British dance music singer Katy B has shared a new single today, following last year's great Danger EP and her spring single "What Love Is Made Of". The new track is called "5AM", and it premiered today on BBC Radio 1. Have a listen above. The singer has also been sharing photos from the recent "5AM" video shoot on Facebook. The track will be released as a single on October 28 via Rinse/Columbia.

Katy B and producer Geeneus are currently working on Katy's new album.

The songs on Katy B’s forthcoming album ‘Little Red’ now have specific titles (DON’T PANIC, ‘AALIYAH’ IS THERE).

Also, the album’s out on February 3, which is quite soon actually isn’t it.

Katy B’s label asked her for a quote for the press release and this is what she had to say for herself:

“That first album had a certain innocence about it. I think this album has a bit more experience. My relationships have got more serious, I’ve moved out of my parents’ house, I’m dealing with issues on my own. My friends are all going through that transition as well – those questions you ask of yourself as an adult.”

We told you a bit about Katy B’s forthcoming ‘Little Red’ the other day but the artwork and tracklist weren’t quite finished so here we are again, this time with some extra info about the LP’s producers.

Basically the picture above is the rather splendid artwork, the tracklist is at the end of this post and the producer details are in the paragraph that follows this one.

So Geeneus is all over the show, along with George FitzGerald, Jacques Greene, Joker, Route 94 and Artwork, while Sampha pops up on ‘Play’ and as previously noted the Jessie Ware collaboration ‘Aaliyah’ is quite rightly included on the album.

The proper, actual, this-isn’t-going-to-change tracklist is now:

I don't love Crying For No Reason but I'm glad it was a hit for her, I was worried she would fall victim to the second album curse especially as she was never a huge artist to begin with but it seems this campaign is going relatively well!

it's not my favourite song of hers by far but it's a great change of pace for her and always nice to see talented people chart well. And her performance on Graham Norton really was excellent - not seen a British singer be so commanding since Adele teasing Rolling in the Deep on Later With Jools.
