A furious father has disowned his own daughter in a stinging letter - after she kicked her son out because he was gay.

The unnamed father brands his daughter an 'abomination' after she threw her son Chad out when he revealed his sexuality.

Describing how the daughter, named only as Christine, has brought 'shame on the family', he berates the woman for her 'narrow-minded' and 'backward' actions, before ending the note saying he wants nothing to do with her.

The grandfather writes in the letter: 'I’m disappointed in you as a daughter. You’re correct that we have a 'shame in the family', but mistaken about what it is.

'Kicking Chad out of your home simply because he told you he was gay is the real 'abomination' here. A parent disowning her child is what goes 'against nature.' The only intelligent thing I heard you saying in all this was that "you didn’t raise your son to be gay". Of course you didn’t.'

'He was born this way and didn’t choose it any more than he being left-handed.'

The mystery parent's letter has since gone viral after it was posted onto the Facebook page of pro-gay youth group 'FCKH8'.

The father goes on: 'You however, have made a choice of being hurtful, narrow-minded and backward. So, while we are in the business of disowning our children, I think I’ll take this moment to say goodbye to you.

'I now have a fabulous (as the gays put it) grandson to raise, and I don’t have time for heart-less B-word of a daughter. If you find your heart, give us a call. – Dad. '

A spokesperson for FCKH8 said they contacted the grandfather and grandson and have verified that the letter is real.

So he thinks it is going against nature for a parent to disown their child....then does the same thing himself.

He is just as narrow minded as her.
She may be wrong in her actions towards her son, but he is no better.

It is refreshing to see someone from the older generation more understanding than you would have thought his daughter would be. They surprise you sometimes. I don't think he would disown her, I just think he wants her to experience how it might feel.

Have you not used this forum long enough to know that older people do not have the monopoly on ignorance?

I saw this the other day on 'Have a Gay Day' on facebook, that page is nice.

I mean obviously the whole scenario is hypocritical and ironic, but he's supporting his grandson which is lovely.

Is anyone one else bored rigid by this sort of thing. Why do we need to know every nuance of these people's private business, and why does a private letter have to be aired for all and sundry to comment on, I can't really bring myself to give a stuff.

From the way its written you can instantly tell that its fake, written by someone who is gay themselves and directed at unsupportive parents in general.

I agree with the message but have very little time for points being proven with these fake "viral stunts". I wish people would just call a spade a spade, instead of inventing things like this for (supposed) impact.
