Chantelle only won because she had the gimmick of not being a celeb and it was fresh and a new idea..

Her romance with Preston was **** and her only good moment was her 'I Want It All' performance.

mhm, and it was nothing to do with the fact that 2 of the finalists were racist bullies (or, even worse, sheep of racist bullies) and the other 3 were boring nice-nice people (Dirk, Jermaine and Ian)

YAY what a good result! The amazing thing about Shilpa that she's an emotional basket case who would've been the nomination scapegoat under any other circumstances because she's the amazing combo of stunningly beautiful and socially maladjusted. Wanting to make amends with Jade by making her wear plastic fairy wings is always going to be hilarious. Handling bullying with that much grace is just a bonus.

Also lol @ Chanelle fans saying someone won under sympathy when she is the epitome of a gimmick winner. And nobody has yet to enlighten me on what Julian ever did so yeah go Shilpa.

I wouldn't call myself a 'fan' of Chantelle, none of these three deserve this title, and I'm not stupid enough to pretend she won for any other reason than being a non-celebrity, I mean that goes without saying...but to deny Shilpa's win had a lot, if not everything to do with the bullying she endured is just denying the obvious. Had the race row not occurred is it really possible that some Bollywood actress was going to win a show that at the time had around 6m viewers? I don't think so, Jo, Leo, Dirk and Ian were/would have been the favourites going in and to be quite honest had she not been so disgusting as to flip the public perception of her, I reckon Jade would have stood a chance too. Shilpa was a rank outsider until it all started up, I think it's obvious why she ended up winning

It's difficult for me to oppose her win on a moral standpoint cause after everything she went through she did deserve it and CBB5 barely had any decent housemates anyway but is she the best celebrity winner? Definitely not

I never denied that that's why Shilpa won. Like I said, under any other circumstances she would've been the frequent nominee and probably evicted halfway through. All I'm saying is that there was a lot more to Shilpa once you get past race row and it just contributed to making her a great HM. You can never go wrong with girls who are stunningly beautiful yet socially invalid, it's precisely why Sam Heuston is arguably the most forgotten gem of BB6. So yes, Shilpa is my favorite CBB winner but for far more reasons than just being the victim of racist bullying, that was just an added bonus.
