The lines open for 10 minutes on saturday and the person with the least votes will be in the bottom 2 on the sunday (with whoever is bottom after the lines open again)
Basically it's stupid and just put in for the added drama and to get viewers voting out of panic.

I think the viewers will decide through the app, that's why they been going on about the "fifth judge" all series. Idk though this is just what I've read on DS.
but what happens if there is deadlock

That's actually very stupid, I mean why not have a quickie vote at the end?

I really hope this isn't the case and they come up with something else cause not only is it unfair to resolve a deadlock on a ten minute vote from the previous night, but more importantly it'll prove to be extremely anti-climatic if the judges votes are tied. In fact will deadlock even exist as a name anymore since there'll be no need for the flashy red lights and loud sound effects because the result of a tie will be clear to everyone? Dermot will probably be saying 'if you opt to send home X, the votes will be tied and Y will be leaving the competition because they lost last night's Flash Vote'...um...how dull is that.
Gone are the dramatic judges votes and deadlocks if this is true

Whilst I'd prefer an app to resolve a tie there'd surely be major technical issues and a chance that the result might not actually be accurate? Doubt it'd be very reliable.
They should get the acts to vote one of them off if there's a deadlock tbh [/fameacademy], now that'd be interesting

I can imagine it now... Sam C sending Nicholas home, resulting in him losing loads of fans :joker:

LOL it'd be great, I've always wished they would put cameras in the X Factor house and give us live feed like Fame Academy used to have
Seriously though the thought of losing deadlocks is sad  this is such a badly thought through idea

Lmao, last year the sing off was rendered pointless several times with the constant deadlock.
But this would render the entire Sunday show pointless because the flash vote person was announced the night before. And 10 minutes versus 24 hours isn't very fair.
