View Full Version : What made you first post on TiBB forum off-season...
..other than the BB section, what were your first impressions of TiBB and what made you become a 'regular' after the season had finished..?...
I don't actually remember because it was so long ago and in my age I have lost my memory

Someone made a thread during BB asking people were staying around, I answered yes, so thought it would be rude to not post.
Took me ages though to post first and then I kept checking to see if anyone had replied or commented....I'm so sad!!
Can remember during BB11 I started talking to Claymores cos I recognised his American football name/avatar and he encouraged me to stick around for off season, I thanked him by being part of the Mod team that has kept him banned most of the last two years
The forum was a pretty bad place at times late 2010 though, despite what people sometimes say about now it felt a lot more cliquey and bitchy back then, kept intending to leave but never ended up doing so

..was it late 2010 you became a mod or a bit later...you used to be really active in serious debates, but you're not so much any more...that's not a criticism btw, just an observation...
Not till mid 2011 really, just before BB12 started, so I luckily avoided being a Mod for the major 2010 dramas. Yeah I probably am less active in SD, used to like it as a place to post which wasn't so riddled with personal conflicts and bickering etc. and I used to also enjoy getting involved in long debates but find it a bit exhausting now lol

..I think for me it's not always so good with the news stories as it was when it was just debates..there just seems to be quite a lot I guess and a lot very 'samey'...I don't remember the dramas of 2010 though, I think I must sleep my way through forum times quite a bit...but actually Ian was one of the first people to talk to me as well...I think it was him, Joe..(Inone) and Niamh....

Yeah it can get a bit repetitive which is another factor, still enjoy the section when there's a topic that catches my interest but that doesn't happen as often atm

As a rule serious debates do usually involve people who are on different sides of the fence as it were ... It's not personal that's just how it goes.
I had no idea you were such a sensitive little soul MTVN.
I stuck around specifically for serious debates, I really like chatting about things in the news.

I read the forum during BB10, but did not actually join until before BB11 and my actual first post before joining in the BB threads was in the Wrestling thread because I liked that and noticed it was a very active thread at that time:blush:.

I never even knew there was more sections besides the BB section until months after I joined and BB was over lol, I stayed around because I'd gotten into such a habit of posting during BB I was having withdrawals until I discovered there was other sections

Other reality TV, it's nice that people can have similar TV interests all because the majority watch BB.

Me Andy and 30stone came up with a plan to corrupt Firewire and turn him on Hannah, Annie, and Sia. Think that was why

Well..
When I was made a mod, I was told it was only for BB. After BB10 I stuck around just to see how long it would take to demote me. After a few months, I was hooked. And never got demoted

I remember during BB3 that I stuck around because of other reality tv shows and then as the years have gone on and other sections such as the spoirts section I started the prediction game which keeps me going till BB comes back

For me a few reasons, after BB 11 I recall an amazing thread made by angus58,(brilliant member and where are they now),
However I had already made what I have to term 2 really good friends on here then too, namely Mockinator and Kazanne.
I realised that in serious debates particularly, not only was I able to say my piece but I also learned a great deal from others with the same views and opposing views and often had my own opinion altered by taking on board what others said.
That is in the main why I stayed around and am still here in fact.

If you read my post properly kizzy you will see I said serious debates were an escape from the personal bickering :idc:

I only joined the forum in the first place because someone I knew was a rumoured HM... but I saw some other website that was a virtual big brother game, and took part in that, and there were a few other TiBBers in that (Chrizzle, Billy, Tom, Legend ran it) so I sort-of joined the off-topic sections after that.
