As I said the religion doesn't cause the war/ crime...radicals and extremists interpret it to their own ends. I know of no recognised religion that advocates unlawful killing and murder. You may correct me if I am wrong....

That sounds like "Bring back the Death Penalty", unfortunately jurors are fallible as are judges and innocent people have been hanged before, but I'd say that a Life Sentence should mean for the rest of that person's natural life, Not 12 or 14 years or even less.
