View Full Version : Do you ever..
Do you ever read a word or say a word so many times that it starts to look/sound a bit strange to you?
I just read the word engaged a few times in that marriage thread and now it looks weird to me as if it's misspelled even though it isn't

I often do it with names.
Yeah last time it happened to me was with the word "eerie", I started to think I was spelling it incorrectly and then thought it was a really weird word because it was five letters long and three of them were e's...

I did it the other day when I was talking about balloons at work, I said balloon so many times it felt as if I just made the word balloon up. Balloon.
