Hmmmm, being as the extra space is right next to the Big Brother house, could a new eviction set finally be built in 2014?

Not even sure if this is good news, the crowd are bad enough as it is without room for even more of them.

It sounds like they're clearing the land to build more studios for extra income. It wouldn't really make sense to spend that much money to make the BB crowd area bigger.

Yeah, it's unlikely this will make much difference to Big Brother - Elstree's aim is clearly to be able to accommodate more higher profile productions.

BB might get a little extra space for the outdoor set, or if new stages are built then they might be able to book one for an indoor set if they want, but most of the BB facilities are fenced off in their own little compound now so I wouldn't expect major changes - and certainly not to the house seeing as the lease for the current one has just been renewed until 2018.

Isn't that just the other side of George Lucas stage? Which they no longer use? That wouldn't be of use to the BB house.

Yes, they would have to anyway because the mound isn't expected to be cleared until May because they have to work between series.
