/Christmas Spirit etc. Just a dull time of the year really......thank the lord for GTA.

Garden turns into hell !

Dogs trampling bright orange soil all over floors !

Heating and lighting prices are astronomical !

Hate getting out of bed in the dark

Afternoons dark & lights on Uggh

Everythings damp

Getting washing dry is a nightmare !

Almost everyones miserable

and we're all dreading Christmas - unless we live with mummy and daddy who do everything for us ...

Is that enough ? I could go on .....

Autumn, my very most favourite season of the year.

I was born in Autumn...so have a birthday to look forward to.

I gave birth to my firstborn in Autumn:hugesmile:

It starts cooling down and I miraculously get a bit more energy.

Cosy days an even cosier evenings, lovely flickering flame fires.

It means the glorious Christmas season is not far off.

All those beautiful colours on the trees.

I love everything about autumn it's just the best time of year. Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness and all that. And I get to put away the sandals and wear my boots. Oh, and not having to cut the grass every bloody week doesn't exactly suck.

it's probably a weird observation but I love the smell of autumn... everything's getting old and rotting and there're a lot of leaves... I can't quite explain it.

I also used to like going back to school with loads of new stationery... and then there's Halloween of course. And Bonfire night... I like the transition between too hot and too cold, too.

The way some people adore the sun and love to bathe beneath it's rays, that's how I feel about rain. Going for a walk on a drizzly day replenishes my soul, or strolling on a beach during a downpour, it's exhilarating and everything feels more primal and alive.

I also love the leaves as they change and fall, and even that damp smell they get after a while.

Then there's halloween, I seldom go out to parties or that, but I delight in the atmosphere and watching a couple of horrors (also the pretty little liars ep :love:)

Autumn clothes, summer wear is something I tolerate, I much prefer feeling more snugly and protected.

Lastly the cold temp.

Someone that loves autumn for the same reasons I do. How can so many of you hate it?

I love those crisp evening, when you go for a walk and are wrapped up warm, with the chill just hitting your face, the smell of bonfire in the air, and that eerie quiet that comes with the early twilight as the sun has just set but has left a spectacular array of colours washed in the sky.

I also love kicking the piles of leaves that have fallen. :hugesmile:
