I think between them, Ke$ha and Pitbull are responsible for about 30% of the music I find really irritating but this song is just amazing, they're both at their best and there's something really catchy about the whole mental barn dance sound to the track.

I think they're both in that same boat - crossover smashes work out well for both artists; one needs a pop singer to provide a catchy chorus and the other needs a radio friendly rapper to give radios a reason to play a song they're on again. I think it'll do both of them wonders and give them a renewed shot at scoring hits solo. Ke$ha might need to do more features like this to boost her profile.

His continued success surprises me. It's not that he doesn't deserve to be, he just seems really average in the grand scheme of things. Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj fall under the same category for me.

The song works so well because Pitbull's verses are solid and Ke$ha's delivery on the chorus suits her perfectly. It wouldn't work as a solo song for either of them. Hence it being a crossover smash. It's served its purpose for both artists, you can't say it was down to either one of them...
