Easy one this, hand it in, but get a receipt and get the police to keep me updated.

I'd hand it in no hesitation. In all honesty, had I found cash with nothing to identify the person with it and nobody in sight to possibly be the person who lost it, I'd keep it.
I found a wallet once with about £60 quid in it, and bank cards etc. I handed that in. And I'd hand jewellery or other valuables in. Found an I phone on a bench once, rang the number for 'mum' in it, she came to get it. Didn't even say thanks lol.

Me and the kids found a wallet with cash cards and some insulin once on the canal towpath! A jogger past as we were wondering what was the best thing to do and said a fella was worried sick about a mile back. We asked a passing cyclist to take it, he did and cycled back with thanks from the bloke.
That was a nice moment, anyhoo yes I would hand it in and hope there was a reward haha.

Hand it in, no second thought at all as to that one.

I'd hand it in as well, jewelry can have a lot of sentimental value to people
Would have to get it valued first to decide my next course of action

Hand it in.
Hubby has found quite a few phones on his walks....not so many now, perhaps because they cost so much people are more careful.
I have had chocolates bought by one happy chappy...nothing for hubby:joker:
We found a purse in the middle of the road when out shopping, uni card in it so we rang the uni, they got in touch with the young girl and her dad came and picked it up. Bottle of red wine in hand as a reward I told him to share it with his wife over dinner:hugesmile:
If I found cash in the road then I would keep it.
