best part of BB10 was the Beyonce dance task, I nearly wet my knickers laughing at that so hard, it was genius. Sophie, Siavash and David doing the Single Ladies routine, Siavash was absolutely priceless, loved it so much :worship:

2009 was awesome. I think I was one of the four or five people knocking about when Kenneth decided to climb the wall. We had a particularly intense discussion for about two hours prior to it debating would he actually do it, if I recall. Then when he did it was the most exciting thing ever.

I didn't go out much that summer.

I think Marcus exposed himself as a knob by the end of it but he was still one of the best housemates ever.

The Vash was the king and had an almost perfect path to glory despite the last weeks moaning and posturing. He might have won had it not been for that :(.

Freddie was endless entertainment as well. Bea's heel turn on him was jaw dropping television. The effect Noreen had on the place was insane as well.

The last truly multi layered, classic Big Brother.

Then Tom left because he thought "nah I got in anyway which is all I wanted LOL and basically everyone's a dick anyway so bye" which was the best troll move ever in hindsight considering how brilliant it wound up Davina and most of the fans.

I still remember that night :laugh: one of the best sections of live feed in the shows history, IMO. I remember when they switched their mics off in the lounge toilet and then proceeded to walk out into the garden just as the sun was rising, only to then scale the roof and upon return, Marcus went into the kitchen and started washing up as if nothing happened before Big Brother called him to the DR :laugh2:

It's amazing how something like that on a TV show made me stay awake until 7am in the middle of summer

And of course 2009 had the nightly battles with dennisabre, one of this sites weirdest ever trolls

Kenneth and Isaac were the true underrated gems of BB10, not Hira. Though it was obviously carried by the legends that were Marcus, Freddie, Noirin and as much as I hated her...Bea. Every cast member played their role though perhaps with the obvious exceptions of the irrelevant Bena-I-never-know-how-to-spell-her-name woman that left first, Hira and Tom. But the rest all offered something and there were so many different sub storylines going on, it's really not a credited enough series.

what I liked about the 'old style' Channel 4 BB and particularly the earlier ones is that the housemates were not particularly chosen for 'conflicting personalities'...and that's what made it so interesting...I know that people want drama and I agree that you need the drama and the arguments to make the serious interesting/exciting and to keep you watching..but that drama and the conflicts just naturally came from people who came from different walks of life and had differing opinion or just basically clashed, which you never knew who that would happen with...people like Brian/Josh..Stuart/Amma...hmmm, I can't remember all of them but they weren't 'set up' as hero/villain characters like they seem to be now and just chosen because it's thought that their personalities will cause 'drama'..I think now it just becomes too much drama/arguments which is equally as tedious as it would be if they all drank tea all the time...also, when say a 'big character' gets voted out at the beginning, everyone blames the public/voters for 'spoiling' the show and wanting it to be a snorefest...and yeah, I know it's frustrating if you want to see more of that housemate and their 'entertainment' but I don't think the public are to blame at all because they are just naturally reacting to what the producers have contrived, which is an instant 'hero/villian' house..and obviously they can do that quite easily with the highlight editing...

..what I meant to day was that if you put in varied character from different environments/walks of life, give them tasks to do, alcohol etc, the arguments/drama will naturally happen but there will also be unexpected bonds/friendships formed as well, which are equally as interesting...they don't need to put in people who they think are just extremely conflicting/outspoken etc because trying to 'contrive' a situation just never works out as well or entertaining...
