Paul Gascoigne and George Micheal - both been at death door - genius connection ? 28.09.13
this was inspired by thoughts flooding,
because in me i see the upside down coin,
real emotions were budding,
it was heart breaking hearing about Paul Gascoigne.
you are so gifted,
that is the reality,
do you have to take blame or is it lifted,
i think most of it stems from the addictive personality.
when you have a genius,
things are like ridding a bicycle,
but the problems are listed from earth to Venus,
step in "faith" and George Micheal.
he to has been ill,
and led a similar life to Paul,
is it a "self destruct" of such a skill,
or just bad luck in hitting "snappy snaps" wall.
you wont remember these blurs,
but in my time of need,
it was when you was at "Spurs",
and they taped your voice to plant a recovery seed.
i want to return to sender,
with poetry i no you understand,
there is no hidden agenda,
and like when George Micheal was ill, i offered my hand.
Paul, you don't have to reply,
ps as your poetry is so much better,
i am sure a few forum users will cry,
as this is a prayer you stay sober and get better.
( did anyone on this forum watch this show on tv about this great man ? what did you think ? will you be joining me in a prayer to help him stay sober and well ? if you reply to this thread as normal it has to be in poemstyle. thanking you.)
