Yet she didn't wait more than a few seconds before talking about farting again.
But don't worry...
Emma says she a lovely lady so it must be true !
What has she learnt in there ?
Probably that you can get away with anything !
As Emma said to Courtney "Thanks for your body" Charlotte - you really shouldn't have bothered.
A piss poor winner for a piss poor series.

If the worst you can think of to criticise her is to say she talks about farting then she is doing quite well.
There are grown adults who have made a very good living out of toilet humour (no pun intended). See Rik Mayall, Ade Edmondson.

She isn't doing that as a career, she is not a successful writer/actor/comedian/winner of celeb masterchef is she though?
She is just a northern lass... you could walk into a nightclub in any town and find 50 lasses just like her.
As parent primary socialisation is teaching your child what is and is not socially acceptable. This woman flies in the face of all that, I fail to see the positive in anything she does or says and god knows I've tried.

It's not her fault that the modern World as no concept of whats entertainment anymore, and believe watching a group of Geordies have a night out, come home and have a kebab, then pass out mindlessly pis*ed, is entertainment.
Whilst Rik and Ade were writers and performers, who put in lots of hours writing and rehearsing, to put on a show, I couldn't do that, and many people couldn't, but I and millions of people could go on the town and have a kebab.

So, unless you act like Charlotte you're a stereotype?

Never said that at all, but there are stereotypes that exist where women aren't supposed to be sexually promiscuous or else they're a 'slut' (but it's perfectly acceptable for men to be and they're 'suchaladmate' if they do), even worse they get called this by women themselves, and if a woman gets trollied she's not very 'ladylike' (LOL that's a stereotype in itself). I could go on but basically the fact she destroys these stereotypes and doesn't give a ****** is good enough for me
Not all women have to act like Charlotte, it's a personal preference and it doesn't matter either way. The problem is when people are judged for acting the way Charlotte does (especially when men are celebrated for the same behaviour) and berated for doing so, when really...you know...live and let live and all that.
Also 'chav' is a (damaging and mightily overinclusive might I add) stereotype just so you know.
Here's a fact for you jack.. Plenty of women enjoy a good shag and going out and getting ****faced... However most don't feel the need to shout their mouths off about it for a bit of attention.
1) She's paid to run her mouth about it on a scripted reality TV show and play a character, she will have felt the need to live up to parts of that 'character' on this show too. It's exaggerated

We go out, drink a LOT, dance, sing, laugh and generally make complete arses of ourselves, but we all know in which company it's acceptable to act like this.. I would never swear in front of other folks parents, I would get completely wankered at a family wedding, I don't fart in front of ANYONE, I act polite and mannerable in new strange company.... This isn't confirming to gender stereotypes, it's called having a bit of ****ing decorum!

See your point.
But don't you find it a bit odd that BB seem to frown upon supposed "flirting" done by certain women on the show (and thanked for their bodies in a sterotypical type of way) yet Charlotte ends up the winner and a "lovely person" ?
You mean like how Courtney gets judged for a bit of innocent finger play ?
Or Hazel's non-sexual encounter ?
Aren't you just a bit suprised BB have nothing to say about Chalottes chosen lifestyle ?
I can't disagree with any of that, there's definitely points to be raised from what you've just said. That doesn't negate the bile spouted at Charlotte though

I don't know where you've seen her swearing in front of other people's parents? Bit unfair to make an assumption like that based upon an exaggerated character role she plays and is paid for in a scripted reality show
I wouldn't fart in front of anyone because it's embarrassing to me, but I certainly don't care if anyone else does...I have much bigger issues to be worrying about.
I also don't see why you don't think she's polite either? She came across as a pretty nice person to me in the house beyond all the swearing and drinking...

Yes, it is a stereotype. One she hasn't proven wrong.

It's scripted, but it's not cast like other actual acting roles. They have to start somewhere with the basis of their antics, her own behaviour will have got her on Geordie Shore. They liked it, hired her and exploited the type of person she is.

This thread is discussing Charlotte's behaviour, stereotypes, acceptability etc. There is moaning going on in places on the forum but trying to shut a sensible discussion down in this thread with "stop moaning" is ridiculous. If you don't want to discuss then leave the thread.

Well I see your point to some extent.
If there's any blame to be had (which we're debating), I certainly think it's not all at Charlotte's door.
If the show didn't want her on she wouldn't have gone on. (and they knew what she was like)
As far as I can gather Geordie Shore didn't arise from Charlotte, she was selected to be part of it ?
So why do people who blame Charlotte not blame the TV program too ?
Cos she's an easier target...
If it wasn't her I guess it would be someone else.
Think you're wrong to make out she's a rebel or on some kind of feminist mission though - she offered a half hearted apology tonight.

Jack, I don't think we're going to agree on this tbh :hmph:
But put it this way (and I know you will DEFINITELY get this once you have kids if your own) my daughter will never ever grow up to be like Charlotte. Ill spend every day of the rest of her childhood making sure she matures with manners, modesty and morals.

omg...
Yes she does. Like, yes.
It's a scripted reality show. TOWIE, MIC and Geordie Shore are all the same (hence why I don't watch them). The people are casted and presented to the audience as 'themselves' but they are told by the directors to exaggerate certain aspects of their personality and effectively take on a persona as if it were a soap opera, so Mario is the 'nasty love rat' on TOWIE yet in the house most people seem to agree that he appears to be a pretty decent guy, no? The casts on these shows are paid and told to do certain things, so often certain arguments and relationship scenes will be set up and they'll be given directions as to how to play the scene out
The entire point of Geordie Shore is to watch them going out on the hunt for sex and to get battered, it's not a show for everyone (and not for me) but that IS the purpose of the show, so all of the cast members are given directions that that is what they want...
I'm not saying off-camera she talks like someone from Chelsea and doesn't drink but it is an exaggerated character, anyone that seriously believes she goes around in her every day life pissing on the street whilst out shopping and talking about dildoing herself with Betty on the checkout has seriously got the wrong idea

I don't pay her attention. I watched CBB because I am a BB fan. Now I'm discussing what I've watched. I can't very well form an opinion on her without having watched first can I?
But rest assured I'm not going to be watching Geordie Shore again anytime in my lifetime.

Not what I was saying at all, there's no way it's a conscious cause of course not...but I do respect (whereas the majority berate) girls that refuse to adhere to these sexist stereotypes that they must not sleep around and they must not get smashed but it's perfectly alright for men to do so, I know one girl like it and she gets so much hate but God love her she does what she wants with HER life and I admire her <3

What's with the omg?
She was picked for the show for being charlotte, that is her she had no scriptwriter in BB telling her to pee the bed did she?
I don't feel this complex mix of petulant child, rebellious teenager and socially retarded adult is entertaining or someone who deserved to be the winner of BB. That is my opinion.

I'm not just talking about who she has sex with.. I agree that as long as I've done my bit and been open about contraception and disease and pregnancy, there ain't much I can do about who she chooses to sleep with.. I'm talking about her distasteful behaviour in general. Lets face it, we all know a loud mouthed, attention seeking cow... And usually they're not really that popular.. Just irritating

That's kind of half the problem with Charlotte.
Most people do things/having things happen behind closed doors, but most people don't want to know about it especially when it comes to your personal hygiene/toilet habits.

I don't believe Charlotte even wet the bed, I think Lauren was a mole all along, that is why BB saved her in evictions and basically they gave her tasks like forcing poor Carol to drink until she became incapable and she quite obviously poured water into Charlottes bad while she was sleeping to try and embarrass innocent Charlotte.

As a parent she is the epitome of what we seek to avoid our children becoming, male or female.
Primary socialisation ensures children from the off leave unsavoury behaviours behind, we encourage positive behaviour that will see them function in the adult world successfully......
Something I feel went very wrong in charlottes case, at 23 she is starting to accept that I think.

Glad you said that cos your friend shouldn't be hated if she is.
Thing is, how many impressionable young girls who idolize Geordie Shore might not be as careful or get pregnant ?
We can only guess, maybe no-ones affected at all.
But perhaps that's where some of the concern is coming from.
It's not a question of stopping fun for the sake of it, I'm sorry to hear about your friend if she doesn't deserve it.
But sure you appreciate no-one wants to see impressionable young girls (or even boys) lives ruined.
If people are saying it's ok for boys to be irresponsible then I'd disagree with them.
Put it this way...
If you had a daughter, she pissed the bed and said it was great would you really applaud her for breaking down "sexist gender stereotypes' ?
I know that's not your point but it's easy to give something the green light across the board when you're not affected by the possible consequences of another persons choices.
